The reason GTA SA had a much creepier atmosphere in the forests or in Smoke's Crack Palace is because you never actually saw anything paranormal yet people were saying that they saw ghosts/bigfoot. theres also a easter egg of a moving broken glendale (theres no way you can repair the glendale) and it moves on its own. You can enter the broken glendale. By only finding this vehicle in the woods (i didnt play san andreas a really really long time, so im not sure if it can be found on open roads) might be the rarest car to get. (again i didnt play this game very long so i dont know)

The Glendale can't be repaired because the devs replaced every panel on the car with it's damaged counterpart, and it's a completely new car added to the game known as "glenshit" in the files. It rolls down the hill because the Glendale doesn't spawn at an angle but rather completely upright at a 0⁰ angle meaning that it will gain momentum and roll down the hill. As you can see I can also write multiple sentences about a very well known thing in a game but that doesn't make me look smart.

The lack of cheats in recent GTA's is what hurts me the most. I remember playing San Andreas for hours without doing a single mission, just enjoying the pure amazing fun of all the chaos you could create with all of the cheats.
yeah. GTA IV is a great game, but the only thing that ruins it is when you finish all the missions... and there is no "AEZAKMI" type of cheat.... what fun can I do then? Hitting people with the car is so realistic, but since there is no cheat code for never wanted level, the game is stupid. I really felt that I have nothing to do anymore, when I finished the game and remembered that there is no "never wanted" cheat.
Whats most frustrating is that, they do give you a immortaility cheat but its for 5 minutes????? like wtf??? why can't it be permanent till i deactivate it?

I really liked the vibe of GTA SA. I used to play open world mobile games like Vegas Crime Simulator, Rope Hero etc. but when I played GTA SA, I was amazed to see how advanced this game was (despite knowing that this game was still around 10-12 years old). I was firstly amazed to see how big its map was, how many cars it had, and the fact that it had accessible planes! I spent eternity trying to get into Los Santos International airport and when I finally got to fly a plane, I immediately got 4 star wanted level during my ride. All these memories, I think I can never make such memories again with any other game as this one was the first "Computer Game" I played.
Gta V without mods will feel boring to play after a while, but GTA SA even without mods have infinite things to do and every cheat code in gta SA has its own fun
These weathers thing are not exactly true. Right, technically GTA SA has 256 weathers, but most of them are used for interior lighting, "EXTRACOLOURS" are used for interiors too, while "underwater" is an underwater ambience, it's not technically a weather, so it's 20 weathers in total, most of them are very similar. As for the creepy ambience, it's not entirely a GTA V issue, it's an "issue" with newer games in general, older technology is creepier than modern, that's why for example, VHS is frequently used in horror movies, instead of 4K modern video. GTA V looks realistic, so less creepy, when SA tried many different tricks to achieve fog or rain, that wouldn't look like shit, has lower rendering distance, less detailed environment etc., so it's more uncanny with more imagining going in our brain. For the same reason, I think that PS2 horrors were the best
Not just SA. all the games from early 2000's seems to have been involved in conspiracy theories. A very common name for such mysteries are the two beloved NFS games Most Wanted (2005) and Carbon (2006). In MW (2005) there was Bridge that could only be seen from certain points on the map. It led out of the city . there were many mysteries surrounding it like it is grown big in size and that it moves from its original position towards the players car and other sort of crap. In Carbon. there were 8 mystery city textures spread around the entire map and for a long time they were theorized to be all the previous amp location which have been appeared in previous NFS games. But they were just left over texture from the main map and were left in the game bcz the developers didn"t have time to do the final polishing of the product and were then found by the NFS community. (Carbon was heavily rushed. it was made in just 11 months after MW (2005)).
It's all about graphics nowadays. Kids these days will never understand what a classic game San Andreas is. They just cringe when they look at the graphics.

