    Never go alone. I had my first encounter when a truck passed me multiple times. He waved at me like he knew me. It was a good thing I was close to home and I was on the opposite side of the street. He parked near a store that was further from me so he could turn in my direction. I pretended to be on my phone and that's when he bolted. Crazy

      @@jaymemeshell1433 I don't know if you've ever run 6 miles in 92° weather but her clothes are completely dry. You would be drenched and you wouldn't be wearing those type of glasses. You'd spend the entire run pushing them up. They're not practical. Maybe she was followd but she definitely wasn't in the middle of a 9 mile run.

    There was a time when most "descent" women wouldn't go anywhere without a male companion, and they were even less likely to go out at night. Now, with women's liberation, more females expose themselves to predators, and they, sadly, make up more of the victims of crime who are sexually assaulted/kidnapped or murdered.

    • @eec589

      Ah, the old "the women were asking for it because they wore a short skirt" excuse.
      Is it that hard for men to simply respect women? Are you that morally bankrupt that keeping your hands and distance to yourself is too complicated for you to do?

      Female empowerment, proceeds to cry for help

    • @sleepyghostgirl
      @sleepyghostgirl 5 месяцев назад +2

      this comment is so ignorant. historically, only wealthy women would have had chaperons, and they weren't always male. a young lady would usually go out accompanied by her mother or another female relative. older women often had paid female companions to travel with. working class women, on the other hand, weren't afforded this level of protection. if they were lucky they could walk to and from work with their friends or coworkers, but otherwise they were usually on their own, especially if they did some kind of manual labor, travelled to markets, peddled wares on the streets, etc. women have been walking around outside by themselves since the beginning of time. "women's liberation" has almost nothing to do with it, but even if it does, it's not women's fault for "exposing themselves" to predators. are you suggesting that a woman shouldn't be able to go running in LITERAL BROAD DAYLIGHT? anyways, blame the predators, not the women. otherwise you're part of the problem.

    • @deanjones2525
      @deanjones2525 5 месяцев назад

      @sleepyghostgirl Commonsense is becoming a scarce commodity. Knowing the potential risk demands an extra level of caution. If a female wants to go jogging alone in broad daylight, wisdom suggests she choose a locale that's populated and not one that's isolated with heavy foliage and with earbuds on. Wisdom dictates that you don't go by yourself to remote locations without a partner, preferably male, so as to give a would-be attacker pause. Being alone, in a myriad of circumstances and situations, is never a good thing for anyone, but this is primarily so for women. Having the right to do something doesn't mean it's often wise.
