You know I was here when satoshi was so shy in front of the camera because of his english, and we would encourage him that his english was better then he thought. With that being said, how much he has been talking the videos, just makes me so happy! I like yall guys so much!! Stay confident my friends!!
His english is amazing and I really love listening to him. We can really hear how he is trying his best. I can only imagine how hard it is to learn english as a japanese, since I am in the opposite situation just as we speak. ;)
I'm an English speaking American but even I know Satoshi's English has so much more conviction than mine! Everything he says is like an excited poem of love! I just give up...please keep making the movies about the food.
I agree! Love hearing Satoshi speak, he’s gotten way more fluent than he seems to believe. I also love hearing Sinichi speak Japanese...especially with his mother 🥰
It is mind-blowing to see how powerful his English has become and his fluid switch between Japanese to English (and back) while retaining 100% of his personality. He is a very impressive person.
Shinichi and Satoshi do such a good job making it feel like you're traveling along with them experiencing new places and food! Thanks for being awesome! You've inspired us to start our own channel because we're just as obsessed with food. :D
I love how excited you guys are about food. And I also love how much more confident Satoshi has become over the last few years. And he looks so good with that beard.
I hate this channel. They make me want to go to Japan even more so I can try these foods even when I know never will be able to. These are sad times. (I don't actually hate them don't flame me)
I'm right there with you Derpington. have wanted to go to Japan for the last 5 or 6 years. These guys are amazing and totally make me want to go even more.
I honestly thought it would be impossible for me and my family to go but we actually did and it was a dream come true! When you decide to go, you may be able to find a way because it will motivate you to save money. I hope you get to go someday! 🙂
@@justingerbert2395 : I know what you mean, they are like good will ambassadors for Japan. If Japan has a Ministry of Tourism, they should reward these guys for all of the positive buzz they create!
Hi Shinichi and Satoshi! I just wanted to tell you that I when I last went to Tokyo I bought every single thing that you guys recommended in your two-part supermarket video. All of them! It was a special mission which I allocated time for and IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!! I also went to the Kinshicho Daiso just because of your video. Thanks guys, your channels are so good. xo :)
Watching your older videos during the pandemic will never get tiring for me. I absolutely love the way Satoshi describes food; it was one of the many reasons I subscribed so long ago!
My son and I are going-coming (??) to Tokyo in the fall of this year. I’ve saved the videos of the places you’ve gone that we’re going to visit. BUT....we are most looking forward to visiting the cold noodle shop you went to with Ai (?), where they make the noodles and dumplings right in the shop!! I’m definitely trying the Korean style cold noodles 🥰 Love you guys & I love Justin 🐶♥️
Asakusa is by far my favourite suburb of Tokyo, I had the pleasure of being based there when visiting Japan last January, and I tried many of the delivious snacks you try in this video. I will be returning to Japan in March this year (for 3 months) but this time based in Osaka. I have been binge watching your videos for a while, because they are so inspiring. Thank-you TabiEats for helping me to love Japan even more!
Ooooh more snacks to try in Asakusa! I've got so many to try between your videos and Paolo From Tokyo. Even though my first full day in Tokyo is a Saturday I'm still going to spend most of it in Asakusa eating and wandering and seeing the temple and cherry blossoms. Can't wait! Thank you for all your great recommendations! 😊
Mmmmm! Everything looked scrumptious, Shinichi and Satoshi! The pork and vegetable monjya looked savory and delicious. The melon pan with whipped cream looked light and refreshing...the sukiyaki melon pan looked so yummy! The strawberry cheese pancake looked to die for. The french toast sandwich looked nice and tasty. The soup looked warm and filling with all the great ingredients...and the hot drinks were a great ending to all of the wonderful street food. Thanks for sharing your day with us! 😊❤ Asakusa looks like a very fun and inviting place to visit!
The sukiyaki melon pan sounds almost like a Japanese spin on the doughnut burger. In the U.S. (or at least the part I'm from), Sonic Drive-In used to sell French toast breakfast sandwiches.
Hi Satosh and Sinichi 👋🏼 you know I’m an old time subscriber and love every video you both produce, but your street food ones are my absolute favourite, especially the sweets and desserts ones lol. Oh my gosh how amazing! I need to come to Japan one day for sure. Happy weekend my friends
Asakusa has captured my heart as much as the rest of Japan was, Asakusa is home for me now in Japan, I have been there in 2019 and early 2020 of this year in January, loved it!