Be honest, San Andreas was the best. If they genuinely would've worked on definitive edition, brought back the featured which we couldn't use back in the days due to hardware limitations and not messed up, it would've been simply too good😭
i personally think that the reason GTA:SA is more fun is because the dev doesn't need to put as much thoughts and time towards the graphics, and can spend more on other aspects such as details and whatnots, while GTA:V, being a game in a modern era, dev is more urged to make a beautiful graphics including the animations. the same goes to games like Cyberbug 2077.

They had the same thing in Saints Row 2, if you defeated the Yakuza for example you unlocked a karate based fighting style with crazy spinning kicks, every game since then you just throw punches…
GTA SA felt like you had the freedom to explore the map and do other things. You can advance the story on your own time. The New GTA makes it feel like you absolutely have to play the story and leave little in the way of exploring the world map or taking on side mission.

GTA San Andreas was absolutely insane for its time. And it was developed in just 1 year and 9 months! (according to Wikipedia). Meanwhile we're waiting for GTA 6 since 2013....

Have you played red dead 2? It took 8 years and all 3 sub divisions of Rockstar to make it. If you want a master piece, you have to be patient. I remember having so much fun with the super bunny hop cheat while riding a bicycle. After hopping around a ton in the city, the bike and CJ suddenly started burning; like, literal combustion out of nowhere. 😆
I remember accidentally finding glitch with the bike jump when hitting L1 / Mouse 1 just when you release jump it jumps i think 3x higher and combining it with cheat was crazy
Also love how you can gain muscle/fat in SA based on your activity level and diet. Go to the gym and you get buff, run everywhere or swim too much and you lose fat, eat too much and you gain fat. That was great
I play GTA sa still today on my mobile, the most lovely thing about this game is that there are so many mods and so many missions that some people even never heard of that they existed in the game. This game was made for pure fun and the toughest gta series yet, I have still not completed it 100% though. What I really liked was you can personalize your body anyway you want like muscles and tattoos
Fun fact you could indeed fly to North Yankton early gta online. I'm sure there's still videos but rockstar decided to patch it and add a dead zone on that side on the map now so you can't get there anymore

If you want the same speed effect just look down while driving or riding. If you want more speed than ever, activate and deactivate franklin's special hability, you just have to let it 1 second, then turn it off and then turn on again for another 2 secconds. Now just activate and deactivate fast while speeding. It will significantly increase the speed even if you're just starting to move or crashed. Then look down as I've said.

In gta San Andreas they added everything they could to still have good framerates on most platforms while keeping variety and realism. In gta 5 they prioritized with extremely realistic graphics and optimizing it.
I was member of a online community of GTA SA mistery chasers. I remember a sudden sandstorm and a bright light, probably the sun rising, that made me swear to my peers that I actually found a random foo fighter easter egg near Area 69. The good old days.
Yeah it was so fun I even played them on mobile (which was a flawed version) for hours everyday back then. With no mods, unable to use cheat codes and some times even crashed unexpectedly, the game was so fun that I forgot all of that disadvantages and roamed around the map in joy.
About the last bit, I gotta agree, I remember lots of wacky funny stuff that happened in gta sa, and it was all possible due to the game's funny physics and comical animations. While as GTA V, even though I completed it not long ago, I barely remember anything of the game, not a quality issue ofc, I just cannot go over gta SA at all

I know the weather part is missing in gta v but it was reintroduced to red dead redemption 2 which is better than ever , with god tier volumetrics and lighting , you can even smell raindrop when the weather goes a cloudy with few particles blowing in the wind that storm is coming ..............i dont think there is any game to this date which has nailed weather effects so good as red dead redemption 2
my favourite thing about gta sa is how they specified your skills of the guns and cars. you can get specific skills for bikes, cars, planes, and specific skills for every single weapon there is. speaking about skills, the skills in gta 5 were done pretty poorly. strength is gathered extremely slowly, you get infinite stamina when you get full (gta sa requires getting 10k or more on burglary for infinite stamina, adds to the challenge), there is no eating meaning no fat meaning you can't lose strength (in gta sa if you have no fat, you will die and will also lose muscle), driving skill is only easy to get with franklin and finally shooting is very easy to get with michael (still easy with the others but michael gets it way faster)
I was really upset when I realized that in gta 5, the police don't send tanks and fighter jets to get you :( And there's that weird scene of you blowing up the city with a military jet and the police following you in a helicopter
idk why they removed fast foods in GTA V. it was a thing in GTA SA, expanded in GTA IV with restaurants and diners also, and you could hang out with friends but it was completely removed in GTA V
because gta 5 already had too many new features and improvements by far compared to gta sa... they cant add every little thing or else the game would've been to much for the hardware at the time gta 5 was released

