  • A Vancouver woman is speaking out about a frightening experience after she was followed closely by a strange man for more than half an hour.
Jamie Coutts filmed much of the encounter and said her stalker didn’t appear phased by the camera at all.
Coutts said in retrospect she should have phoned police, but that in the stress of the moment her priority was getting somewhere safe and staying ahead of her pursuer.
Coutts has since reported the incident to Vancouver police, who say they are investigating.

He’s done this before. You can tell. He was prepared. He was wearing dark clothing, a mask that covered nearly his entire face, and wore clothing that didn’t have labels or identifying, distinctive markings. What’s even more terrifying is that Vancouver, Canada is only a skip away from Oregon or Seattle - which is in the United States. He could be traveling between the two countries (more so, probably before covid) - for work, or maybe he has family in-between the two countries, etc - and targeting women in the United States as well, making him even harder to catch. He was dead-set on this young woman… almost in a trance-like state. He was so fixated on her, and he was literally hunting her like prey. It‘s bone-chilling.

I remember this incident. For anyone wanting to know who this guy is, his name is Mohammed Majidpour. He was stalking women around the area, with other people reporting being followed by him as well. He was caught placed on one year of probation....even though he had 30 charges of assault, etc, from 2016 to the present. Law enforcement really needs to take stuff like this more seriously.

    -Don’t go home
-Go into a public space with a lot of people around
-Don’t be afraid to make a scene, this could be your life on the line
-Try to get as much information on the person as possible
-Sit in a store and call the police without them noticing
Also have this gadget, I don’t know what it’s called but basically you can bring it with you and if you pull this string on it it makes a very loud sound. My mom gave it to me for when we go somewhere.

I FEEL HER! 😭 I used to worked the night shift at my old job since I went to college during the day & I would get off at around 1:30 am. One night I parked my car in the drive way but my foot was still in the break so I was able to see a silhouette move behind my car. After I waited and saw no one I walked inside my house. Minutes later a man was throwing rocks at the window which woke up my Mom up. She opened the window & told him she would call the cops if he didn't leave. Holding a ROPE he said he wouldn't leave until I left because he had been following me all this way from my job site. After a couple minutes of moving the rope creepily through his fingers and demanding I leave with him, he got into a car ... he was the passenger and I was able to see another man was driving. It still terrifies me to think about the "what if" scenario....The fixation and determination in him was pure evil, it looked like things that only happen in movies.

At first we were polite and said excuse us/hello. Then he continued to follow us around the store. Specifically he was following me around the store and kept making these creepy smiles at me. I started to panic and my mom who had enough and went to tell the dude to leave me alone. Mind you, my mom is small Colombian woman and this was full grown man. Even after that he still continued to follow me around. I’ve decided that I would just leave the store and go directly to my dad who was a few blocks at the Ben Franklin historical society. The came out the store and continued to stalk me down on Main Street. Btw this was in broad daylight, in the middle of downtown. I feared he’d try to kidnap or worse so I went into this random corporate building. What was crazy was the guy was standing outside the door so I’d be trapped inside. Finally I told the security guard about what was going. When confronted, the creep had the nerve to say I was his wife or something. Luckily the security guard didn’t believe him and made the creep get on the next bus and leave the area. The whole ordeal lasted about 30 min but to me at that time, felt like decades of torture and fear.

I once had this experience too when I was returning alone from a class and out of blue two guys all in black started following me , I had walked two turns and they still are and that's when it's obvious that they are. They are becoming closer and I walked faster searching for places I could enter when I found a house which is locked from inside (thank God they don't have any Dog or something) and I run right after in their backyard and peek through a small hole , when I saw them entering and searching for me for a while..you never knew how much I felt scared and I continue to have those small prayers and they go eventually.
Only from that on , I realize how most girls who are being followed must have felt.
It's really unfortunate that every girl has to experience at least once in their lifetime.

Ladies, trust your gut instincts. If you feel somebody is following you, it's because that is most probably true. If we are aware of our surroundings, we actually notice immediately if there is some kind of 'danger'. I had those situations twice in my life and wasn't afraid to ask for help. First time, I was walking home at 9pm, it was already dark, but I was only like 700m from my home. Not much ppl on the streets and there's a male coming towards me. Shortly after we crossed, he changed directions to follow me, so I immediately was alarmed. I would have jumped into the next taxi, but there weren't any. So I kept walking in hope's of somebody else coming up the street and luckily a couple came out of the sideways. I immediately walked up to them, told them this guy is following me and I would keep walking with them until he disappeared. Guess what, he changed directions with us again, so he WAS in fact following me. but sometime after that he disappeared, when he was gone, i was like 2km away from home, but finally felt safe to walk a different route home. Second time was at a train station, also quite late in the afternoon and there were strange ppl around, I suddenly felt very unsafe and walked up to a man who was older and looked quite rich and asked him, if I could accompany him while waiting... so: never be afraid or embarrased to talk to strangers to feel safe! You will never see them again anyway =)

If ever you feel like someone is following you, forget about where you were initially going and why you were out. Instead go straight to a busy place with lots of people, just literally walk into a nearest place of employment (any shop, diy store, salon, solicitors, pub, fast food place, restaurant, or do what this woman did and go to a person or group of people), and straight away tell them that you believe someone is following you. It’s very important to tell someone straight away even in a busy place, because the person following you could still follow you, get next to you and hold a weapon threatening to harm you, if you don’t leave with them. If you’re in a residential area, look for people gardening or walking their dogs, or even knock on someones house that looks safe.

I called my mom and she immediately call the police to patrol the area and thank god i had not saw those men ever again..
Thank you all for the kind wishes.
I was probably 13 at that time. The police informed my mom they couldn't find those men while patrolling the area.. it could have been robbery or something worst since those men knew i was there.. so the police told it was safer for me to stay home while they guarding my house until my parents arrived to keep me company..
Didn't go to school that day cause i'm in total shocked.

Sounds like they were scouting your house out for a robbery. They try to find out who’s home and when so they can sneak in without anyone inside.

The scary thing is that she does not know how long he has been stalking her. He may have been stalking her for months but has now decided to let her know about it. He may already know where she lives. He feels safe because he has a mask on and can't be identified. She needs to be very very careful.
