Tie a knot at end of towel ,put knot in between throwing fingers, works nice, plus it’s more realistic when follow thru rather than trying to wrap a towel around ,that is all , gd video👍
I DO THIS! I STRONGLY recommend this! It helps you get loose and i do this by hitting a towel on a ball bucket that is at a distance from me. I love this drill! I've had much arm pain and this helps and causes less stress because it makes your arm loose! I LOVE DOING THIS🔥
My boy really wants to pitch (first year of 12u). We have stepped it off and set him up a target. I would like more drills for brand new pitchers if you have time we will take advice. We have seen the others and are ready to move forward
My 9u son releases his throws too early, probably at about 120 degrees, even during long toss, will this help his release point? If not what are some drills I can try with him
Mechanics Wise. Do you lead with your butt going home first? My Mechanics are out of wack right now and i'm havin trouble throwing strikes. I think it's mostly mental but i could be getting away from proper mechanics.
Should we hear a snap from the towel? For future videos, maybe actual demos of your suggestions. Like placing the tee or person's arm & seeing how the towel hits it. Really liked the graphic of the body alignment.
I have heard that using the towel inadvertantly cause a muscle memory tendency to 'pancake' the ball when throwing. They have that ridiculously priced ROPE TRAINER that is better than the towel drill as you hold an actual baseball when doing it, but who has $70 to piss away on a baseball with a rope attached to it. FYI - I made my own rope trainer for about $5 in materials. Video idea: I once heard a quote that baseball training is not about resources but about being resourceful. Maybe you can do a video on using household items for baseball training.
That’s a great idea to make your own! Also a great idea for a future video, I appreciate that! I agree with you, I always talk about being resourceful and using what you have. Too many players use the lack of equipment as their excuse
How do you feel about girls playing baseball? Just genuinely curious as to what the general consensus with players is regarding it... appreciate the content and keep up the great work man!
Taylor Jackson I coach youth baseball in Colorado. I am seeing more girls playing baseball at the 6-8 year old level (player pitch). It is awesome watching them compete and a majority hold their own against the boys. I strongly encourage it myself.
Basic pitching drill , where did you pitch at ? Not bad at all . I need to see that follow through every time though lol . I like some Of your videos man. Looks like you had knee injury maybe ?
This drill and being coached to stretch and reach is why I ended up tearing my lat in pro ball. Pitching is rotational, not linear. Don’t reach, stay in a good clean plane of rotation and your arm will be much healthier, more efficient, and easier to control. If anyone uses this drill, please focus on pulling down and across, not reaching forward.
How do you think it's ok to talk about a "result" at the end of your delivery w/out providing the athlete with the proper technique to achieve said result? Incorrect and irresponsible instruction.

Was doing by yourself and the ball bucket similar to what you would do if someone was holding their glove out and you had to hit it?
Awesome stuff Justin, you’re putting out some of the best stuff on the internet. Keep up the great work, and thank you😁🤙

+ReversePolarity5 Yes, a snap is ideal or at least a good "whoosh" sound!

+Clifton Silva I try to just listen to my arm and throw until I have a good workout in!
What should stride distance be? Yours looked way short but I'm thinking that wasn't the point.
Please show the lead foot pointing at your target, very important for little leaguers to learn that is how they get there direction!

Could the next one be like how to throw certain pitches?
Nathan MacDiarmid no, throw hard.