i really don't like how open world and car racing games of nowadays, stopped using that motion blur to create sense of speed. it was such a clever idea, NFS Shift 2 was the last game that used to technique ridiculously well.
all the 3 points you mentioned are straight up bs gta 5's map is much more lively than sa's, the story is WAY better written and is on par with gta 4's, and the property system is much more advanced (only the game doesn't shove its mechanics right at your face like it does in sa)

SA's had good variety too but not as much as V's. about SA's story... some parts like ryder's betrayal make no sense at all. it's a jumbled mess. I know stuff like that happened mainly because of voice actors quitting, but that shouldn't be an excuse. the map?? it's amazing and well detailed. so many places to explore, but it doesn't shove the content right at your face like SA does. most of it, you're supposed to find out by yourself. SA's map is big, sure, but it's empty as hell and there's almost nothing you can do. just a few minigames like pool, strip clubs, and a lot of boring collectibles (also an issue in gta 5, though they don't play a major role as in SA's). SA is an amazing game too, just inferior to V imo.
I remember i printed a couple sheets of paper with all the cheats for san andreas, and sometimes we just sat there and went through for a couple minutes and turned almost all of them on and me and some buddies took turns playing, and laughed our asses off at all the crazy shit we'd get up to. God them were the days! gta iv and v (even though they were good) didnt even come close to the amount of fun you could have by just passing the controller in san andreas, it was a magical game!

Exactly like me ! GTAV has several good ideas but globally the game is not able to hold me. The only GTA games which can fully hold my interest are SA & IV.
More than 5 years of playing SA MP and God knows how much more just playing the singleplayer. This game is my childhood but quite literally. The fun, the roleplay servers, I felt like life simply couldn't get any better. I can't say a lot about GTA V, it looks ok, but it never hit me in the feels like SA. I guess I'm too old in my twenties.

I assume all of these features will be implemented in GTA 6. I like to think the reason why Rockstar has taken this long is because they revisited the older titles including DLC, stories, and spinoffs. The ability to change your physique by eating too much or buffing up. The friendship system in GTA 4. Optional missions via purchase of property like in Vice City and San Andreas. Maybe they'll include the ability to travel to other cities as well in this new title.
@曼萨德 In San Andreas, properties like Zero's RC shop and the car showroom. Both properties give you optional missions. In GTA V, the missions for the bought properties aren't even fun. It's usually, deliver products and kill robbers. Obviously, we can quick save with the phone now but I still think it would be fun to have missions not connected to the main story such as the assassination missions for Lester. Maybe Rockstar will even add customisation for safe houses.

And I don't like the idea that V is taking place in Los Santos. You get nostalgic, and can easily return to SA. Rockstar have 2 options. Either make a new city, or do a remake of San Andreas, or Vice City. They did really good with Liberty City... for me IV is a successful remake of GTA III :) but GTA V is not a successful remake of SA.

