Please never stop making videos together! Me and my husband absolutely love them and we are going through ALL of your videos! You guys are the best!!! ♥️♥️♥️
This was my favorite video so far! I could actually feel Satoshi's joy. He's absolutely adorable! And, the connection between the two of you is sweet. :)
I love love loved today's video! Satoshi-san was sooooo cute. It is so much fun to watch Satoshi-san talk about things he likes/is passionate about ^_^
They're called "Soft Salad" because they're softer than normal senbei and use salad-yu in the process. They could have been called "sho-aji' or something like that but English phrases (even ones that don't make a lot of sense in American English) are more interesting and exotic than boring old Japanese descriptions. "Crunky" made me laugh when Satoshi showed us the bar because "crunk" is American English slang for getting crazy drunk. The frog has a gun so he must be a policeman.
Shinichi and Satoshi, you both bring so much joy to everyone who is fortunate enough to watch all of your channels. I wish there was more time in the day so I could watch more of you. Thank you both for sharing your sweet, loving and inspiring videos!
Ahhh! I feel so special! I have had many of Satoshi's favorite snacks and they are my favorites, too. Someone gave me a huge package of Japanese snacks and I instantly loved many of them. I have had the chocolate wheat snack, the famous Kappa Ebisen, and the Umai Bo (both flavors), and the Cabbage Taro. I loved them ALL, but my all time faves are the Umai Bo corn pottage and the Cabbage Taro snacks. I ate the whole bag in one sitting! They are so good and unlike anything we have in the states. I wish I could get them all the time.... I'm so jealous, LOL. Thanks for sharing this yummy video!
From the internet Soft salad (sofuto sarada) is a salty, dry Japanese rice cracker snack food trademarked by Kameda Seika. The name derives from the fact that it is softer than traditional senbei, and that salad-yu (sarada-yu, Japanese for vegetable oil) is used in the manufacturing process. The company decided to use the term "salad-flavored" rather than "salt-flavored (shio-aji)" in order to have a more fashionable, western-sounding name. However, since the name is confusing, the name is often unofficially appended as soft salad senbei
My first thought was also Salad Oil flavor. Kind of like when you drizzle just a little bit of olive oil just enough to give it some flavour and moisture without adding a ton of calories.
Paritto and sakkuto had to be googled but I got the picture. Those snacks look like my dream snacks. Love the crunchiness and all the chocolatiness (if that's a word) of these. Satoshi you can fill my cupboard with snacks and my freezer with ice cream and I will be a happy camper. This was a good one and the ice cream and chocolate covered wheat puffs would be my favorite. Thanks for sharing. I'll have to check out Amazon for some of these just to try them out. 😁
No way.... SATOSHI! That's my favorite too! If you're ever in Brooklyn New York, and you have a Cabbage Taro emergency, go to Midoriya JP convenience store and they have you covered :D ...no but really, that's gotta have controlled substances in it because it's impossible to stop eating. Someone do a chemical analysis of that Cabbage Taro pls... Thanks for reviewing these snacks you guys, you two are the Cabbage Taro of RUclipsrs , I can't stop watching
This was so adorable! And funny! You're so cute 😍. Satoshi, I really loved to discover your favorite snacks. Everything looks delicious. Thanks for sharing! Please more videos like this, guys! Love you both very much ❤️
I LOOOVED seeing Satoshi being so analytical, explaining the reasons why he loves these snacks, you can feel his happiness and passion (to a degree) behind every explanation SO CUTE!! ( ◜‿◝ )♡
Never change, Satoshi. No matter how heavy life gets your joy always makes me smile. I'm so happy you both have each other, you're an amazing couple. ❤
"What does Sasha mean? Sasha Velour? I know Sasha Velour" That had me i stitches!! I am so sorry my local Asian supermarkets don't carry all the things you showed us, because I NEED to try them all out!! Thank you for this very entertaining and delicious video.
Wow that ice cream looks awesome. We have nothing like that in Southern California. Satoshi is a cheap date, he likes mostly 100 Yen snacks. Haha. They all look delicious. "I will die tomorrow", hahahahah that made me bust out laughing.
The Cabbage Taro mascot is a little police frog, he has a pink gun on his hip. It made me think of Barney Fife from Mayberry R.F.D. I wanted to ask him "Do you got your bullet?" If you don't know what that is I suggest Google it. Thanks for the laugh and the video. We like the deep fried rice crackers, but they are hard to find.
You guys are awesome! I love watching your videos and learning about Japan and all of your favorite things and foods! Thank you for sharing with us! Love from Texas!
5:00 I was told once that they are just softer rice cakes that are fried in salad oil, which is (in the US) an old-fashioned term (1950s and 1960s) for non-specific vegetable oil. It got called that because it was preferred oil for making salad dressings, which were (then) almost all made from this light oil, some kind of vinegar, sometimes cream, some kind of sweetening (sugar syrup or honey), herbs and spices.
I'm enjoying a bag of Cabbage Taro I recently found in my local SoCal 7-11 as I type this! Thank you so much for teaching me about this snack. They are delicious and I never would have picked them up if not for discovering TabiEats!
This is so fun! Satoshi, may I ask, were any of these snacks favorite treats from your childhood? They all look really delicious. Some of them are among my favorite treats, too! There are some I have not tried yet. This was really fun, and it was so nice to see all three of you together (Justin included). Sending lots of good wishes your way! Thank you for making great videos!
thank you guys so much for your videos, I lived in Okinawa as a kid and you have given me the name of my favorite rice crackers.... I loved Kabuki age so much. THANK YOU!!!
So good to watch you. Satoshi all snack you like it reminds me my son ,when he was a kid. Now hes 30 yrs old still his favorite. , gonna visit him in Japan on october.
I'd love to see some diabetics "no sugar" snack from Japan maybe? I am going to Japan in the half of March and I want to buy something tasty form my grandmother!
Haha needs permission to buy snacks but now hes got it. Another great video you two! Love from Canada ❤ Also I agree with Satoshi, I've tried that ice cream and absolutely love it.
You guys are wonderful together!! You both are adorable! Love how you both explain what the food is like.. hoping to one day visit japan and learn more about where my dads side of the family came from. Love you guys 😍
Love Japanese snacks, it's painful having to fork out 6 times the price in some cases here in London, knowing the fact that we were only in Japan not that long ago! 😒
the Japan Centre has a selection of Japanese food but yes they expensive sometimes Stupid levels of expensive for example a pack of dried Udon noodles £7.50
Yea that's where we usually go for our Japanese food. We went to some other shop in Chinatown that sold the grape sweets you can buy in any combi store in Japan for 100 Yen, and it was £6!
I loved this so much! I saw a few of my faves too =). Satoshi cracks me up, every time Shinichi asks why he likes it so much the answer is "eat it," like it speaks for itself haha. "I got permission," I feel like this sometimes when I shop for snack with my husband, like I somehow need his permission to buy a snack he doesn't want/like LOL.
We have the same taste in snacks Satoshi! We have an international market near where I live, one of the biggest in the world. You can buy food from nearly every country in the world there, my favorite isle is the Japan isle. I've tried almost everything you had today because I bought it there! I LOVED it all! :)
All looks yumny! I like crunchy snacks too. I think the weave choc are the most interesting in terms of flavor as there're 3 flavours in 1 bite; the colors are pretty too. 👍
Satoshi, You have great taste in snacks! I have to say, I love the Shrimp Chips, but I have to closely follow that up with the Cabbage Taro, they are definitely good and a favorite of mine as well! I would love to try the ice cream though, it looked really good! Thank you for sharing your favorites!
I love Crunky chocolate but I have to up my game with that gorgeous looking Sasha. I appreciate these videos because it helps me decide what to try when faced with shelves of snacks.
Salad Pretz was my absolute favorite snack in Japan and now we can't get that flavor in the US anymore. I wonder if it is still in Japan. Whenever I see a green box of Pretz I get excited then find it is pizza pretz flavor ohhh nooo. I do like the corn potage crunchy stick, it is surprisingly exactly corn soup. The crunchy stick turns right into soup when you bite it! Well not really but it's a strong corn soup flavor and it melts in your mouth. Yum.
I love you guys!!! This episode was so good, I feel so happy watching you two being happy and just enjoying good snacks and good. Love it! The aura in this episode felt especially joyful
Satoshi is so cute with his snacks !
He looks so happy here. Probably one of the happiest Satoshi videos I’ve ever seen.
salad-yu (sarada-yu, Japanese for vegetable oil) is used in the manufacturing process
Please never stop making videos together! Me and my husband absolutely love them and we are going through ALL of your videos! You guys are the best!!! ♥️♥️♥️
Satoshi is so adorable LOL...." I got permission!"
Satoshi is so cute and bubbly! He seems like such a fun guy to hang out with

