It's really sad when the trailer made this out to be some gritty, stress inducing horror experience, but then in reality is just a game where you walk into corridors and beat aliens with a stick.
I was expecting more body horror and slasher moments to be honest. Getting your arms stomped off was a goofy ass death, compared to in Dead Space where i was impaled, lifted off the ground, and turned into a uniped before being decapitated.
I wouldn't even mind beating aliens up. It's just that enemies are ridiculous hit sponges now and it's not just in Callisto, it's almost everywhere. Takes like almost 10 hits to kill a regular enemy, it's so repetitive, boring and you can't even escape. Why? When will devs realize that is not fun? Well I guess I kinda know the answer, this game would be 3 hours instead of 7 so I assume they had to hide that somehow.
@@Manic_Panic Don’t say that around 13 year old fanboys. They think this game is great because “other modern games are worse” so this is good by comparison.
The reason why condemn worked because in the game, you were still a normal man fighting insane criminals and hobos. but in this game, the character is completely fine with the horrors that he is witnessing.

Dead Space was brilliant back on 360 and PC. You can play it at 60 fps on Series X anyway now . The entire series i think. It might look rough but the framerate is amazing.

Something about the dodging animation looks weird. The character just kind of suddenly moves to the side very unnaturally and fluidly. It kind of reminds me of the way Neo or the Agents moved in the Matrix movies, but at least that made sense given the context.
Yup, it's like a kung fu movie as he limbos sideways under swing after swing in such an obviously choreographed way. It's a good thing none of the inmates were short or they'd just punch you straight in the dick.
I can't believe they called one of them "Story Pack" or whatever. They barely include a story, but if you pay more, you'll actually get one? Not even a name for the thing, implying some sort of new experience, just "Buy this to unlock the plot!"

Indie has AAA beaten to a pulp lately. Check out the demos that just hit the Xbox store last night for ID@Xbox. There are about a dozen new demos. Quite a few enhanced for Series X/S. Keep in mind these can be early demos though so framerate/camera can be rather iffy lol. One is about a skateboarding murderous cat lol. Now who in the AAA space would make that :)
Which is why hype is a toxic and cancerous element. There is no development for grasroots media. Which means, nothing has intrinsically enough time to manifest itself. We don't know if our expectations make sense, given the average consumer is akin to an addict. Waiting for the next hype. You can see how this is a major reason we're dealing with these types of releases. Social media and hype are two cancers preventing grasroots trends and in turn, effectively good things.
I don't think this game was over hyped at all. The problem is we expected quality and smart decisions that glen Schofield beat us over the head with and we didn't get that.

I think they really just crave attention these days. They used to keep footage of their project limited. Now? They want to be glorified by the masses. People with giant ego's wanting to be the next big movie producer. It's tiring.

Things that could've made The Callisto Protocol much better: 1. Jacob should've been a criminal (potential for better character development). 2. The Biophage outbreak should've started much later as a slow burn to build suspense (so that we could've explored a bit of the prison and interacted with some inmates earlier such as Elias and Dani). 3. The combat system should've been more fun, faster, and gave us options such as grabbing enemies, pushing and throwing them (possibility of also having different melee weapons such as machetes or axes instead of just a baton). 4. The two heads monster should've just been one enemy and chased us half the entire game like a stalker as a second villain. 5. Ferris should've been utilized more and no...the idea of him becoming Handsome Squidward or Mr. X is so unoriginal and dumb. 6. More creative death animations 7. Puzzles are in the game. 8. Jacob should've had a sprint animation for running faster. 9. The origins of the virus should've stayed as a mistery till the sequel and there's no "secret organization" or "progress of next human evolution" bullshit. 10. *The game should've been longer and had more bosses.*
1. Could have also had a good redemption arc as part of it. Kind of like Carver in 3 but not locked behind co-op. 6. Is coming but is bundled in a future twenty dollar DLC... 9. Genuinely can't believe they did that lol. Even Dead Space 3 knew not to give away the whole story so the Marker remained frightening.
Yeah the two head would function like a regenerator chase you threw out the game where you would take it out temporarily in cool and creative ways and each time it came back it would mutate so it wouldn't be a repetitive thing and it would even participate in some boss fights and at the end when you fought ferris it would come around consume his body mutate and the real boss fight begins turning your first boss into the final boss would be a first
Dude, you KNOW your games!!! Thank you! I don’t know if it’s just sheer laziness or developers getting rushed or combination of both, but it’s sad. Been looking forward to this game for years just to get irritated by the sluggish movement, like he’s carrying 300lbs of armor at all times💀

