I went to Lofoten last month and my only regret is, I didn't stay long enough over there. Just beautiful, maybe in the top 5 of the most beautiful places in the world. Thank you for your video.
Your videos are the most concise and useful travel videos I have seen. Using the info to plan our trip to Norway next year. Thanks so much for the work you do!!
Amazing vids !! From seeing you guys at the camel ride in Cappadocia to following everything since, love watching your channel grow !! Keep showing us how beautiful the world is !
Great video, thanks for sharing, really helps to plan my trip for next May. - Can you please suggest a car rental that won't burn the pocket? - And is it possible to do both south Norway and your itinerary part of northern Norway in one single trip? - Do you suggest southern or northern Norway, if you have to pick only one 😅? Thank you, I will look forward to more itineraries from you ❤
If we’d pick only one then we’d pick northern Norway! Just because the landscapes are so unique and different from anything we’ve seen. We did both the south and north in one trip. We flew from Bergen to Tromso. For a car rental, just check via rentalcars. A rental will never be cheap as it’s Norway. But you’ll be able to compare some prices across the rental companies. We still paid about 1,500€ for a 2 week rental in northern Norway.
Beautiful video, what month did you do this road trip? Am thinking of doing a road trip to North/South Norway in late September 2025 to catch the Northern Lights. Any tips?
We visited at the start of August! As the sun barely set for us, we didn’t see any northern lights! But you might get lucky. September is a good month for visiting
What a brilliant presentation! Thanks for sharing. We are planning a trip there and wondering how long we should allow for the car trip from Reine to Lyngen Alps. Many thanks.
The drive from Reine to the Lyngen Alps is long (about 9 hours) so you'll need a full day for that! Then try to spend at least 2 days in the Lyngen Alps itself
We were there in August! I think in May you may still encounter snow so some of the hikes might be impossible. Other than that, the roads should be fine!
Depends on the ability to step on and over some rocks! Physically it is definitely possible. But there are some rocks along the way especially when getting more to the end of the trail.
For the toll of roads, tunnels and bridges with a rental car, does he give the bill at the end or is it included in the rental? Do you have any idea of the prices? 😬 Thanks very much!!!!😁
It’s definitely not included in the rental! Though you will have a tracker on your dashboard and when you return the car they will tell you how much it all is (and deduct it from your credit card)
Well we actually did! But we had to reverse it (so when we came back from the lofoten we drove through it but didn't have so much time to enjoy it unfortunately)
3:04 Your pronounciation isn't even close to being recognizable for the island. "Kval" means "whale" I believe (it's slithly archaic) and "øy" means "island" and the "en" or "a" suffix (depending on dialect) means "the". So the whale island. And the syallables you should try is "kva-l-øy-a" or "kva-l-øy-en" depending I believe. Technically the "l" is a part of "kval" and not a separate syllable, but I very much doubt that you'll manage to include it in the syllable when trying to pronounce it. 4:45 Æ, Ø and Å are separate letters, not variations of E, O or A. Otherwise your pronounciations aren't too bad, other then "kvaløya" being absolutely butchered.

Enjoyed your video. It was beautiful. Did you go to the town with the shortest name on Lofoten? It's like just an A.
Yes we did! All the towns are cute but so so small!
When did you take the northern Norway trip? Do you recommend it in late June/early Juiy?
We were there at the beginning of August!
Late June / early July would be a good time too! Weather is always unpredictable but at least no snow. The days will be very long!
May I ask what month this trip was taken? Do you think early May would be okay for this Iteniary?
We were there in August! I think in May you may still encounter snow so some of the hikes might be impossible. Other than that, the roads should be fine!
Do you think that someone of 75 years old can do the Blåisvatnet trail?
Depends on the ability to step on and over some rocks! Physically it is definitely possible. But there are some rocks along the way especially when getting more to the end of the trail.

Its a shame you didnt make it to andøya

Is this what you got out of this great video? Also, if your "nickname" is derived from norwegian it is actually spelled LURENDREIER.
Thanks for the feedback!
