Another very enjoyable video Danielle 👍 I love the scenery footage and your camera work is great. Shame the fish didn't come out to play but still a great video anyway. 👏
Fishings not all about catching Hinny , its about the freash air , admiring your surroundings and noticing all the wildlife and nature . Well done great video .
Well done Danielle. Is not all about catching you have shown some fantastic scenery covered some hard ground and gave pointers to some amazing marks. Keep th coming tight lines 🎣🎣🐟
Thanks Ian 🙏 Yeh I think the video is a nice example of what to expect if you visit, it really is a lovely place. In the words of Arnie … “I’ll be back” 😆👍🎣🐟
Enjoyed your newest video, it's a tough time to be catching fish off the shore with lures, I haven't caught a bass since November but still keep going, it's therapy, the outdoors and fresh sea air does you a world of good, even if you blank you still go home feeling good, keep your videos coming they are a breath of fresh air.
What a lovely little film and commentary. A lot of hard work for you. It is appreciated. I fished Eyemouth harbour with freshwater gear as a teenager, 50 years ago. Known as LRF today lol. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
Brilliant video Hinny. You're doing the right thing getting out in beautiful nature. I've got good memories of those marks, thoroughly enjoyed watching I fished those rocks quite regularly for years. It can be good sometimes, especially in the summer with some peeler for the codling and wrasse. One word of warning though for anyone new to the place. It can be treacherous on those rocks in the rain . They are super slippery and it can catch you out when youre trying to clamber back up . Tight lines
Thank you, and yeh, the rocks can be very slippy. I try to stay on the rocks which have those tiny winkles on as they tend to grip better if wet. I always take great care and get straight off the rocks if there’s any sign of rain 🙏🎣🐟
It's never wasted time fishing, even if you have a blank, you've had a couple of rough weeks and it was best to get out, I envy you and other folk doing the same although I did my share before I got old and knackered, make the most of it while you can, take care, Norfolk Ray
Never felt so knackered watching a fishing video hahaha. Thoroughly enjoyed it though. Beautiful place and some gorgeous looking marks. Might have to head up that way in a few months. Cheers 😊
Nice little video Danielle, everyone says it’s not about the catching but after putting all that effort in and all those miles walked it would have been nice to see you catch something. Better luck for your next trip. Until then ❤.
Thanks Chris 🙏 it would have been nice to have got one, but it really didn’t take any of the shine off the day, it’ll not be a blank next time I’d go there 👍🎣🐟
You can take the high road and the low road but the fishing is all at the same level Excellent dont worry you not waisting your time keep safe lass and tight lines
Lovely little video the vews is amazing. Iv been finishing over 25 years and I'm still picking up new stuff all the time.keep it up.your a inspiration for us girls .
@@fishinghinny I love it I'd be out 7 days a week if I could. Iv took a few friends (girls) and they call it extreme fishing if I have them climbing over the rocks 🪨 😆. don't no why they don't come back fishing ha ha ha .
Years since ive been up there, method i use over isle of whithorn, small sandeel or large one cut in half ,more or less down the front of you. Found alot of the fish are close to the rock faces, take care
100% for effort and trying, but you were fishing in such a beautiful part of the borders and the weather was kind. Hope you enjoyed your fish and chips a good bite at last. I've always liked Eyemouth and surrounding areas from the end of May until September using a heavy minnow spinner. It can be hectic on the right day with mackeral, codling, coalfish, pollock and wrasse about in canny numbers. Keep up the great videos, stay safe and tight lines hinny.
That's why its called fishing and not catching! Great scenery. My part of the country. I used to fish for flatties - Plaice, flounder and Dab at Musselburgh. Been awhile but I am sure the fish are still there even if the flats are gone.
Thank you, yeh, you can’t win every trip out. I enjoy the outdoors so I was in my element, plus I found a couple new spots for when the fish are there in the warmer months 👍🎣🐟
@@bibcay2622Used to fish, about 45 years ago at the flats. Amazing run of big plaice at that time but they were backfilling the flats. They are filled in now I see. I live in America now near the Chesapeake Bay. I lived in Glasgow then. Those fish must still be around, out in the river estuary I guess.
Fished all these marks ,I ended up fishing a float on a LRF rod in the harbour and I caught 40 coalies on a prawn and a half 😂 great video by the way Tight lines.😊
Where you were fishing in the last part of the video. Many moons ago when I was 16. I won a club comp there. Last 30-45mins I was getting fish below my feet. Coalies. 12 in that time. So rocks were under cut and bingo. Great video and walkabout. 🖒
Great wee video hinny , i hope i can catch up with you in the summer roundabouts there . You can show me where to go at st abbs 😄😄(never ventured that far yet)
Great effort there ,, I fished eyemouth twice last summer having only watched a few videos as reference we got our behinds booted to say the least 👍 I think we covered 7 or 8 miles up and down the golf course to get out to the rock edges really hard work without knowledge of the marks got on a lot better the second time right enough but it's a really cracking place to fish,, cheers 👍🎣
My friends and I, 8 of us, stayed at Gunsgreen House on the quayside for a long weekend fishing a stunning place to stay and give you access to the coast around Eyemouth and St Abbs.
Thanks James 👍 yeh, I did think twice about travelling up with it being so early in the year but went anyways, still enjoyed myself even on the blank- I’ll be back though 👍🎣🐟
Another very enjoyable video Danielle 👍 I love the scenery footage and your camera work is great. Shame the fish didn't come out to play but still a great video anyway. 👏

Good effort Danielle, it doesn't get better than Scottish rock fishing. Catching just a bonus 😀
Your right David, a fantastic day out regardless of being fishless 🙂👍🎣🐟
Love eyemouth, good effort hinny,do that again in a few months and I'm sure you will catch, tight lines all the best 🎣🎣

Thank you, and absolutely, therapy it is. It takes away any worries and puts you into a place where all you think about is the fishing 🙏🎣🐟 bliss
Fair play to you - you're putting in the hard yards.
Sometimes it's enough to be out and blow the cobwebs loose.
Thanks for sharing 😊

Thanks Paul, I bet there was a lot more fish there back then, I like the idea fishing with the light gear, it makes catching so much more fun 👍🎣🐟
Yet another enjoyable video and as you say it's a hard time of year for catching especially I lutes. Keep up the good work 👍
Thanks Thomas 🙏🎣🐟

eyemouth is so inconsistent. There’s a lot of spots and since it’s poor in winter, you have to keep trying different spots around town

Hitting a blank while fishing, story of my life.
Haha yeh, it happens all too often 🤦🏻♀️
I've had more blanks than a domino factory that's short of dots!
Did you get snagged a lot?
Not loads, I only lost a couple of lures on this trip 👍
SUBBED going Torquay 3am for a sea fishing holiday plus clear my mind :}
Thank you 🙏
Fishing holiday, perfect 👌 have a great time 🎣🐟
I've fished eyemouth a lot I would say your about three month's to early for there and a nice flat sea would be better..
Thanks James 👍 yeh, I did think twice about travelling up with it being so early in the year but went anyways, still enjoyed myself even on the blank- I’ll be back though 👍🎣🐟

I’ll have to give prawns a try Jason, don’t think I’ve ever tried before 👍🎣🤩