Callisto’s combat completely confuses me. I get trying to innovate and do something different, but why in a game involving virus monsters that’ll rip your face off would anyone go for this backwards melee system with moronic up close shooting mixed in? Last I checked I wanted to keep the bio weapon zombie alien virus monster away from me, not go toward it.
Yeah in Dead Space, you DID NOT want necromorphs to get close. Even tiny ones could overpower you and it was always terrifying if one got a hold of you. You certainly didn't go out of your way to fist fight them, the wild flailing and stomping for was when you were screwed.
@@lewispooper3138 That’s fine but personally I would’ve liked it better if this wasn’t a horror game. Or at the very least have it make more sense with the setting like how Condemned did it where the targets are just regular dudes.
Okay, but if you didn't have enough bullets, what else would you do besides melee them? They COULD have made something good with that idea, they just didn't.
They could've made it so you had different attacks and could do special moves with the enemies hell even letting you throw them in front of attacks they could've also made it so you could do counter animations like in dead space where Issac would fuck up the necros after you got done button mashing your way out of their animation

Heh, sounds like a really engrossing game. As for the Dead Space Remake, they made the girlfriend a 60/yo (she's supposed to be 39, but no beautiful women for you to gawk at son) who looks like she hits the bottle way too hard and smokes two packs a day between shots of liquid Methadone. They made the other chick a wide bodied and square faced A cup...bleh, just check out Melonie Mac's video about it. Literally all they needed to do was add higher res textures, speed the combat up a hair, maybe add a few more ways to get around the Akimura with some encounters along the new pathways and call it a wrap. Nope. They _"Updated it for a _*_modern_*_ audience."_ Why does that always mean they just took out attractive women and made others appeal to chick's who like the _"Butch"_ look on other chick's? Really annoying. Can't wait to get saved by a woman at the end as well. That should be great! I mean for a guy to get out on his own is just silly. We obviously need a gay woman of colors help.
Imagine a mechanic where if u blow an enemies head off, he becomes blind, and if u stop moving, then he will hear the sounds coming from other enemies, and attack them.
Dude, that's like what happened in dead space kinda, Decapitating necromorphs mean they swung wildly and could hit other necromorphs even if that was not very common.
It's almost like coming up with good ideas isn't hard. How Schofield looked at this and said "yeah, its ready" is beyond me. I feel like this game was a massive troll and hes more interested in making a CGI movie/tv series than he is a memorable and functionally competent game.
@@DelinquentDemon yeah, and there's a video where he says that Callistos combat was done many months before release. The only time I was a little freaked out is at the start of the game. You're walking through some cells and you hear a whisper calling out your name. Once you get close to a cell with a dead person in it, you hear one final "Jacob!" and it sounds as if someone is right behind you. That was the only effective attempt at 'horror'.
From what I've gathered, it's less like Dead Space, and more like a The Last of Us, complete with cut scenes that murder pacing, bland weapon selection, and basic bitch fungus zombies with the occasional mutant for variety.
It's funny, I liked the first The Last of Us despite it's walking simulator, wannabee movie gameplay style, but that was in spite of it. I never thought any games would COPY that boring style thinking it helps them be the next the last of us. No, you need a good story and great lead characters to be the next last of us, not badly paced and designed gameplay lol.
@@nigeltheoutlaw Personally, I think something that isn't being harped on enough is the setting. Putting the player in a prison without due process or really any time to adjust is sloppy and contrived. They'd have been better off going with a long term inmate and more time exploring how awful Black Iron Prison was pre-outbreak.
A total of 15O ppl from Playstation Malaysia & Playstation Visual Arts worked on the development of THE CALLlST0 PR0T0C0L, which is actually very telling of why this game only works properly on a PS5.