This was a fabulous video!!! Everything looked amazing...I could almost smell that ginger tea!!! The surroundings were gorgeous as were both of you!!! Love and hugs!!!
Ahhh!! The food looks so good! Also completely random, but my best friend introduced me to your channel. We used to share and discuss your videos together up until she died in a car accident a couple months ago. After she died, I avoided your videos because it reminded me of her, but I realize I gotta keep watching your videos in her honor. Plus I love your channel! Anyway, just wanted to share. Have a great day and keep it up! I'm sure she's still watching your videos in heaven!
Gil Asakawa You can do what I did when I was drunk one night in Japan; buy a regular melon pan at a conbin, rip it open in half, then pop a hot, meaty filling of your choice, such as fried chicken, etc.
I went to Asakusa in September 2017, I really enjoyed the beautiful temples. Only regret was all of the street food stalls were closed for the day so I didn’t get the full experience here. There where still a lot of souvenir and candy shops open, though I really missed out on the food. I’m looking forward to visit again some day.
Yes! please come back there this was such a great video, you made me feel like I was there tasting everything and experiencing the flavors, I just love these kinds of videos they are super fun and exciting, I really need and want to visit Japan soon, thanks Shinichi and Satoshi, love you guys, bye for now!
I always stay in Asakusa when in Tokyo, I see it as my second but favorite home, and on my way to Asakusa station pass by these stores in Nakamise dori every morning and even if I had breakfast before- I always have to buy a snack in one of them because everything is tasty 😋 That melon pan store and Ichigo sweets store - are probably on top of my list. Thank you for reminding me of them.
You could open up an Amazon store and ship products. It would be cool to see a video on the crafts that are sold there. I love the little miniature shops that you can put together.
Shinichi is Japanese American and he grew up in Hawaii, he has an American accent and Satoshi is Japanese. Long time viewers of TabiEats encouraged Satoshi to talk more in front of the camera a few years ago to get him more confident with his English speaking, now he's a pro :)
So excited for this video! I was in Tokyo a year ago but was on a ton of medications that made it almost impossible to eat, but I'm headed back in less than a month and I plan to EAT EAT EAT!!! I need that strawberry rare cheese cake!
When I went to Tokyo in August, I stayed in Asakusa. I absolutely love it there, I visited Senso-ji Temple almost every day. The taiyaki was delicious along with the sweet potatoes with sesame seeds when I was there
Oh my goodness, so much delicious street food, I would definitely try all of them! I'm watching this video today, and I've just received a postcard from my Japanese friend from Tokyo, and guess what, the photo is the Asakusa shopping square, with the view of Asakusa Temple. This is definitely a synchronicity! Love you Shinichi and Satoshi 💕
Someday I would love to come to Japan. When I was a little girl, my big brother lived in Osaka for a year, (1977) We also had Japanese exchange students in 1976. I have always wanted to go!
You guys should post locations. Like for example the puffed rice cake place? I had to use street view in Google maps to find it. And I can't find the last place you went to for the hot drinks.
Hi Shinichi and Satoshi! It is so fun to see you trying more delicious street food!! The sukiyaki melon pan was so interesting. I wish I could try the kiritampo soup. I have always wanted to try that. It looks amazing. Thank you for the video!
The food always looks so delicious and makes me want some and it is nice to see the places and where to go if you ever have the opportunity to and where to get good food wherever you visit.
So glad I found this channel. I'm going to Japan in the next couple years so I'm trying to learn as much as I can! Thank you for putting up these videos.
Thank you for this! I was there in Feb 2015 but I arrived late as the vendors were shutting down. I was also in a big hurry to get to the castle since that was my main purpose for being there. The foods looked so good as I rushed by!
As I will be staying in Asakusa again on my next visit I am building up quite a collection of your lovely videos for checking out things when I come. At this rate, I won't have time to go anywhere else in Tokyo 😄! I have bought melon bread on every one of my visits in the first shop you filmed ... but the new Strawberry one 🍓!!! Wow. 🍓 A question. What will happen to the shop when it isn't strawberry season? (Of course they could change the fruit, but will they change their name?)
I would try absolutely everything you guys ate today. Please go there again because I'm very curious as to what food is at the other stalls. I think I like your street food better than the ones I've seen.