about cars in this 2 series: GTA SA: You could go really fast, and with Nitro you could spice it up. Also, san andreas suspension system is much more detailed than V btw, you really can see how it moves on stairs and on bumpy surfaces. There's that mod garage in San Fierro where you can mod vehicles for well, "races" but you can only go with them in free roam...anyway, those painst, and bumpers were awesome. The best which San Andreas did is, every 15 house on the map, their garages can repair your vehicle! GTA 5: It was a HUGE disappoint for me :,,,,( 1 year ago i was so hyped to download, then when i booted it up, i was surprised how the car speed was decreased :/ that 140 mph (225 km/h) seems pretty slow not just visually, but it feels like slow, it doesnt matter if its a 1m car, it doesnt matter if its a upgraded sport car. GTA 5 Logic is. Just go to the accelaration and thats all :P, pretty ****ed

I still think SA was peak GTA. You could get muscular, fat, learn different martial arts attacks, improve your cardio, do stealth kills, improve your driving skills, bike skills, plane skills, swimming, boats...I was pretty disheartned when I found out GTAIV and onwards started taking those features away instead of adding more

Fun fact that pink car with the headlights 4:38 is supposed to be an RX-7 FD and by the way the creators made the headlight pop up and down automatically depending on the time of day,when it gets dark they POP up !

There's actually a mod in GTA SA where you can have all 3 maps. San Andreas, Liberty City and Vice City. You can go to the airport and fly there. Or just take your own plane and fly across the ocean to the cities.
Best cheat in san andreas was the flying boat cheat because it took a nice big wave and some finesse to get em really airborne, ya had to be able to dive and then quickly pull up from a tall enough jump off a wave. That was fun for no reason i swear. And san andreas also had a decent variety of boats of varying top speed so if you wanted to get the greatest flying boat experience you had to scour the map looking for the fastest boats.
For me, Rockstar will have a BLAST if they do some kind of remake of SA. Better and bigger Los Santos map. Also San Fierro, Las Venturas better and bigger maps. After story of what happened... Kendl is kidnapped and Sweet, Cesar and CJ start to investigate... every city is unlocked, only you unlock missions in these cities, while you play the game. The only thing you have to unlock is better and bigger countryside with good amount of small towns/villages. Who's with me?? :) And after all the missions are over, CJ returns to Liberty City - Just an ending mini movie of how he goes there and what new adventures he gets into.... or maybe... after he finds Kendl, he goes to Liberty City to find and make a revenge of the guy who ordered the kidnapping of Kendl... And next GTA is CJ in Liberty City ;)
Hot take, the motion blur used for that sense of speed in San Andreas is annoying af and looks pretty bad, plus nitro in that game barely gives you any speed. GTA V might not have that effect but the sound design and way cars rapidly drive past you sells that sense of speed, plus makes everything on screen easy to read
i was also really damn afraid of the country side and since i didnt play the story untill i was like 13 (all i did was just go on rampages and drive around) so i never had a reason to go there LOL
One thing that was also better in SA was the money. It was really worth thinking about how to get money as quickly as possible and how to spend it as cleverly as possible. In V I think it was completely unimportant most of the time, and then suddenly unbalanced. For example, if you wanted to buy the golf course you had to invest in stocks; there was practically no other option. Completely boring.

By only finding this vehicle in the woods (i didnt play san andreas a really really long time, so im not sure if it can be found on open roads) might be the rarest car to get. (again i didnt play this game very long so i dont know)

The Glendale can't be repaired because the devs replaced every panel on the car with it's damaged counterpart, and it's a completely new car added to the game known as "glenshit" in the files. It rolls down the hill because the Glendale doesn't spawn at an angle but rather completely upright at a 0⁰ angle meaning that it will gain momentum and roll down the hill. As you can see I can also write multiple sentences about a very well known thing in a game but that doesn't make me look smart.

The lack of cheats in recent GTA's is what hurts me the most. I remember playing San Andreas for hours without doing a single mission, just enjoying the pure amazing fun of all the chaos you could create with all of the cheats.
yeah. GTA IV is a great game, but the only thing that ruins it is when you finish all the missions... and there is no "AEZAKMI" type of cheat.... what fun can I do then? Hitting people with the car is so realistic, but since there is no cheat code for never wanted level, the game is stupid. I really felt that I have nothing to do anymore, when I finished the game and remembered that there is no "never wanted" cheat.
I mean, mods have kind of taken over from cheats. You can do things you couldn't have drempt off with built in cheats.
Whats most frustrating is that, they do give you a immortaility cheat but its for 5 minutes????? like wtf??? why can't it be permanent till i deactivate it?

