    Hey guys! We thought since so many of you visit Daiso on your trips to Japan, you might enjoy this review of snacks purchased from this very popular 100 yen store located throughout the country. If you do enjoy this video, please let us know and we will do more for you guys!

    • @erinuber2881
      @erinuber2881 7 лет назад +1

      Yes! This was great! I hope you'll do this type of video again. For people who have Daiso in their countries, as we do in the United States, we might even be able to get some of the same snacks you've tried, which would be fun! :-)

      Tania Loves Japan I hope there will be one near you one of these days! Shopping at Daiso is fun. We have some Daiso stores here in California, and I think there are some in other states, too, so it might happen! :-)

      OMG I wish! HUmmmm..... I could send you money and you could go get me tons of stuff from Daiso! LOL
      I doubt it though Kansas is super boring except for earlier today with the psycho neighbor!

    I tried some of the Daiso marshmallows when I was in Tokyo because I love marshmallows lol My favorite was macha. Grape was pretty good too. Strawberry was too sweet and artificial tasting. やっぱり抹茶のがおすすめです! Can never go wrong with macha flavor.. I love it too much!

  • @erinuber2881
    @erinuber2881 7 лет назад +2

    Another note: I just tried the matcha-kuzu drink. It was pretty good, although for me it was a bit more sweet than I like. However, I liked the thick consistency a lot. Also, a note to Shinichi...at least here, they also had the ginger version here a few months ago! I bought it, because I love ginger tea also, but I haven't tried it so I will try it tomorrow. Maybe now that the weather is getting warmer, they are selling out of these drinks. That happens here, and they stop offering them again until next winter, at least in our local stores. You might be able to find them again next winter! :-)

    We like Daiso a lot but don't have one where we are. Recently on a trip to San Francisco we went in one and picked up a few items. Being British I wanted to try their Mini Digestive Biscuits with chocolate on top, cost me US$2. They were really good and recommend them, just as good as any British version of the product I have bought.

    I absolutely adore both of your reactions, every time you try something different!! ☺️ The black sesame marshmallows sound delicious!! I so wish that our Daiso had delicious snacks like yours does. Everything at our Daiso is $1.50, unless marked otherwise, i.e., $3.00 and $5.00.
    What I would love to see on one of your videos, is an actual stroll through your local Daiso, while filming. I'd love to see all of the fun things that you guys have, that we can't get a hold of stateside.

    Ohayo Gozaimasu! Early morning in Hakodate and what a great way to start my day - smiling with you two. I wonder if they have DAISO here. I already found the Lawsons and they had my favourite chocolate choux buns! All thanks to you two introducing me to Lawsons. Now I have to look for chocolate wasabi :) Satoshi - you talked more! See! You can do it! Your English is great! Have a PERFECT day!

    It's so funny that you waited until now to try snacks from Daiso...I get snacks every time I'm there! They are usually pretty good. The last time I was there, I got the matcha-kuzu drink, but I haven't actually tried it yet. Now I have to try it this morning! If I could try one thing from your video, I'd love to try the black sesame marshmallows, though. I love black sesame desserts! You clearly get more snacks there than we do here. We need to get more snacks in the United States Daiso stores! Thanks for another great video, and I hope you'll try more snacks from Daiso again one day! :-)

    I think the Gruel comes from the very ancient Dutch Gruwel ( mixed groats, wine, currents and sugar) to keep one warm in the winter.
    Japan and The Netherlands had a very close relationship once and that is where recipes began to become intertwined :-)
    Thank you for this very entertaining video!

    Great vido as always, it's so interesting to explore new products together ^^ I had the Matcha and Calpis version of those filled marshmallow, I did love the texture and the taste was also great but not that stong as i expected, it was a pleasure to eat but not my favourite (I did order some treats online from Japan for my birthday, ooh felt in love with "Meji melty kiss, matcha" and a cheap dried meat snack "Big Katsu" like a dried tonkatsu but made out of surimi from the company Kadõ, did you ever had this?) wish you all the best ^^/

    We have Daiso branches out here in Manila! Daiso Select isn't as diverse as yours but I love what we get since I'm a sucker for nuts and rice crackers. Beer snacks, if you will! To clear out stock, they sometimes go on sale for about 40yen and that's when I stock up. They also have a very nice apple tea I bought once.

    Highlight of my day: Watching you both cringe at the same time while eating the wasabi chocolate! It was so funny! I am super sensitive to wasabi, so I would have probably reacted worse. It looked like a lot of wasabi and very think coating of chocolate, yikes!
    Thanks for this video; it was so fun to watch! I have never been to a Daiso, nor have one near me, so if I ever come across one, I can try the same snacks as you guys! So yes, please do more. I love watching you guys! Thanks for all that you do!

    Wasabi kitkats?? Hahahaha... If I visit Japan now I know what to bring back a lot of for souvenirs. They'd go over REAL well at the office. I'll have to see if the local Daisos carry the wasabi chocolates... would like to try some. Can't eat too many, though, have to watch the sugar. Come to think of it.. do they still carry the "mogicha bullets" that you can stick down the mouth of a mineral water bottle? Haven't had that in a while, will have to check next weekend. The Daisos here are all different, there's one in particular that sells a lot of snacks and food.

    Those wasabi chocolates are calling my name. I LOVE wasabi. I know I'm such a freak for how much wasabi I can eat on stuff. I have even freaked my friends out by eating it plain. my mom is just as bad, she likes to spread it on crackers.
