This is indeed a fantastic EQ and it's the best sounding digital EQ I've heard. Bought it right away. Regarding the video, I love Russ' videos and I'm glad this got the Editors choice cuz it really does deserve it. Just the Earth and Air bands are worth the price of this plugin. That earth band adds deep deep lows without ever getting boomy and the air band adds this expensive sheen without any harshness. Another thing to be noted is the MS or LR only work when you right click on a band and select whether you want it to be a M or S band. Otherwise you're EQing the entire stereo field irrespective of the setting at the bottom.

You forgot to select the mid band at the end by right clicking. but yes, it is actually great. And all those who don't like ilok, just get one there are no issues with it.
Great Eq, very musical and intuitive. I tried to match the same configuration with ProQ2 but both sound very different, I can hear some kind of density and polished sound with Eiosis Air while ProQ2 has a more difuse and coarse image. Of course, these are just my Impresions but maybe someone else feels the same. Thanks Russ!
I think if the GUI's between them were swapped, you'd be describing the ProQ2 as dense and polished, and the Air diffuse and course :)
Felt like Russ was a bit struggling pointing out what really sets this plugin apart in december 2014. M/S ? Integrated Spectrum ? Moveable bands ? Randomisation in Q slopes and gain level ? Yeah right, just add it to the pile behind you on your way out
this eq is the one i am using in january 2016 i like it
You forgot to mention ther 'Air' high shelf ! It does sweet things..... Cheers for the vid though

Russ, I took off my comment because for some reason it got attached to this tutorial.. I was watching the Steve Slate VMR tutorial you made, then commented. Only thought your video could have been more like Steve Slates new video on how to use the VMR. Very sorry, Cheers.
I've heard som trustworty people say it has flutter artefacts... can someone confirm that? But for me it doesnt rally matter since my Ilok went straight into the bin, so the fact that this eq uses Ilok makes me not even wanna try it, Ilok is always a dealbreaker.

Slate offers it for free. Just don't want anything to do with Ilok or a dongle. I will consider Ilok without the dongle though....

+Ryan Meursing Um, is it a principle thing? Because if you can't afford $50-150 you may have bigger problems than it requiring iLok.

Nicholas Morzov My iLok 2 is over space, and I don't have usb port enough anymore. That's the why it sucks ! It should have an alternative way to authorize this plugins !

Mano Giba I see. Well glad you worked it out. I just have a USB hub. Turns 1 port into 5.
Fab Filter Pro Q 3 is hundreds of times better than this monster. It is easier, more convenient, more beautiful, more functional, faster and, most importantly, has dynamic processing. AirEQ is just a piece of crap, I don’t advise spending time on this advertised crap.
