You might fare better with landscape fabric/weed barrier and larger gravel. The gravel can be bought in large quantities and delivered. Maybe cost it out and see which suits you better.

Thank you for your concern Jean. Accidents happen so quickly you don’t really have time to think. I’m very calm and practical in a crisis. I like the path idea however it’s going to be very costly with wood chips so I may decide to use shingle instead 🥰

Yes Nicolette, it was so good that the car rescue went so smoothly. In my universe everything normally flows so nicely. The car going in the hole I have taken as a sign to be more aware in the moment. You are right, little by little all will get done 😀💕
Hello Suzie, I remember going to Norman's bay, Sussex a couple of years ago. I parked my car and had a long walk. Then started the car and drove off..or so I thought..not a chance, my car wheels were firmly encased in beach pebbles!! After getting over a fit of laughter, I saw some people further up walking along the beach coming to see me. apparently, it happen's on a regualr basis, as the parking there is minimal so people park on the edge of the beach. Luckily, the two men who came to my resuce with long planks of wood over thier shoulders were the most handsome of brothers, chest bare...made this older woman's day..as I went back with wine and beer to say thank you I had a great chat with some super people...so glad you got your car out,was there any damage underneath?

Buen trabajo, con respecto a quitar la pintura vieja con la espatula y remojando con un spray sale. Tienes que ver si la pared es de piedra totalmente o hasta cierta altura, pues si es así es que está construida con distintas capas de arcilla, paja y sedimentos varios....la arcilla,paja y seguramente cal fueron utilizados para cubrir las paredesy dotarlas de estupendo aislamiento térmico y natural que permitia respirar a la casa y hacerla saludable además de que esos materiales cuando fraguan son resistentes y duraderos. Se termina dándoles varias capas de cal. Para las grietas se rellenan de esparto con una mezcla de mortero realizado con cal y arena de rio y arena de triturar la piedra aquí en España se llama "lista", para así permitir la dilatación y contracion de los materiales. Te digo todo esto porque no hace mucho nosotros realizamos la renovación de la casa de mi familia que fue construida por mi tatarabuelo en 1830 con unos muros de 70cm y esa tecnica hoy sigue en pie y con un tejado de 90años (tiene una superficie construida de 850m en dos plantas y bovedas de adobe preciosas. Espero te ayude

I always try to maintain a positive mindset in all situations. It really helps for a better outcome. Even if the car had been damaged I had full cover insurance 🙏💕
What an unfortunate incident with your car! It would have been good to see a video of it being got out of that ditch too. Can you not buy truck loads of wood chips where you are, as that would save you a lot of money instead of buying small bags of wood chips, you'll need an awful lot of them? Olá Suzi finalmente consegui ver tudo que estava em atraso😊, bela ratoeira que estava no estacionamento da festa da Senhora da Azenha...😡e mais supreendido fiquei como não houve ninguém que vos ajuda-se naquela noite... Mas pronto felizmente correu tudo bem e o mais importante como referiste foi ninguém se aleijar😊. Pareces uma arqueóloga a trabalhar na tua cozinha velha, e muito bem já com máscara e óculos (não são os ideais mas servem) 👍,cada martelada, raspadela, descobres como eram construídas as nossas casas antigamente nessa zona, e a história dessa casa ao longo da sua existência cada dono deixou a sua marca e tu estás a deixar a tua com esta remodelação 😊. Como já tinha te dito num video anterior tenta lavar as paredes com alta pressão, porque lavas melhor, mais rápido e usas muito menos água, tens que ter muito cuidado e ver se há eletricidade nessa instalação elétrica devido a um choque elétrico e pelo que vejo é uma instalação muito antiga e eu não vejo fio terra na mesma o que o perigo de elétricussão é muito grande, tem muita atenção.

I would rather take the long slow road enjoying the process. The electricity is disconnected and I am removing all and hopefully installing solar so all is good 😀💕
Will you be able to hide all the electrical wires when you are finished? If you are going to pressure wash inside there be sure the electricity is shut off. I don’t mean to imply that you wouldn’t just a reminder because you could have a huge problem if not. Would be something I would forget to do!! Is there any type of solution that you could put on the stone and then maybe use a wire brush? Just an idea because pressure washing while it is a great cleaner. (I pressure wash all the cement walkways around our house each spring) it sure can be messy as well with bits going everywhere! What about gravel for your path? Would that deter the animals and be cheaper? It looks great! Greetings from Vancouver Canada
Ann, the electric in the old kitchen had been disconnected before I bought the property. They are just old wires that I will be removing so no worry there. I don’t really want to jet wash as I’ve seen first hand the mess it makes. I will only do it as a last resort if it takes too long to clean the stone with a brush and water. Let’s see how it works out 😀💕

If you have a timber mill near you they might give you sawdust for free to cover the cardboard. Others in portugal do that and it works very well
