I keep up with some of the homebrew on Dreamcast and Half Life is now fully playable - talk about a game not meant to be played with a single analog stick. The control scheme isn't great, but it works surprisingly well given what you have to work with. They map the face buttons to WASD and then the stick lets you freelook. Weapon swaps/use are mapped to dpad, with jump on L trigger and firing on R trigger. Basically, it works once you get past using the face buttons to walk and the clunky weapon swapping/use/flashlight situation. Just as an exercise of what's possible, it's pretty neat. I could see someone suffering through it on a livestream and that being an enjoyable thing to watch.

That's crazy James! I wasn't aware of that.
Great show! Is there a link to the jrpg video Hoeg mentioned by any chance?
Thank you! You may be thinking of this? It’s a show run by SG’s Alex Segovia. 👍🏼
