One issue i have is that Durant is heavily critized for jumping ship to the Warriors, while you dont see that same energy against LeBron and he did the same thing, but somehow the media feeds us this idea that he's the goat or whatever.

Most GOAT debates bring up the fact that LeBron had to jump ship multiple times to get to multiple championships. It’s unfortunate that so many media figures are under the thumb of LeBron’s management to stifle the point being made.

In addition to that he rehabed from one of the worst injuries you can get. I am not saying he is the toughest guy in the league but given the options he had , saying he's the softest ever is extremely negative and cynical.

I out of 30 teams (that cheated and kept David Robinson from playing to tank) was able to keep a championship contending team together around him for years. 1 out of 30. I don’t blame the KD and even Lebron for leaving teams to win a ship. Media wants it both ways….look at Dame, Barkley, and Ewing those were great players but never won anything on the other hand Lebron is the ultimate winner (jumped ship three times). KD is a champion, plain and simple with two back to back final MVPs (which says a lot). Not everyone can be Michael, Larry, Magic, and Kobe and win ships with the teams that drafted them. Media has to stop talking out of both sides of their mouths, want to judge a players legacy on ships but talk ish when players are making decisions like this to win ships and build upon said legacy.

I'm tired of this narrative about KD. The whole point of life is to take advantage of opportunities. KD saw an opportunity, and did what anyone (who isn't a damn fool) would do. He took it. A, it was a once in a life time salary cap situation. B He gave OKC plenty. Russell Westbrook is a stat stuffer, but his game had some serious holes in it. Holes that to this day, have never been worked on. James Harden got salary dumped. OKC proved that they were not willing to surround Durant with the tools he needed. Had they kept Harden, and traded Westbrook to get someone who could shoot, not turn the ball over, and make a freethrow, then this "Durant is soft" narrative would hold more weight if KD left.
Shaq couldn't win in Orlando. WIth what was the best starting 5 in the entire league. He left to join a super team in LA. Not even counting Kobe, that team had Eddie Jones, Nick Van Exel, Cedric Ceballos. and Elden Campbell. All of those players made an all star team at some point in their career. NOBODY is calling Shaq out for this. Barkley demanded a trade to Phoenix. To play with Tom Chambers, Kevin Johnson, Cedric Ceballos and Dan Majerle. All of them made all star teams. Barkley got traded for a couple of bench players and Jeff Hornacek.
Also, why not make this about Lebron? People heard about that super team that he created in Miami a year and a half before it happened. It wasn't even a: "Was it going to happen?" question but, whether or not they were going to Miami or Chicago. Miami and Chicago both knew it was happening and cleared cap space to be available. The guy made a fucking TV show out of it. Where's that same "soft" narrative when it comes to Lebron?
All of these guys who got drafted onto great teams. Cool. Grats on getting lucky. This man took his destiny into his own hands instead of just letting fate decide his career opportunities. I can't hate a man, in any profession, doing what is natural for all humans to do. Make a better life for yourself. Plus damn man. This happened like 8 years ago. Let it go already. Complaining about this when it's almost 2025 has me saying: "Show us on the doll where Kevin Durant touched you."

The MVP Doc that we remember was getting 29/11/5, the Doc that Barkley was playing with was getting 18/5/3. Still not horrible, but not the MVP numbers we remember him for.
He also only played with BOTH Dr. J and Moses Malone for 2 years.
And by the time he got to Houston HE was the one who was falling off. His rebounds and assists were still good at 11 and 4, but he was only scoring 16 a night. Hakeem and Pippen were both getting old as well and their numbers were down across the board.
And again, he only played with BOTH Hakeem and Scottie for 1 year. That year none of the three even made the AS team.
Every HOF player that Charles played with, except Moses Malone, was at the tail end of their career and had drastically lower stats than in their prime.

While you made valid points, I disagree with certain other points you made.
    1) Durant is not blameless in his failure to win a title since leaving Golden State, but there have been other factors outside of his control that have contributed to that.
    2) His performance in his 2 Finals with the Warriors warranted him being named the Finals MVP both times. Yes, Steph, Klay, Draymond, and the rest of them made things easier for him, but he still had to do his part, which he did and then some. He was creating a lot of his own shots on offense, stepping up on defensen and coming up clutch multiple times.
    3) The Warriors recruited HIM FIRST. If that had not happened, he probably would not have gone there, so they are just responsible for that decision as he is.
    4) I would argue that LeBron's decision to go to Miami, while not the same situation as Durant's, had an influence on Durant's decision to go to the Warriors. I think that he even alluded to this years ago.
    5) How do you know that Durant won't won another title? As the number one option in his current form, he definitely won't; he's not that guy anymore. But as a 6th man or in some other role, he still could.
