Me and my brother met a old man fishing for carp in the back waters of the Ohio river with his magic doughball he gave us some to try low and behold an hour after he left we hooked up the biggest carp I have ever seen I would say around around 30 lbs.. We never saw that old man again but I will always thank him for the time me and my brother saw our 404 zebo get smoked!

The sad truth is that most people that fish now a days are just jerks and really there's no need for it. Some people fish just to escape and get away not be bothered or harassed

Agreed 👍🏻 it’s hard to find a good person who fishes. Very far and few between… thanks for sharing Tyler!

No one, nobody, has made a straight talking video about illegal aliens being poachers (and I watch YT fishing vids all day in my sad life). I know why. Because YT will tag it. Too bad, because it is a huge issue. Unfortunately for those of us who are passionate fisherman, I think we need to come to the realization that we just don't have the resources to stop it.

The other kind that you forgot were the ones that go fishing for the trophies and then take them to pay Lakes. I understand that pay lakes have their place in Fishing, but still they should be regulated severely they’re depleting the river. Systems

Paylakers are something else. I wouldn’t even consider them fishermen. I dislike being negative toward people. But they’re awful people. Thanks for sharing Troy!

The bucket fisherman that keeps all the undersized fish is the worst.

I’ve had a guy call the DNR on me because I told him I caught 10 salmon (the catch limit was 5) but I was catching and releasing them unlike literally everyone else. Then people wonder why I have social anxiety and avoid talking to people whenever possible..

The garbage people annoy the hell out of me. How can you call yourself a fisherman if you are a litterer at the same time? If you consider yourself a fisherman you should know that conservation is an integral aspect of fishing.

The worst fisherman is the guy shining all his lights in the water (at night) and/or throwing their cast net where you're fishing

I put Snaggers up there too. If you can't be bothered to use a lure or BAIT to catch a fish, then you're in the wrong sport.

I've seen people take 60 plus crappie per person. The creel is 50 in most places in Kansas. Walleye is also a fish. People take over their limits 😢 . I've turned them in before one time the game warden was close by, and he made them release all the fish and took their boat and equipment. He came and checked me out, too. We got to talking, and I found out that that wasn't their first time doing that. I get along with the Game Wardens in my local waters. Kansas can be strict on poachers. I used to fish my spinning gear with the real on top, lol. It's not a good practice because the rod is made to bend a certain way. However, it probably doesn't matter much about a Walmart setup. I'll let them know that the handle is reversible in a kind way. Some new fishermen don't know that stuff. I will give them other tips as well to help them on the fishing journey. Great video, Randall!

Thanks for sharing my friend! I wish Tennessee had stricter rules or they actually enforced them. Maybe it would help the fish population. It’s always great hearing from you.

I stopped telling people that their reel was upside down many years ago. I told an old guy that and he said he knew he just preferred reeling that way because he was left handed. Didn't know he could switch the handle to the other side LOL

I had to keep two undersized fish in my life because they died when they swallowed the hook too far
One was a forty inch northern that also gave me a huge cut that I still have a scar from. All I had to eat for an entire fishing trip to Canada was boiled northern for a week.
The other was a 17 inch walleye that completely swallowed a bait fish that i was using for catfish with a circle hook that should have hooked it in the edge of its mouth
I threw the fish back after I took the hook out carefully and an hour later it was still floating upside down. That was the only fish I kept last year

  • @jimstark1810

"There is no wrong and there is no right" Yes. It's what you want it to be. Now if you want results...there are more beneficial and less beneficial ways that up your odds of being successful or make the experience smoother or easier. Anyone can run or walk "there is no wrong or right way." but most people don't do it with snowshoes on backwards when there is no snow.

The keep everything you catch and the trash people tend to be the same. They are simply selfish and have no regard for anyone's experience but theirs.

I live on a private lake and fortunately most people practice catch and release but.....I have seen some of those bucket guys ( thankfully they don't have a boat and fish from shore) but how many crappie do you need for a nice meal or two, not 20. I think its a sad day in the US where people need to supplement their food supply by dipping in to our recreational resources. Honestly if they aren't a member of our lake assoc they are trespassing, I just don't want to have to be a cop. I have also see ice fishermen tossing pickerel they caught on the ice and leaving them. I understand that they are difficult to clean with those tiny "Y" bones but learn how to clean them...the bucket guy takes those too so there are ways to eat them. I know I'd rather catch a decent largemouth or a smallie but I enjoy a fight from a chain pickerel, it beats nothing at all, inspite of their damn teeth.
