Thanks for taking the time to make these. I’m a coarse angler, but looking to get into a bit of boat fishing when I (finally) retire. Videos like yours are helping me learn what I need and methods etc. Really looking forward to getting out on a boat. Keep up the good work. If you can include a few tackle reviews it would help viewers like me. Thanks!
Thanks Dave and good luck getting on the water, you can’t beat it. I get quite a few requests for more talk about tackle so I might do a dedicated video. I did one a while back which you might find useful as a starting point? Here’s a link, cheers. Just tackle talk! ruclips.net/video/a4lDngMhmM4/видео.html
I enjoy your fishing trips as I live locally to you, but only manage a bit of shore fishing. It would be nice if you mentioned how you prepare and cook the fish you keep? Just a few tasty little snippets?? You obviously enjoy what you do and I look forward to some more video.
Thanks Andrew, I’ll give that some thought. I have a short section about preparing mackerel on this video if you’re interested, starting from about 34 minutes in: ruclips.net/video/GCUEpLH_ASs/видео.htmlsi=ysyLCa_doed5nrNo
Now THAT is a fish that saves everybodies day. I realy like your video's because you never use faul language. Only thing that surprises me is that so many fisherman ignore the great taste of a poutingfillet. Here in Holland we call them wrakrats but i find them fried in batter far better than many other "white" fish. Anyway a most enjoyable video again. Thanks and greetz from Stipo from Holland. Ps i hope you share more info on the gear you are using like, how many lb the rod and line and your reel. I think lots of fisherman watching your video's can (like i do) learn from this. 👍👍👍
I’d like to see you do a video on buying a boat. I’m looking to get one when I fully retire but the choice is vast and so is the cost. Something like you got, the running cost including mooring fees, insurance, maintenance costs etc. Hope this is something you could produce in the future. Thank you 👍
Thanks Andrew, I’ll give that some thought. Have you looked at The Fishlocker? John has a video about boat buying, also Graeme from TA Fishing has a walk around his boatyard on one of his videos (I can’t remember which video, sorry) but he compares different boat types. The best advice I can offer is have a look in your local area and see what boats are popular then have s chat, most boat owners are happy to chat about their boat. Good luck boat hunting! 👍
@@fishingsalcombe thank for your reply. I’m not in a rush to find a boat but would like to get one, one day. Not a great sailor so I’d have to pick my days 🤢🤣
@@fishingsalcombe thanks for the reply. That's the vessel I am after, obviously it suits your needs-any issue or regrets. I reckon Ling is the best tasting fish in the sea unfortunately we don't get them in and around the Solent where I am. Enjoy your catch and tight lines.
Thanks Dave, it was a struggle on 25lb Fluoro! If I was fishing for ling I would have been able to lift it on board with the line but the chewed fluorocarbon would definitely have parted if I’d tried that!👍
Yes, it was a struggle Tim. If I had been aiming for ling I’d have had stronger line and would have been able to lift it onboard. My half-chewed 25lb fluoro was not going to handle that! 👍
What a cracking fish! Well done. You deserved that 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Dave👍🎣

Watched you for a while and love the channel
You are the pout king
🤣 yes mate! Unfortunately the bigger fish live amongst and feed on the pout so catching them is inevitable 👍🎣
Awesome. It was on the menu at The Star in York on Friday. You don’t often see it in restaurants but was a great eat!
Cheers Bri, yes, it’s a great eating fish and freezes really well too! 👍👌

Well done Rob. Great ling that! I guess that was Wed maybe? I was working at sea last week and wished i was out there. Thurs was something different!
It was last Friday, just took me a while to get round to editing it. I know what you mean about the week though, might take a bit if settling now!
@fishingsalcombe aah yes. I was going to pop out on kayak yesterday, but wasn't feeling it!

Always good to hear from you, Stipo! Thanks for the feedback, I can always add a bit more tackle talk! Tight lines 👍🎣
Love watching your videos I need to get out and wet those lines this week 🤞
Thanks mate! Nice building tides this week if you get the chance to go out 🎣🎣🎣
Well done buddy on your 200k subscribers , excellent videos look forward to seeing a lot more, few less pouting perhaps !
Indeed, but like a previous commenter said, if there are no pouting, there would be no bigger fish! 👍
Great fish well done sir great video as always
Thanks Brian👍🎣
Congratulations. Over 2k subscribers and that lovely ling 🎉🎉🙃🙃🙃
Cheers Lee 👍👍🎣
Wow great Ling very good fish well done
Cheers mate 👍
Well done for the subscription, good video for the days we kept on land
Thanks John👍
Nice fish and congrats on the 2k. Keep up the great videos
Thanks mate👍🎣

What a fish ! Fantastic 👊
Cheers mate👍🎣
Great Fish... Nice one 😊
Cheers Mark, yes, very happy with the ling👍🍗
I’ve no idea what that drumstick is for 🤣🤣
Congratulations on 2k , i watch from Waterford Ireland, better than the telly. Keep it up.
Thanks mate, I’ve never fished in Ireland but I hear you have some great bass on your doorstep 👍🎣
My biggest lure caught bass is an 85cm one in my avatar, off the shore. Some beauties come out here alright.
Wow! That’s a beast of a fish!
Cracking fish mate and ever better your experiment paid what a feeling 👏 👌
Thanks Paul. Yes, it definitely made the day!👍🎣
Nice one , lovely ling 👏
Cheers mate, yes, very happy with that fish👍🎣
Cracking effort 👌
Thanks Harry👍
New to you channel, great fish well. What boat are you in, is it a Warrior?
Thanks for getting involved with the channel Simon! Yes it’s a Warrior 175 with a Yamaha 100 on the back👍👍

No regrets with the Warrior mate. You might like this video:

Congrats on the 2k subs 😊. Well done with that ling rob a bit of a struggle but worth it 😊

I have had a few small ones so far this year I want one like that great table fish
Yes, great to catch and eat! Tight lines 👍🎣
great video once again, maybe net tail first next time lol
I know it was a struggle but I reckon if I’d tried tail first, one flick against the net and my bite-weakened 25lb fluoro would have parted! 👍🎣
@@fishingsalcombe good point, i think you may have been a tad upset .
Roll on 20!
🤣🤣
Nice fish that well done
Cheers Mark👍🎣
Well done you rob
Thanks Jimmy 👍
Monster!
She was!!
Brilliant fish I love ling
Me too, I was lucky to land it on 25lb fluorocarbon - it was almost bitten through when I checked it later 🎣🎣
A nice Ling sir
Thanks David 👍
Have a look at stainless steel Steve for a fantastic net
Thanks for that. I see he has a new website coming, I’ll take a look when it’s done 👍
You need a bigger net !
Yes, it was a struggle Tim. If I had been aiming for ling I’d have had stronger line and would have been able to lift it onboard. My half-chewed 25lb fluoro was not going to handle that! 👍
Cracking fish 🤓🐠, your like John Locker, he's plagued with Dogfish, your plagued with pouting 🤓
Thanks John, every area has its scavenger! 👍
Without the small fish there would be no bigger fish like Ling and Pollack.
Very true, just wish they wouldn’t ruin my expensive lures 🤣🤣
Show us the filleting, prepping the fish
Have a look at the end of this one 👍
