I have been really enjoying your videos. I used to fish a long while ago, freshwater spinning and floats, for trout and pike mostly. Just gathering gear and looking at marks for sea fishing near the Toon now, your videos have been great to get an impression of whats about on the coast. Big thanks and tight lines
Well done Hinn, not only are you getting better, you're showing others how it's done ! Yes, wind against tide always produces 'confused' sea conditions. A great day out.
Thanks Ash, thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was feeling about 80% but really needed the headspace. Feeling much better today and back to work tomorrow night 👍🎣🐟 🎤🎸
Always a pleasure to watch your chilled approach to fishing, informative too, plain to see how good it is for you to get out, keep the video coming, hope you have great summer of fishing 🙂
@@fishinghinny I'm 7 months new to fishing ,motorcycles n trackdays n touring on motorcycle has always been my thing, had know idea at 58 year old how therapeutic fishing is,got my 1st bass at South shields pier on Wednesday afternoon, had a grin from ear to ear lol
Ah wow, a bass is my target for this year, well done 👍 Yes, the fishing is extremely good for the mind, it’s been a big help to me since losing Mark. Tight lines 👍🎣🐟
What brilliant session gal, more species than you can shake a stick at, yet another cracking venue, and to top it off a pan sized codling for Tea . You make it look easy 👍🏻
Great session and a nice venue, looks comfortable although not much room between passer byes! Hope you don’t mind me saying I know you northern girls are tough but I always think you’re cold ! Wrap up well girl and glad you’re feeling better! Love the vid’s.🎣🎣👍
Well done Hinny, lots of different species caught on those big tides and nice bit colour in the water. Always a great watch pleased you're on the mend now tight lines
Belting little session Hinney and a dinner to boot 👍 you did well with the location actually been able to fish the tides have been big and powerful the last few days .
Looks a nice little place to fish Danielle, you did really well. Three codling, it would take me five years to catch that many here where I live in Suffolk. You are becoming more confident every trip ❤️🐟
Thanks Chris Yeh that was a great session and a lovely venue to fish from, I think it will be really busy in the warmer months but I might have a trip back there if there’s a really rough sea on 👍🎣🐟
New subscriber to your channel. Love your content. The Northumberland coastline is beautiful just like ours, the North Antrim Coast in Northern Ireland. Only difference is you have some great fishing from the shore. Thanks for sharing. Tight lines! Pete 👍
Ah thank you It was posted out yesterday so I should receive that in the next couple of days. Thank you so much, it is really appreciated, I look forward to using it for a future video 🙏😊
Wow, great session. I have literally just been talking about heading that way in the camper and fishing there at the weekend, you may have just twisted my arm hahaha. Well done. Nice to see you've got the mic sorted too. 👍 😊
Good Evening Dannielle , Another cracking video your getting better with each one you do tbh , i must admit its years since i fished Amble pier & i forgot how easy it is plus i like the mesh to stop little kids falling in , so take care till the next time
Thanks Steve Always learning and improving 😊 It is a great venue, I’ll be taking my brother and his littl’un up there in the coming months as the littl’un wants to fish 👍🎣🐟
Hi hinny nice variety of fish caught well done you must have the Midas touch when it comes to fishing last time I was at Amble had a very poor session tight lines until your next adventure. Take care.
Nice video Hinny, need to get me self somewhere else than Edinburgh, even tho i had a few codling few days ago, looks like the place you where was really nice, even a bench to your self 😅
Thanks Eryk Yeh there was tons of space, a very pleasant venue, if not a tad busy from passers by, even on a Monday. I wouldn’t fancy it there on a weekend though as I’d guess it’ll be busy with both anglers and passers by Tight lines 👍🐟🎣
Thank you Yeh, there is so much choice all year round over here. I do love a trip to the west coast during the warmer weather, the Mull, Isle of Whithorn and further north are all on my radar for this spring and summer 👍🎣🐟
Have you tried Morecambe for the smooth hounds some double come out regularly if you are interested I will let you know when they are in that's were I love I come over to the East when the makys are in and the cod in September time thanks for the reply been watching you for a while you have learnt a lot
i have fished amble pier a good few times over the years but I've only seen small stuff off here I did see a codling of 2lbs caught a while back but well done it's always nice to get out and wet the lines lol
Enjoyed watching. Coming up to Holy Island in a couple of weeks so thinking of giving Cresswell a go. Only experience is fly fishing but going to give spinning lures a go (only have an 8ft rod for spinning tho😊 Subcribed ..look forward to watching
Really enjoyed this video Danielle, and thanks for explaining what a Hinny is !! Watching a few of your videos now, your casting is really good but I think you could improve by learning more about different rigs. This would enable you to both cast further and better target certain species. For example, a pulley rig would cast further yet present the bait the same as your usual single dropper rig. Your friend from Sparta would be a good person to ask, but other than that, watch some of Mark William Sea Angling's early youtube videos on rig building.
Thanks Ian Yeh I do need to make more effort with rig setups. I have been given some different types from a friend which I intend to copy for myself. I have just recently tried using a splashdown and the casting distance was noticeably further, and I think it also helped with bait presentation in the water. Always learning 👍🎣
Just a suggestion give circle hooks a go ,,no deep hooking problems in the scissors of the mouth when I use them, size 1,0 for flatties whiting and small codling,no need to strike just reel in nice n steady ,😊
Yeah we all do.thats really why I gave them a go.pike anglers use them instead of deep hooking with treble hooks.it doesn't matter if you miss a bite as when the fish swims of with the baited hook it snags itself in its scissors.if you do try them I would like to know how you got on .tight lines....😁
Watching your videos it’s a beautiful part of the country, I keep telling myself i need to come up and give it ago but not sure if I have the right tackle and cannot convince the lads to come up with me. I just normally fish the beaches in Yorkshire.I might just give it a go next week
I don't tend to do the rock edges anymore knee's are knackered but fish the tyne a lot with my sons when I was my sons ages like 18 to 20 I used risk life and limb fishing off the likes of tynemouth pier at night but no more but had cod up to 5lbs out the river I few times even as far up as walker and byker
Aye love it used to to be able to fish the end but not for a long time got a caravan on golden sands now at cresswell thinking of fishing there this weekend
With a bit of wind and a running sea you will get conditions like that. yes they are stupid and yes its normally them that get away with it and someone else has to get them out. you are such a force to be reckoned with in the realms of fishing . the more you do the better you get just need them coddies to be about 8lb nice one hinny crack lass be safe
Great video. Quite a chilled sesh, always the best ones imo ✌️ 🎣
Thanks Chris
It’s nice to fish somewhere easy from time to time, I’ll be back there this winter when the sea is too big to fish the rocks and beaches
A nice mixed bag, the squid are running here in Weymouth .... NICE
Thanks David 👍
I should try fishing for squid on the south coast if I get down that way, that would make a good video 👀