I was looking forward to this game for months and it's a good thing I never pre order. Literally everyone is saying how mediocre it is. Even good ol Shill-Up.
I would not put much faith into the Dead Space remake with all the 'Modern' changes that they made to it that could see in the trailer (race-swapping, making the female characters older/uglier, etc).
I really wanted this one to be good. Like, moreso than Cyberpunk. I'm A FromSoft guy. I've been playing their games for 11 years. My whole channel is centered around them. However, I don't think my interest in them would have ever arisen without games like Dead Space, and survival horror games. Survival horror and Dead Space especially had such crushing atmospheres of hopelessness and well crafted worlds that I've been in love with them since I was 5 years old. Most importantly, they have tension. Knowing you will be punished for your mistakes with a pants shitting scare and getting sent back to your last save really made it special. Dead space had the heaviest and most terrifying atmosphere of any game on the planet. There is nothing more terrifying than being on a derelict spaceship in the middle of galactic fuck off nowhere with methed up genetically modified space demons scurrying around in the vents all around you giving you shellshock. There is no atmosphere like that, anywhere else. I wanted the Callisto protocol to emulate this and give it its own spin. But... Following the trends of modern game development, they shit out a low effort clone of a better game from the last decade. I can't remember who even made this game. But I'm upset with you anyway. This could have been really good. This is why we can't have nice things. I have very low hopes for the Dead Space remake. This was our only chance.
I had a bug where the basic enemies would one shot me even after turning down the difficulty to easy just to finish the game, it got to the point that I just sold all my healing because I couldn’t use it.
Please do a Review of the Dead Space Remake. In a comparison side by side you can obviously see how they had to NERF all the attractive women and make them look ugly or completely average looking.
They may have run out of money, or had publishers on their ass. Everything went into the graphics and trying to make that shitty combat work, so there was nothing left for any other aspect.
It can be summed up in one word. Krafton. They own striking distance and have been forcing them to work insane overtime for MONTHS! To meet their insane deadlines. The game has the skeleton of a fantastic creation, it just needed to be baked a bit longer... sadly krafton was likely threatening to cut funding if they couldn't show a profit (this is striking distances 4th year)... which is fucking stupid because Glenn only had 3.5 years to make a game, make a game studio, and put together a team of publishers.

I played this when it became a free PS+ game late last year just to see how bad it was, and I think they patched the combat so now when you're locked on to one guy the other melee fighters in the combat will just patiently wait their turn instead of attacking you while you do the brain dead dodging. I legitimately don't know which way is worse.
I wish they had borrowed more from Alien: Isolation. The protagonist shouldn't have a superhuman ability to beat the crap out of hundreds of monsters non stop. There is nothing to fear or be concerned about when you know how predictable each encounter is. Guess I prefer using stealth with limited resources with a game that creates tension.
These AAA companies have lost their minds. Tbh the dream is to work for one of these small indie companies, the ones who will hire modders. They aren't afraid of assimilation. These AAA companies have too much ego, pride and red tape to assimilate anything without stealing it.
Yeah even Dead Space should be half the price at launch. It's just a graphical /sound makeover but otherwise scene for scene is the same game. Same with FF7 crisis Core. Same old game with jazzed up graphics but otherwise barely no improvements to gameplay. Just because it was good way back doesn't mean it holds up today. It's not a ground up remake like FF7 but it seems that is the way they are trying to market it to people. I can't see XBox users bothering with it when they won't even say when the FF7 remake will be available for them either lol. You are right AAA space is just terrible now. I am still not even sold on Witcher 3 update after all the hype outside of if you had a uber PC anyway lol