I love love loved today's video! Satoshi-san was sooooo cute. It is so much fun to watch Satoshi-san talk about things he likes/is passionate about ^_^
Yes, you can see how his eyes sparkle when he talks about his favorite snacks. :]]

戦後、サラダという単語がお洒落だから流行ったと聞いたことがあります
Satoshi is the best. Love his specials. ☆
I love the packaging on all of these so much. When you open a package and little bites are perfectly wrapped. So cute.
Ahhh! I feel so special! I have had many of Satoshi's favorite snacks and they are my favorites, too. Someone gave me a huge package of Japanese snacks and I instantly loved many of them. i still say an extended umaibo taste-test would be cool, so many different flavors , as mentioned before the beef tongue was surprisingly nice

You guys should put together a taste box we could purchase and try. I would TOTALLY buy them. Everything looks sooooo good!
Satoshi couldnt have been more sweet and adorable. He needs Sinichi’s permission to buy his snacks ☺️
That's when i knew they were a couple not just friends...
No way.... SATOSHI! That's my favorite too! If you're ever in Brooklyn New York, and you have a Cabbage Taro emergency, go to Midoriya JP convenience store and they have you covered :D

I love Satoshi’s measured, well-researched dedication to choosing the perfect snack, right down to the best brand and best flavour.
you guys are so adorable together and so funny when Satoshi said he has his permission, so respectful yet sweet
I can picture Satoshi as an old man telling the most interesting snack stories around a camp fire.

Satoshi is a very genuine and wonderful person. He loves food so much, but stays so thin, which is an ideal situation for our Satoshi!