I really liked the vibe of GTA SA. I used to play open world mobile games like Vegas Crime Simulator, Rope Hero etc. but when I played GTA SA, I was amazed to see how advanced this game was (despite knowing that this game was still around 10-12 years old). I was firstly amazed to see how big its map was, how many cars it had, and the fact that it had accessible planes! I spent eternity trying to get into Los Santos International airport and when I finally got to fly a plane, I immediately got 4 star wanted level during my ride.
All these memories, I think I can never make such memories again with any other game as this one was the first "Computer Game" I played.

My favorite game San Andreas. Gta v is not my favorite. There's just something wrong with it.
These weathers thing are not exactly true. Right, technically GTA SA has 256 weathers, but most of them are used for interior lighting, "EXTRACOLOURS" are used for interiors too, while "underwater" is an underwater ambience, it's not technically a weather, so it's 20 weathers in total, most of them are very similar. As for the creepy ambience, it's not entirely a GTA V issue, it's an "issue" with newer games in general, older technology is creepier than modern, that's why for example, VHS is frequently used in horror movies, instead of 4K modern video. GTA V looks realistic, so less creepy, when SA tried many different tricks to achieve fog or rain, that wouldn't look like shit, has lower rendering distance, less detailed environment etc., so it's more uncanny with more imagining going in our brain. For the same reason, I think that PS2 horrors were the best

A very common name for such mysteries are the two beloved NFS games Most Wanted (2005) and Carbon (2006).
In MW (2005) there was Bridge that could only be seen from certain points on the map. It led out of the city . there were many mysteries surrounding it like it is grown big in size and that it moves from its original position towards the players car and other sort of crap.
In Carbon. there were 8 mystery city textures spread around the entire map and for a long time they were theorized to be
all the previous amp location which have been appeared in previous NFS games. But they were just left over texture from the main map and were left in the game bcz the developers didn"t have time to do the final polishing of the product and were then found by the NFS community. (Carbon was heavily rushed. it was made in just 11 months after MW (2005)).

Be honest, San Andreas was the best. If they genuinely would've worked on definitive edition, brought back the featured which we couldn't use back in the days due to hardware limitations and not messed up, it would've been simply too good😭
i personally think that the reason GTA:SA is more fun is because the dev doesn't need to put as much thoughts and time towards the graphics, and can spend more on other aspects such as details and whatnots, while GTA:V, being a game in a modern era, dev is more urged to make a beautiful graphics including the animations. the same goes to games like Cyberbug 2077.

GTA SA felt like you had the freedom to explore the map and do other things. You can advance the story on your own time. The New GTA makes it feel like you absolutely have to play the story and leave little in the way of exploring the world map or taking on side mission.

Also love how you can gain muscle/fat in SA based on your activity level and diet. Go to the gym and you get buff, run everywhere or swim too much and you lose fat, eat too much and you gain fat. That was great
It's the gym where I practice my finger speed on the bike, it loses the fat faster too when it's on level 10 and plus stamina~
I play GTA sa still today on my mobile, the most lovely thing about this game is that there are so many mods and so many missions that some people even never heard of that they existed in the game.
This game was made for pure fun and the toughest gta series yet, I have still not completed it 100% though.
What I really liked was you can personalize your body anyway you want like muscles and tattoos

My favourites in GTA SA were a) the Jetpack, b) the unholy amount of cheats to mess around with and c) the Gang Wars where you could ''hire'' peds to help you out
If you want the same speed effect just look down while driving or riding. If you want more speed than ever, activate and deactivate franklin's special hability, you just have to let it 1 second, then turn it off and then turn on again for another 2 secconds. Now just activate and deactivate fast while speeding. It will significantly increase the speed even if you're just starting to move or crashed. Then look down as I've said.