I'm not quite defending the game, but I feel like there's alot to take into consideration. The dev team was already crunching hard for months pre release, the studio had exsisted for over 3.5 years and is owned by krafton (who is known to be a shitty developer anyway) who was bankrolling them while they made the game. The devs had to rush the game towards the end to meet kraftons demands and to show income, Glen Schofield didn't just build the studio from scratch he also had to build their publishing team and get the game made in under 4 years when most modern "good" games take almost 5 years to finish. Does this mean the game isn't bad? No, it doesn't. What it does mean is that the team was able to do what they did in the time they were allotted and it's pretty impressive when you take into account all that is in the game (graphics, the atmosphere, etc) and how good it looks. I fully expect striking distance studios to finish the dlc for this game and then work on their next game. Which I believe will be far better than this game. I don't blame the devs, I blame krafton.
Good comment, but if I was Schofield and my reputation was on the line, I would have delayed release. He had enough time to make all of those "mastering horror" videos and interviews pre-release, so it seemed to me at the time that the team had time to kill and the game was a sure sureshot. Turns out we were wrong, and because of this I will never ever ever pre-order a game as long as I live. I feel betrayed
I honestly enjoyed this game, to the point where I played through it twice. It’s got its flaws for sure, but something about the combat is addicting. Or maybe I’m just a masochist idk.
Dead Space 1 made you feel vulnerable. Isaac genuinely feels like he's struggling to survive. Dead Space 2 was more action-y but still had that vulnerability. Newer "horror" games just turn you into this rambo badass and there's no actual fear involved in the gameplay.
So it's another movie pretending to be a game, failing at both. Why do they keep making this crap? Are the NPCs really consooming this enough for it to make a profit?

the difficulty of the enemies was ridiculous. Hours of same old same enemies, just to give us a midboss on a platform that is actually super hard if you don't react in the right time. I had to watch a youtube video to see how it's done. It was so annoying. And then, the game spammed so many of those midbosses from then on, it got frustrating. The game was annoying from that point on. And the endboss.... oh god, an even more annoying monster.
The auto lock-on for the melee and quickshot takes a lot of the tension out IMO. In Resident Evil and Dead Space games it is entirely up to you to position yourself well and aim precisely. You have to think quickly instead of just starting the same braindead button combo as soon as an enemy is in sight. Even the melee in those games has a fixed range without sliding you towards an enemy.
That's because every "critical" youtuber has been trying to copy AVGN for dedaces and they all are miserable thinking that being overly negative is cool.

Not to mention this game likes to cheat too like those worms that pop out of random crates, and enemies just grabbing you mid combo or they will just hit you while your attack goes through them and my favorite one is sometimes those said gummy worms take almost all of your health at random if you play on the hardest difficulty.

I've been saying this for about 10 years now, but Graphics are ruining the industry. And this game is just about a perfect example of that. Can you really put a blemish on the animations of this? I can't, even the motion capture it top notch, far superior to even the PS5 exclusive titles (where they already focus almost exclusively on that). My point being, do you think that shit is inexpensive? No, quite the contrary really. It's the most expensive part of developing a game. But not unlike real life, say you look at a girl or guy, your first impression of them before they have a chance to open their mouth will ALWAYS be their looks. Same goes for games, so that's where they invest most of the money. Graphics so absurdly POINTLESS (seriously, do we really need realistic foliage shadow ray tracing?). to make people go "holy shit, look how good that game is, I need to play it". And for as long as players keep basing their opinions of new titles on graphics alone, this is the future of the market. Games that look incredible, because let's be honest this dumpster fire does look incredible, but that have nothing else going on. Shitty story, gameplay, everything else. But look at that, you can see the small, almost transparent, hairs on her face. Fuck me, really. (I barely even think Dead Space 1 needs a remake, being honest. That game holds up like fucking rebared concrete.)
finally an unapologetic review there are reviewers that talk very harshly about the game but somehow still end up saying it's fun... this review was awesome, the way you showed off the combat made me smile. this games is a polished turd. i actually couldn't tell how bad the combat was from all these other reviewers until i saw this video.. combat is quite literally the most important aspect of ANY game!

