You've never been to Perico Island? Without removing some of them, you can't barely move. So, it was wise to lower the density of vegetation when it is a game for playing, not for decoration.
It’s a 2013 game. Of course they removed a lot of trees and vegetations because of game limitations back on older gen consoles. But this is honesty good because then you would crash into a lot of concrete bushes and trees just like on Cayo Perico
The PS3 and 360 versions actually have the same colour tone and lighting as the trailer, for anyone interested. The later versions toned down the lighting and the colour tone was altered

They used most of GTA 4 assets, you can see from GTA V beta version. Thaat's also right for GTA 6, if you watched the leaked footage, you might notice GTA V things from it.
The biggest thing people are missing here is the detail in the scenes and also the scripted scenes. That's why it gives an illusion that the trailer is better than the game we got. It has less to do with the graphics and more to do with the environment.
No, not at all, you see that in terms of graphics and animation management and intelligence of the NPCs everything is better in the trailer that we still don't have today, such as the atmosphere of the lighting effects of smoke, mist and even the animations of the NPCs when you see the 2 girls watching the two guys, the couple holding hands in the mountains and etc. there are only today's graphics that are better due to the more modern and powerful console, so what are you telling us, there is no illusion 😆🤣😂

I don't think they wanted to lie on purpose, most likely they only realised late in development that the current console generation wouldn't be able to handle it, so they had to cut back on some things last minute. It's still a miracle that the XBOX 360/PS3 were able to run this game at all.
They had all the NPC’s in the trailer operating like it’s a cutscene compared to the final game, which makes me wonder about how GTA 6 is gonna look after a while
The expanded and enhanced edition should've included much of the vegetation. Also, all of the cars that were at one point available online in story mode.

Seeing lots of comments about the graphics and shit which obviously will happen but people aren’t mentioning the colour grading of this trailer, the warm San Andreas tones, the more orange aesthetic which was transformed into this more pale less saturated version. It still looks way more colourful than GTA 4 with its metallic cold frosty blues, its gloomy green storms, it’s brown sunsets and frosty night times but the current version of GTA does not have the San Andreas warmth. I hope Vice City retains its pinks, its neon and sky blues and strong clean whites

I saw things I never noticed before on the first trailer GTA 5 its pre-final version was much better sunset, lightning effects etc... Rockstar should have kept them.
Wish they added back all the trees to the current gen of consoles, I get that they removed them because of hardware limitations when the game first came out but sucks they didn’t improve the game when newer generations came out
I always wished to see a real beta gameplay of a grand theft auto game.. No one ever has that you got plenty of betas of other games but never a real grand theft auto beta was leaked or uploaded to an archive.

beta shadows were amazing, in the blue car scene the shadows under the car are insane, also i think that even the cars had more polygons. It would be great to also have that dense vegetation; it is understandable that they had to remove it because of the ps3, but they could have added it again when the ps4 or the ps5 versions came out

I see the main reason why some of the things in the trailer were removed from the game is the power capacity of the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. Maybe the consoles couldn't handle the game stably, so some things had to be removed from the game.

Theres stamina level which has coding n gamefiles that we couldve improved instead of having swimming and running hours n game t max all on each character. We got gta sa body changing n RDR2 but still cant be obese. Dunno why they removed obese people on rdr2 when clearly has n gamefiles. And the guy putting sign had much more details as youre seeing other stuffs as well like physics on items and more details at the mountain part. The entire canyon near bridge got drastically changed.
The 360 and Ps3 They have graphics a little more similar to those in the trailer, although the gameplay on these consoles still looks better than the trailer in textures, resolution and graphics.

The trailer is definitely rigged to look prettier and more eye-catching for the viewer...but we needed something like this for PS5 and modern hardware.
Most of the vegetation got removed purely out of performance necessity on consoles. If GTA 5 was developed as a pure PC title it would have been miles ahead. Nevertheless PC still has the more potential for getting the most out of it - highly detailed, intricate lighting & weather mods such as NaturalVision bring out the best of what the RAGE Engine can offer & some other more subtle yet very interesting mods such as for hidden Props rendering brings so many hidden or disabled world props from base game & online into the SP game 🎉❤

That could cause significant performance issues on the PS3/X360. After GTA 4, I don't think they would want to make the same mistake

That's not correct, color grading/mapping is about the same. It may look different due to your TV color settings

The trailer is definitely rigged to look prettier and more eye-catching for the viewer...but we needed something like this for PS5 and modern hardware.

Most of the vegetation got removed purely out of performance necessity on consoles. If GTA 5 was developed as a pure PC title it would have been miles ahead.
Nevertheless PC still has the more potential for getting the most out of it - highly detailed, intricate lighting & weather mods such as NaturalVision bring out the best of what the RAGE Engine can offer & some other more subtle yet very interesting mods such as for hidden Props rendering brings so many hidden or disabled world props from base game & online into the SP game 🎉❤

You are comparing the ps5 version with next gen patch to the ps3 version trailer and even like that in multiple aera the trailer is better
