Now this is traditional bluegrass in today's world... Mo Pinty Russ Carson and company... Would love to here more from you guys.. this one and old home place are spectacular....
Over Mo’s shoulder, that must be his wife, Emily, holding their kid. She is on fine musician. She broke up her family’s band to marry Mo and support his career. They just had a second kid.
Oh that is just wonderful!! Love the harmony & great voices. Keep it coming! I'm going to keep listening to this over and over. You have something here - the band is wonderful with Mo's voice - perfect combination.
I D.J.'d for thirty years playing Country, Gospel, and Bluegrass..Worked for Mel Tillis and bubba earl. This young man has more talent in that Martin Guitar than most recording artists in this day and time.... Loved his story of Loydd Green. Loydd used to live in my hometown of Mobile, Alabama. Mo, keep striving son.... It's gonna pay off if we can get New York out of Nashville. Ricky Barnes
Awesome Job Guys! Have watched & listened to several of your videos in a row, this morning, & I'm just loving your Rhythm, Timing & Tone!!! There ain't nothin' like a rock-solid Bass & Rhythm Guitar, (or Guitars), working together, & your playing is just that! ROCK SOLID!!! Love your vocals as well, btw! It's obvious that you all have done your homework, & when it comes your both your singing AND playing, you DEFINITELY know how to do it right!! Keep it going, guys!!!
Hey Y'all! I've been playing D35 and Kay Marquis Bass over 50 years and Lester Raymond Flatt must've wrote this song and "Cabin in Carolina" the same day!!! Almost identical chord progressions and melody. Can't remember the times I'd start this one and slip into the other song. Duh!! Ever happen to you guys?
The home sessions were where all the best music happened. The hair was let down and the coffee was hot and the smiles flowed freely! So did the tunes! How sweet it was/is. Thanks!
Man, these guys are good feels , like being at a Festival groove, professional sound, and a really fine Banjoist, to say the least. Would love to see live!
Excellent pro-level musicianship and singing by all. Russ Carson on banjo is amazing. John Meyer also plays great banjo but Russ is on another planet . He even plays with his eyes closed much of the time. Four star performance, better than the original.
what the kind of singing on the chorus is Johnny Meyer doing , it's so amazing to me. It's like a higher octave that he's singing really intensely. Do more artist do that ?
The best music you will ever hear is just like this, a jam where everyone is comfortable and just having fun. Great job !!!
100% agree! Much better than anything in a studio. Much more raw heart.
The Myers, Pitneys and friends are bluegrass magic.
I guess that would make me the "and friends" lol. Thanks for stopping by and watching our jam video!
@@81crowe They have the knack of attracting great fellow musicians, too.
@@81crowe Sorry, I meant no insult to a great banjoest!

That Bluegrass is good.!!
Mo and John good combo.
That banjo solo is by far my favorite one ever, like goddamn
Nothing feels greater than jamming with ya buddies. Awsome.
Nothing sounds better either. No recording can reproduce the sound of a live jam in a small space.