This game is mediocre on purpose so the Deadspace remake is seen as valuable at $70. You will all love the remake because you will compare it to this mediocre clone. You will pay $70 for a 10 year old game with better graphics out of an obvious manipulation.
What I do not, what I fail to understand is why in the hell is there an "auto save" button or function, but when you go over and select it, it does jack. Nothing. No action or the actual function of auto saving or game saving is made. As though it was PURELY there for aesthetic, which honestly it might as well be, if that's not the case. "In horror and the greatest of stories and horror and monsters, irony is ever/never seldom absent." I paraphrased Lovecraft there.
Similar but I actual really liked that game . that game did a lot right not perfect. But good. Best part is you start out weak but end up powerful as shit end game wise
It does have its issues but I'm glad that it was made. We need new IPs, All have we've been getting lately are sequels and remakes. And that gets boring after a while. Is it a perfect game no but it is solid. I hope they make another one. And refined it.
I'm so glad I refused buying any "AAA" game other than Elden Ring, which I bought absolutely blind as I never played a Souls game (and I love it), in the past months. No NfS Unbound, no Battlefield 2042, no Call of Duty, no God of War, no Callisto Protocol. With games quality having drastically decreased over the last years I think it's safe to say either get a download key for a few $/€ or wait for a Black Friday or Christmas sale. Times have changed. I remember GTA IV or Battlefield 3 being released and you had to have these games day one, no discussion needed. No reviews needed. Wish back these days. 😥
I watched your live cast of Callisto and I had to quit. You walked around for minutes. When you finally found an enemy it was frozen and you had to wake it up. What the hell is even that?
What I dont like about the biophage, is there is no structure to it. What was the point for the biophage, its a parasite but it changes the human body to some weird degrees, but what its goal?

Vent crawling simulator.

Things that could've made The Callisto Protocol much better:
6. More creative death animations
All actually really solid ideas. Also it needs better level design and visual design. The artistic direction is extremely generic and uninteresting.

