Just a quick video showing how I Fixed an intermittent overheating issue with a 2013 Ford Focus ST. The owner said that the fan would sometimes not come on causing the car to overheat. It turned out to be a bad fan control module. Unfortunately, Ford only sells this complete with the Radiator Fan Assembly. I also showed how to check the MIDI fuse (Also called Mega Fuse) for the fan's power circuit which are known to crack and break continuity when they get hot or flex, but it checked out ok.
Thanks for watching!

Fan is on its way out if its eating up those modules. Been there done that.
Get a test light! Super cheap! Big culprit is the module itself. There’s also a 2 mega fuse (50amp) near the battery/junction box.
My RS does that, same code, changed everything besides the radiator.
Just got a focus st and also have the same issue p0480. Fan kick on sometimes and the car over heats when idling stopped
Cool car!
Can you post a link to the parts?
I couldn’t find the oem link, but here is the gates aftermarket module amzn.to/4bMhEjn
