In this video I make a integral Damascus knife with a Damascus guard. The handle I made out of desert ironwood and a brass pin. The Damascus was a leftover piece from the “Damascus integral Japanese style knife”. The guard is forged out of an explosion Damascus pattern I had laying around in the shop from an old failed project. The steel used was 1095 and 15n20 high carbon steel. I hope you Will enjoy the video. Наука
the most precious leaf I have ever seen👏
What a incredible knife. Very good job!
It is truly incredible to be able to watch some of your past videos and realize how much you have matured as a craftsman! The work you exhibited in this video is absolutely phenomenal. Kudos! keep up the good work
Thanks
Man you did your thing on this one. It looks amazing!
why would anyone give this talented young guy a thumbs down??? crazy people in this world! nice to see a young fellow crafting when so many are lazy and sit and play video games all day! ...this is an absolutely stunning knife!!!!
Truly amazing build! Very nice sir!
Beautiful knife. Love how you use coffee to accentuate the Damascus pattern.
Wow! I love your work! Bravo Master!
Nothing better than Iron wood I love it
That was beautiful. Pretty cool seeing you use tricks that Kyle Royer uses. To say he does amazing work also is an understatement.
Amazing build my man, cheers.
Thats one of the most beautiful knives I've ever seen. Bet it feels good in the hand.
thanks
Wow that is an absolutely amazing knife Mr. Gentil. You are definitely a great bladesmith with a bright future ahead.
Excellent Lord God thanks for the kind words
Great job, beautiful knife!
Thanks
This is beautiful work man, you can tell you really care about making it the best you can. The reason why a good quality knife can easily run you 300$+, major difference between this and the 60$ factory pumped garbage in the outdoor section of Walmart. Thank you for that drill bit tip to avoid deflection.
Beautiful work! God bless!
I have been a life-long fan of being mindful when paying attention to whatever task one is engaged in. I have admired and envied the craftsmanship of Japanese wood-workers and knife makers. You have earned my greatest respect for attention to details and for achieving outstanding results. I am deeply impressed. When I hit the lottery I'm going to chase you down for some custom work! Every component is stunning in design and execution. For the first time in a long time I am awe inspired! Love the shop, the sander and your endurance. I am humbled, a bit jealous, and wish you happiness in pursuit of your passion. The knives I have seen you make are multi-generation treasures that hopefully motivate users to master their knife skills and to respect the bladesmith by honoring the blade. Best wishes for continued success.
One of the best I've seen. 👍
Incredibly great work 👍👍👍👍👍
Stunning work.
Absolutely epic knife!
Beautiful knife you made there
Enjoyed your video and gave it a Thumbs Up
Well, that turned out great in the end.
Ein absolutes Kunstwerk!! 👍👍
Hey, man. Just a little tip that I thought I'd share with you; I get some incredible results with coffee darkening by letting it soak in the strong coffee for 24 hours. After I soak it I take the blade and go straight into boiling water for 15 minutes, without wiping off any of the oxides before hand. I get jet black finishes that are super durable that way. For some reason, at least in my experience, applying a consistent heat makes the black oxide even more durable. So you can use kydex sheaths instead of leather without having to worry about scratching. I hope this information helps! Beautiful knife btw!
Класс, настоящий мастер, золотые руки! Респект!
Speechless!
Nice tip with the drill bit I’ll remember that one ☝️

What a great work ❤️❤️
Awesome.
Clenio Builder thanks 🙏
That is a cool knife
Perfect 👍👍👍
Great job ... 👏👏

thanks
A very beautiful knife! Just a thought - the damascus is also in the metal hidden inside the handle. If a handle is made with a slit in the side, it will also be possible to see this damascus. A transparent handle, cast in epoxy, will be ideal to see the 'hidden damascus.' Just a thought.
Andre Pienaar thanks - yeah that would be possible.
It’s a most beautiful knife
Good job man,like from Romania
Very nice. Kyle Royer does several acid dips and dark coffee like 24hrs. They come out darker and almost look polished. Anyways, Good work.
Wonderfull !
It’s a beauty 😍
Грамотно и профессионально.

Thanks
I Like it
this turned out great, im really sad to see that delam that popped up after the etch though
I'd love to have all those tools... Knife turned out great;)
btw. why do you put leather on your platen before using the trizact belt? does it contribute to a better finish?
You did the excellent work, I like every pattern after etching, very smooth. Good job, bro.
Some boy u like 👍🏼
Does it not hurt having to sell such a masterpiece
👌
What makes the folding of the metal paterns come to life? is it the polishing? or a quemical treatment? and if is the polishing, after wich grain the patterns starts to show up?
Ser super godt ud
tak
17:50 fedt tip, det skal jeg have prøvet.
Snakke du dansk? Hvor er du fra?
👍👍👍👍
Le sigh...
That feeling when guys half your age have more tools than you 😥
Lol.
I know that fealing :)
Super flot! Maa man spoerge? Efter du har boret hul bruger du epoxy for at tang'en passer perfekt, men hvordan undgaar du slipmiddel indeni haandtaget bagefter?