@@DEVILTAZ35 This is not true. The game is getting a fair amount of changes. Its a remake afterall. Not the same game unscaled
What an over hyped game infested with QTEs, a crappy save system, crappy combat system, lousy story & characters, new game plus in DLC package, and messy PC port. Only get it once it's been patched many times over and and just $10-20. Game is overly undeserving of it's $70 price tag.
I find it funny when people say EA is awful about really squeezing your wallet, but this game has paid death animations, and on top of that the ending will be locked behind dlc. Lmao.
Plus i am hoping EA play will allow 10 hrs for Dead Space on Xbox anyway. Otherwise i'll just go back and play the original. If they treated it like Mass Effect and offered the trilogy remade in one pack i would be all for it though.
What a clown. Maybe mention everything else that comes with the season pass. You sound like a CNN headline. 😅
Not to defend the game but the paid death animations is just misinformation from IGN
That’s insane!
That was a rumor and simply false. Make no mistake, EA is still one of the worst.
Damn, was hoping this one would have been decent. Guess it's my fault for having hope for something slightly more than mediocre. Not surprised it unfinished though, that's a feature in and of itself now.
But have YOU played it? You can’t just go off of what people say. 🤔
@@legendaryronin9593 Seeing the combat is enough for me to say pass. Humans have the ability and tools to judge things without getting hands on with it.
@@dehaimyoshanBut that would make your judgement and opinion false with experience to back it
*no experience
@@legendaryronin9593 who gives a fuck about some "false" opinion for a video game? is the alternative to sink seventy dollars on something you're pretty sure you're not gonna like? pretty sure i wouldn't like a firecracker down my throat, but i shouldn't knock it till i try it, eh.
It feels like this game is just missing one extra mechanic for its combat to actually work. Like it REALLY needed something like the stasis module to slow down enemies in these large group encounters that just don't really work with the game's mechanics unless you abuse the spike wall throws.
LOL... Uhhh guns with power and variety like Dead Space maybe?
God why can't they make another alien isolation
Why can't people wait until they see the end product before building a legacy for some corporate product
I'll never know, i only see bitching people
IT IS end product IT IS on the shelves.
Thanks for keeping it real as always.
But YOU didn’t play it 🤨 🐑
He’s not keeping it real, just another RUclipsr jumping on the troll train, experience the game yourself bro, it’s not perfect but is good…
@@alexacosta9569 The enemies die when you put them on a box. A BOX!
Enemy mob: Raawr I am an evil psycho mutant thing and I will rip of your head!
MC: "Just a sec bruv, I am fighting your friend over there right now"
Enemy mob: "Ah no worries luv, I`ll just wait here till you two are done then. Not gonna jump in and overwhelm you with number or anything like that. Fight Club!"
I dont know what they creators were thinking when they adopted this Batman Arkham Asylum style of "1 on 1 fair fight" combat style in a setting like this, but it completely broke the immersion of a station overrun by mutated monstrosities all wanting to tear you limb from limb really badly for me.
Finally someone who is objective about this game, I'm French and a large majority of youtubers and streamers say it's a good game... To be honest, it shocked me xD This game is a pure scam, I have rarely seen a game so bad, I even wonder if all this is not a joke seriously, how can a studio in 2022 do something so bad? Shame on all those so-called testers and youtubers who say it's a good game. Probably the worst game I've played. An empty, repetitive, buggy, boring and childishly easy game. Thank you for this video, competent people are rare today
Play fear the dark unknown , lamentum ,ratuz or world of horror instead
Each of the games have good points and bad . But fear the dark unknown it’s like a spiritual successor to resident evil
Thanks for the video Synthetic Man! I’m looking forward to your Dead Space “remake” video if you decide to do that!
Finally someone who said the last boss is literally Tyrant from Resident Evil.
the difficulty of the enemies was ridiculous. And the endboss.... oh god, an even more annoying monster.
lol imagine what it must have been like playing this after getting it as a Christmas Present .......... wait that was me 😭😥
The auto lock-on for the melee and quickshot takes a lot of the tension out IMO. In Resident Evil and Dead Space games it is entirely up to you to position yourself well and aim precisely. You have to think quickly instead of just starting the same braindead button combo as soon as an enemy is in sight. Even the melee in those games has a fixed range without sliding you towards an enemy.
The audio logs were boring and generic. Remember in Bioshock with the logs filled with charisma
I admire the passion in your rant about lack of enemy types. Got some classic AVGN vibes.
That's because every "critical" youtuber has been trying to copy AVGN for dedaces and they all are miserable thinking that being overly negative is cool.
Man I just bought this game this week. Barely played it and already beat it like wtf man? Why are all these games so damn short now. It barely even explains anything about the plot.