In gta San Andreas they added everything they could to still have good framerates on most platforms while keeping variety and realism. In gta 5 they prioritized with extremely realistic graphics and optimizing it.

Yeah it was so fun I even played them on mobile (which was a flawed version) for hours everyday back then. With no mods, unable to use cheat codes and some times even crashed unexpectedly, the game was so fun that I forgot all of that disadvantages and roamed around the map in joy.
You had limitless fun in GTA San Andreas. From vigilante missions to just wasting npcs with a Harvester.
About the last bit, I gotta agree, I remember lots of wacky funny stuff that happened in gta sa, and it was all possible due to the game's funny physics and comical animations.
While as GTA V, even though I completed it not long ago, I barely remember anything of the game, not a quality issue ofc, I just cannot go over gta SA at all

Nah, Rockstar games post-San Andreas and Bully are objectively steps backwards in design. All they have is the fancy technology and the writing.
my favourite thing about gta sa is how they specified your skills of the guns and cars. you can get specific skills for bikes, cars, planes, and specific skills for every single weapon there is.
speaking about skills, the skills in gta 5 were done pretty poorly. strength is gathered extremely slowly, you get infinite stamina when you get full (gta sa requires getting 10k or more on burglary for infinite stamina, adds to the challenge), there is no eating meaning no fat meaning you can't lose strength (in gta sa if you have no fat, you will die and will also lose muscle), driving skill is only easy to get with franklin and finally shooting is very easy to get with michael (still easy with the others but michael gets it way faster)
I was really upset when I realized that in gta 5, the police don't send tanks and fighter jets to get you :(
And there's that weird scene of you blowing up the city with a military jet and the police following you in a helicopter

i really don't like how open world and car racing games of nowadays, stopped using that motion blur to create sense of speed. it was such a clever idea, NFS Shift 2 was the last game that used to technique ridiculously well.
I also felt the world in GTA V is less lively than in GTA SA. The story was also more fleshed out in SA, along with owning property.

I know stuff like that happened mainly because of voice actors quitting, but that shouldn't be an excuse. the map?? it's amazing and well detailed. so many places to explore, but it doesn't shove the content right at your face like SA does. most of it, you're supposed to find out by yourself. SA's map is big, sure, but it's empty as hell and there's almost nothing you can do. just a few minigames like pool, strip clubs, and a lot of boring collectibles (also an issue in gta 5, though they don't play a major role as in SA's). SA is an amazing game too, just inferior to V imo.

I remember i printed a couple sheets of paper with all the cheats for san andreas, and sometimes we just sat there and went through for a couple minutes and turned almost all of them on and me and some buddies took turns playing, and laughed our asses off at all the crazy shit we'd get up to.
God them were the days! gta iv and v (even though they were good) didnt even come close to the amount of fun you could have by just passing the controller in san andreas, it was a magical game!

Exactly like me ! GTAV has several good ideas but globally the game is not able to hold me. The only GTA games which can fully hold my interest are SA & IV.
More than 5 years of playing SA MP and God knows how much more just playing the singleplayer. This game is my childhood but quite literally. The fun, the roleplay servers, I felt like life simply couldn't get any better. I can't say a lot about GTA V, it looks ok, but it never hit me in the feels like SA. I guess I'm too old in my twenties.

I assume all of these features will be implemented in GTA 6. I like to think the reason why Rockstar has taken this long is because they revisited the older titles including DLC, stories, and spinoffs. The ability to change your physique by eating too much or buffing up. The friendship system in GTA 4. Optional missions via purchase of property like in Vice City and San Andreas. Maybe they'll include the ability to travel to other cities as well in this new title.
@曼萨德 In San Andreas, properties like Zero's RC shop and the car showroom. Both properties give you optional missions. In GTA V, the missions for the bought properties aren't even fun. It's usually, deliver products and kill robbers. Obviously, we can quick save with the phone now but I still think it would be fun to have missions not connected to the main story such as the assassination missions for Lester. Maybe Rockstar will even add customisation for safe houses.
GTA6 will be utter woke garbage with the OG Rockstar crew gone, Sam Houser & Leslie are gone! GTA 5 is the last game!

