00:48 The Henningsvær soccer field is unreal! A football match with such a breathtaking view must be an unforgettable experience. Imagine playing with the sea and mountains surrounding you. I need to add this to my travel bucket list! ⚽🏞
Good to see you back in Norway, one of my favorite places in the world. I think its popularity has zoomed since the internet spread pictures of its amazing scenery. Reine is also my favorite town there. Something about its setting surrounded by the stone mountain and sea is just perfect. The Devil's Gate reminds me of Kjeragbolten and I'm pretty sure I remember you taking the long hike there to stand on it. There's a re-creation of a Viking long house at Borg in the Lofotens and a Viking museum there. You might want to take the Norwegian Coastal Voyage some day. The ships go from Bergen to Kirkenes with lots of stops and you can get off and on anywhere along the way. Near Kirkenes is Nordkapp, the farthest northern point of continental Europe with a globe-like monument and its on a sheer cliff - worth seeing. As always, a thorough video.
Thanks so much John! I agree with you, Norway is one of my favorites as well. I’m really intrigued to do the Norwegian costal voyage. I wonder how much it costs and I really want I explore those far north areas like Nordkapp!
Also people from Southern Europe have started to come to Norway and elsewhere North to escape the heat waves during the summer. It's even gotten its own expression; coolcation.
I hiked Reinebringen like 12 years ago, before there were any steps made. Didn't find the start of the trail so had to a tough time going off-trail, and was absolutely exhausted when reaching the summit. But to get to the top and see that view over Reine, the surrounding mountains and having a rainbow appear over the surroundings due to the shifting weather. It was incredible. I was on the verge of tears.

In Al-Ula, you spend the night at the Habitas Hotel, and go in the morning to Mada’in Saleh and the Kingdom of Dedan and Lihyan. Before sunset, you go to the Old City to eat, shop, and see its fort.
The next day, practice adventure sports activities or hiking in the Sharaan Reserve, and before sunset, go to Al-Harra Mountain.
Before visiting Al-Ula, you can go to Khaybar and see the 7,000-year-old rectangular civilization, which you can only see well by helicopter. There is a camp in the Khaybar volcano for helicopter trips to discover this civilization.