At least Sam Witwer was in it. He's always Starkiller to me!
Not to mention this game likes to cheat too like those worms that pop out of random crates, and enemies just grabbing you mid combo or they will just hit you while your attack goes through them and my favorite one is sometimes those said gummy worms take almost all of your health at random if you play on the hardest difficulty.
I can't wait to see the Honest Game Trailer for this: "From the makers of Dead Space... comes a game that can't measure up to the original Dead Space."
The fact this game has like 1 or 2 boss fights is sad, never have i seen an action game with that little bosses
God of war 1 and God of War 2018 had like 3 bosses each.
space marine only has 2 bosses
@ZoomerStasi the game literally ends with "Kratos will return"
@@wood1066 Yeah but 2018 was widely panned for empty and boring combat that was carried by the story.
@@nigeltheoutlaw even if that was true (which it isn't) that doesn't have anything to do with what the op said. They said they never seen a action game with so few bosses and I just pointed some out and both those games are still highly praised action games. Hell The Last of Us only has one boss and Dead Space 1 only had 2.
Agree that ng+ not at launch is ridiculous tho
The Hunter Laptop protocol sounds like a truly scary game.
How people cannot see this is a copy of Dead Space? The protagonist has a biblical name, he is inside a futuristic place fighting with monsters, he uses kinesis. Has a life bar on his back and the guns shows the bullets in the gun. Come on, people...
This game is a fart in the wind compared to Amnesia The Dark Descent. Im playing it right now and it is amazing.
*PUNCH-0UT SlMULAT0R: Space Zombies Edition*
This game gives me a new appreciation for Dead Space 3... lol
Last time I was this early London was majority white
Call it like it is
This game is basically TLOU in space 💀
Dead Space release date 2008, The Last of Us Release date 2013. So you couldn't be more wrong if you tried. The Last of us Copied Dead Space not the other way around. Naughty Dog basically always copied other games .
@@DEVILTAZ35 last time I checked deadspace was never about sneaking around and using melee combat. So what exactly did TLOU copy from deadspace from a gameplay standpoint? From that BS logic you just said then the TLOU and deadspace copied RE4 and we all know deadspace copied RE4
@@darthmisogyny3828 Eh, I will argue that the setting and tone and atmosphere and presentation was trying to be like Dead Space, alot, just failing. It certainly doesn't look like TLoU, and at least that game had good characters and story, while this game is nowhere close to that.
I think you were way too generous with this review. I hated this game. It's the worst game I played in 2022... probably the worst game I have played in the past five years. This game is an abomination. I have unsubscribed to every RUclipsr who gave this game a good review. Anyone who gave this game a good review is just making click bait and can't be trusted, as far as I am concerned.
My rating for collisto protocol: "dance dance dodge revolution"
That game holds up like fucking rebared concrete.)
finally an unapologetic review
there are reviewers that talk very harshly about the game but somehow still end up saying it's fun...
this review was awesome, the way you showed off the combat made me smile. this games is a polished turd.
i actually couldn't tell how bad the combat was from all these other reviewers until i saw this video.. combat is quite literally the most important aspect of ANY game!
17:19 they ripped this shit off the (admittedly great IMO) Caliban comic which in turn is ripped off of Event Horizon (probably the original le spooky spaceship movie that a lot of modern media copied; Alien is basically a creature feature, it's a different box of frogs)
This game is mediocre on purpose so the Deadspace remake is seen as valuable at $70. You will all love the remake because you will compare it to this mediocre clone. You will pay $70 for a 10 year old game with better graphics out of an obvious manipulation.
Not I.
@@lokengarviel5742 me neither.
@@n1lknarf Great minds think alike.
Enemies looks exactly the same as like Days Gone freakers
Similar but I actual really liked that game . that game did a lot right not perfect. But good. Best part is you start out weak but end up powerful as shit end game wise
@@crazychase98 The game is good, but here I'm just talking about how generic the enemy design is.
Man, i literally said everything you said here, to myself, after playing this game. Keep up the good work.
It does have its issues but I'm glad that it was made. We need new IPs, All have we've been getting lately are sequels and remakes. And that gets boring after a while. Is it a perfect game no but it is solid. I hope they make another one. And refined it.
There are a lot of new IPs for those willing to put their wallet where their mouth is.
And those games came complete and polished.
This generation is a joke.
I love your critiques. You don’t just gush over every new game, which I appreciate. Realistic reviews 👍
Hopefully it does well enough to get a sequel but bad enough to be improved. I like the setting
The combat sucks. The lack of weapons and the ones for choosing are big time dissapointjnt
