I am reminded of the expansion draft for the LV Golden Knights.... their GM was diabolical!!!! ruthless!!!! he forced teams to trade him assets just so he would NOT draft their player.... that draft set them up for one of the quickest Stanley Cup runs I have ever seen.
What does a team like Toronto (DeMar DIED FOR OUR WINS!) have to lose by calling up the Lakers, and just laying it flat.... "We're going to draft Bronny, and we want a stack of draft picks"
I do appreciate @silver10188's comment.... it grounds this more in our real lives.... but when my old man hired me for a summer? I had to stack pallets and drill holes... thats it, nothing else :( it was horrible and we still talk about it as one of the best summers for our relationship
Bronny aint showing people to their seats, he isn't working in the media team, or with the data team.... he is on the basketball team.
I think this isn't such a big deal if James says "dont do it".... and then the lakers hire Bronny to crunch numbers and learn to be a scout/coach/analyst..... no one gives Bronny the "Make-A-Wish Player"..... which is how I will now refer to him :) forever

Now Anthony Edwards is jacking up almost 14 three-point attempts per game. This is absolutely sad 😔. Every team is shooting about 40 three-pointers per game.
When players run down court on a fast break, the players run to the three-point line. The NBA is becoming a joke, and sometimes unwatchable. Even Wembyanna thinks he's a shooting guard🤦🏽‍♂️.
I hate to see this season's NBA AllStar game. I guarantee you they will shoot 150 three-pointers between the 2 teams. To make the AllStar game competitive, they need to say no 3-pointers are allowed. If you shoot a 3-pointer, it will be a -3. Take 3 points away from the team score.
If not, you will see Wemby taking 15 three-pointers, and Dame Lillard, Lamelo Ball, and Luka Doncic shooting 3-pointers from half court.
We should just train the youth how to shoot 3-pointers, because thats all they see on TV. What's the point of training the basic fundamentals🤔? They won't make it to the NBA unless they could shoot 3-pointers

One approach to altering game play dynamics and addressing spacing issues could be to impose a restriction on the number of three-point attempts a team can take in a game. For instance, capping them at 12 to 15 attempts until the last five minutes of the game could be effective. After teams hit that limit, any further three-pointers would count only as two points. Then, the three-point line could be reactivated with five minutes remaining. It would also be intriguing to observe how teams adapt their strategies around three-point shots under these rules. And obviously there definitely needs to be increased attention to defense. Frequently, it seems that players hold back their effort on the defensive end just so they can have more energy on offense.

nice breakdown, but in my opinion (I'm 46 yrs old from Europe) the ratings are down bc of:
    1. Younger generations are not watching games, but highlights.
    2. Load management.
    3. As you've said > vast majority of players and teams play the same way.
    4. "RUclipsrs" who brakdown all games the very day/night and add various debate shows from ESPN and FS1.
Back in the day I was waiting for a game at 1 or 2 AM during the week bc there was no highlights the next day. We HAD TO WATCH the games! and that's the only reason why I still have MJ as GOAT! I watched the games for more than 30 years. Not after games stats or highlights.

You get ads almost every 5 damn minutes, 48min games stretch to be 2h30 long fill with ads. Not fun at all, not surprising that people don't watch the NBA anymore
