@@nightrain1121 not really, it could've been tho. the arena is the best tho together with the ost and story. The boss himself is very telegraphed sadly.

A lot of things improved from Nioh 1 to Nioh 2, that is well known. One of the most overlooked aspects, according to me, is the music. With this DLC they just kinda solidified it that they're really capable of putting out amazing boss tracks. Love that they actually had vocals in this one as well! I think it's the first time they did that? Anyway, love it and loved the DLC. Looking forward to the next IP! Edit: Some people have informed me that more tracks contain vocals, and I've also come to realise that myself, A LOT of tracks in the Nioh OST has vocals haha. There's something unique with these though, perhaps they're more prevelant than in other tracks. Either way, amazing OST!
Agreed, the music in these types of games enhances the sentiment of dread and awe when fighting bosses. (same with Dark souls, Bloodborne etc) This track here (Tate) is absolutely marvelous, love the gypsy eastern europe (even arabic?) type vibe with that female vocalist. When the song kinda restarts on a variant of the chorus somewhere in the 8:00 mark , I tell you those vocals give me goosebumps.
Theres also azai nagamasa's with vocals, but they're sort of quiet but you can hear the female vocals (although its not singing like this ost but yeah)
@@HPKazan Azai Nagamasa's imo is one of the most amazing soundtracks in this game, (there are others too-well i like all of them ngl) but Azai Nagamasa's one has that sense of feel to it

This is just like the Shuten Doji track to me, absolutely mesmerizing. Even if I cursed alot at this boss at times, the fantastic soundtrack kept me trying again and again.
Enjoyable fight itself and that mouth reveal in the cutscene was pretty creepy, not to mention the bitch's apparent bloodlust. I sure as hell enjoyed it, though I still need to get better at her fight since she does still kinda kick my backside.
She's wearing the Taira set. You can get that actually. Not the platform shoes or the giant amrita eboshi hat but she is wearing an obtainable set. She's just too enormous and it doesn't really fit.
They both have a lot of deceivingly fast and slow moves which draw a lot of attention and have good tells I love that it's a memory game and fight at the same time
2nd hardest boss of the DLC for me. Otakemaru's first fight in the DLC was by far the hardest with Nightmare Bringer being the easiest. Pretty much the age old classic of, "stick to his ass"
In my opinion all of the new DLC bosses are far better than the base game bosses. Much more challenging and enjoyable fights with great design and movesets. I am not someone who plays on Way of the Demon or Wise, only Way of the Strong but even there these fights are perfectly balanced. I also liked these short DLC stories a lot and actually cared more about the new characters there, than the ones appearing in the base game.
I can't help but feel like this boss is what Mai Shiranui would look like if she was turned into a demon. Am I crazy for thinking that? Because the boss looks and even has the same idle animation as Mai Shiranui from King of Fighters. (Update: So after fighting her a few times. She definitely does have some moves similar to Mai Shiranui, especially how she darts around mid-air.)
good boss, dodging her attack was so exciting! poor Urabe, his proud ancestor was beaten up so easily by Otakemaru in this mission before reaching her.😢
Two things i learned, gear and build can destroy the way of the samuria bosses in dlc so before the climax of their soundtrack even begin they end up dying from my iai quickdraw and night rain
Doing this DLC first playthrough on Dream of the Wise resulted to a lot of deaths to this boss, but hey she has great music lol *Edit:* Then went and did the Crusher Title for this boss on Dream of the Nioh *..... it took 2 hours worth of deaths/resets*
Yes, I've been meaning to extend it because it was my first time fighting her when I recorded this track and didn't know how to control the fight to get the music right so I'll do that.
I struggled with the first boss of the DLC and died a good few times on dream of the demon. I'm just starting going through wise and its already solid haha. Dreading the DLC
This boss has a pretty sad origin. The song reflects on that sadness while also emphasizing how dangerous she is.