Rockstar have 2 options. Either make a new city, or do a remake of San Andreas, or Vice City. They did really good with Liberty City... for me IV is a successful remake of GTA III :) but GTA V is not a successful remake of SA.
I have a feeling they’ll even borrow elements from other classic games, like scarface the world is yours, where you can smuggle drugs into miami from cuba. Or mafia 2

GTA SA: You could go really fast, and with Nitro you could spice it up. Also, san andreas suspension system is much more detailed than V btw, you really can see how it moves on stairs and on bumpy surfaces. There's that mod garage in San Fierro where you can mod vehicles for well, "races" but you can only go with them in free roam...anyway, those painst, and bumpers were awesome. The best which San Andreas did is, every 15 house on the map, their garages can repair your vehicle!
GTA 5: It was a HUGE disappoint for me :,,,,( 1 year ago i was so hyped to download, then when i booted it up, i was surprised how the car speed was decreased :/ that 140 mph (225 km/h) seems pretty slow not just visually, but it feels like slow, it doesnt matter if its a 1m car, it doesnt matter if its a upgraded sport car. GTA 5 Logic is. Just go to the accelaration and thats all :P, pretty ****ed

Btw. You definitely forgot to mention the radio playlists. Every type of vehicle had it’s own station playing and that added a lot of action at times. Still the best game that i’ve ever played. And not just because of memories.

You could get muscular, fat, learn different martial arts attacks, improve your cardio, do stealth kills, improve your driving skills, bike skills, plane skills, swimming, boats...I was pretty disheartned when I found out GTAIV and onwards started taking those features away instead of adding more

There's actually a mod in GTA SA where you can have all 3 maps. San Andreas, Liberty City and Vice City. You can go to the airport and fly there. Or just take your own plane and fly across the ocean to the cities.

I hated that motion blur in SA. The one you implimented in 5 was even worse since it looks like modern nfs games.
Best cheat in san andreas was the flying boat cheat because it took a nice big wave and some finesse to get em really airborne, ya had to be able to dive and then quickly pull up from a tall enough jump off a wave. That was fun for no reason i swear. And san andreas also had a decent variety of boats of varying top speed so if you wanted to get the greatest flying boat experience you had to scour the map looking for the fastest boats.
For me, Rockstar will have a BLAST if they do some kind of remake of SA. Better and bigger Los Santos map. Also San Fierro, Las Venturas better and bigger maps. After story of what happened... Kendl is kidnapped and Sweet, Cesar and CJ start to investigate... every city is unlocked, only you unlock missions in these cities, while you play the game. The only thing you have to unlock is better and bigger countryside with good amount of small towns/villages. Who's with me?? :) And after all the missions are over, CJ returns to Liberty City - Just an ending mini movie of how he goes there and what new adventures he gets into.... or maybe... after he finds Kendl, he goes to Liberty City to find and make a revenge of the guy who ordered the kidnapping of Kendl... And next GTA is CJ in Liberty City ;)

Hot take, the motion blur used for that sense of speed in San Andreas is annoying af and looks pretty bad, plus nitro in that game barely gives you any speed.
GTA V might not have that effect but the sound design and way cars rapidly drive past you sells that sense of speed, plus makes everything on screen easy to read

One thing that was also better in SA was the money. It was really worth thinking about how to get money as quickly as possible and how to spend it as cleverly as possible.
In V I think it was completely unimportant most of the time, and then suddenly unbalanced. For example, if you wanted to buy the golf course you had to invest in stocks; there was practically no other option. Completely boring.
