So many choices now, im still learning when to choose pultec,neve,ssl,api,or digital graphic eq. And now this with all new terminology... but I used it last night on some Bells just to nail the exact frequency in the high-end and it seemed to do something that no other EQ could do

Air and Earth have been finding themselves on more and more of my tracks and ALWAYS the mixbuss. very stoked to have this as an even more tweakable stand alone!
Probably a normal, run of the mill Ludwig og maybe a Pearl free floater or someting. Honestly, you can make any snare sound like that, so it's difficult to tell. And the time when EVERYBODY used Ludwig snares all the time is slowly coming to an end, so that makes it a bit more complicated as there is a lot more to choose from. Most people still use them for the most part though when it comes to tracking.

Let’s start using the strengths of Digital to develop new plugins that take advantage of being digital. There r a few developers out here looking forward but most are looking into the past and just redoing the same stuff
Installed this plugin today but its not showing up in logic. I see that its installed by the plugin manager, but its not under the Slate or Eiosis tabs. I updated my ilok, any other ideas?

I have actually thought the exact same thing until Fabrice himself answered my question on the FB group and I'm not really in the position or really have the understanding to explain it but the curve isn't the only thing that is revolutionary but what it does under the hood is what sets it apart from pro q and other digital eqs.
@@bobcozi1209 You certainly can't on most parametric EQs like Q10. I believe Pro Q2 is one of the only other ones that lets you control the shape of the bell. VERY cool way of getting more aggression or smoothness from the EQ. Just to be clear - this EQ has been out for years. It's only its addition in the Slate Everything Bundle that's new today.
it's 20 times pricier too does it come in a $14 / month bundle ? alone with de-esser VMC rack and everything ? stop talking sh*t and appreciate the work this guy has put in. This is a great tool for beginners.

I think it's cool to have such names... I just wont use these terms when collaborating with other producers that don't use AirEQ. "add more fire in 200Hz and more water in 3kHz" they wouldn't understand ofc.
All the knobs are pretty, and ancient history. When will Stevie learn? A Computer and a monitor is not a rack space. Having to deal with separate knobs for everything is for analog outboard gear. Slate plugs are like thinking the best way to build an aeroplane is to make the wings flap. Fabfilter got it right. Why this? fire and water bs? Why is the slate sample song always the same? Ozone has real, smart, AI presets.
Explain indeed. All plugins do one fundamental thing: they manipulate audio. If you like how one does that and the results that it gives, you buy it. If you you don't, you don't. Where are all the scams?

It's more than bandwidth. It's the shape of the curve - then you can control the bandwidth beyond that.
