There is just so much talent in Nashville and Russ always seems to play with the best. IMO, these five are among the top five young Bluegrass players on their instruments.
WOW !! All I can say is WOW!!! I’m sooo glad to see the younger generation carrying on this traditional music that we PROUDLY call Bluegrass!! Not only carrying it on but kicking Ass while doing so!!! Thanks sooo much for posting!! Now u have left me crying give me MORE!!!
Thank you very much for posting all of these videos. I have learned a ton of new songs and guitar licks binge watching these videos for the last week. It is also helping me with harmonies, key, and tempo! I am sure that you are helping tons of intermediate pickers like myself and I can't thank you enough! I will be playing and singing a lot of these tunes next month in the campground for the Wickenburg bluegrass festival! Keep on pickin'!
Would love to have been a fly on the wall for that jam. That’s one killer group of musicians. Rick is one of the most talented singers/pickers out there. Just awesome.
Aside from the incredible skills of every last musician in this group, the way they play off each other and bring the sound together is truly inspiring, and the recording quality does more justice to Bluegrass than most studios.
Well you did again Russ! I just spent the last 45 minutes watching nothing but this video...over and over. BTW...your second break is SICK!!!!! Thanks for sharing. "Keep your picks shiny"
Yeee Haaaa! That was kick ass awesome. Come on...who needs drugs when you can get high on great music and musicians like this! Great stuff Russ I could listen to you guys all day long 😉 👍🎸🎻🎶
It must be cool to be that good, and have that many good friends. An all star jam? A lifetime jam, that never ends for you Russ. Rick Farris always killing it. Nick Dumas, singing it high and Lonesome. I was gonna say you guys were O K, but my keyboard wouldn't allow me to type that at all. Is Rick still building instruments?
True, this girl nails fiddle breaks, At a local Ft Worth Tx jam my banjo playing pal of many years set in with another band which had a 16 year old girl fiddle player. Her first name is Marrisa ? She is awesome like Maddie. Such a disciplined player. If she decides to play professionally WATCH OUT!!! Anybody heard Del McCrourys fiddle player Jason Carter? Ive been playing 45 years. So much young talent nowadays.
I read Del McCroury used Monroe's D18 when he recorded with Bil..Big Mon said 109 different guys were the B G Boys. To my knowledge still plays a Martin D18, My fave Martin is the D28!!!
I could watch this 150 times in a row
I came back for another hit! Maddie is a freekin' power house !
i know ive got close
The world would just not be as good a place to be in without bluegrass music.
dunno it's a good place right now, but the music sure helps.
@@axeman2638 This world is in terrible shape.

This is a super driving rendition! Love the rhythm section (it's bluegrass, I guess it's all rhythm section right?)
Wish I had a group of friends who could pick like that. I do have a buddy who can slay a guitar however.

Got any stickers
russ what banjo you playing?
It's the Prucha Spirit Lightweight!
Haha! I read the title wrong as "I Feel The Groove Movin' In"
What did you use to record the audio and video?
The video was captured on a GoPro Hero 5 & the audio was recorded on a Zoom H6 down on the coffee table.
Thanks! My band is looking to get a similar setup so we can put out content just like this!
You're welcome!
Maddie Denton kills another one and Russ whips out one of his seldom displayed style of break.
Did you even see Faris' break??
How are there 6 dislikes?
Is that special C in there too...
