The Word Made Flesh from a Biblical Unitarian Perspective

  • The prologue of the Gospel of John is thought by many to teach that Yeshua literally pre-existed his birth and that he is God made flesh. We contend, however, that John was not being literal, but rather, the prologue is a wonderfully poetic way to declare that Yeshua is the realization of God's plan of salvation.

    Excellent video. Here is a supporting explanation: I say to my neighbor, "I give you my word. I will send my son to cut your grass." When my son goes to cut the grass, my word becomes flesh in my son. My word is an extension of me, just as my hand is me. If I lie with my words, it is not the words that are lying, it is me. My words are with me, and my words are me, since the beginning of when I learned to speak. There is no need to develop some super deep theology over something so simple.

      But why, at the time of Jesus and his preaching, were Jewish leaders calling him blasphemous and condemning him as worthy of death? They all knew he was saying he was God, which is why they rejected him and called him blasphemous. If he was saying he was the son of God, but not God, then they would have accepted him, no?

      Your word does not become your son. That explanation you gave is illogical. Your word is fulfilled because you sent your son and he arrived. Your plan, as prophesied and promised, unfolds when you send your son and when your son arrives. In the case of John 1:14, God promised to raise up a prophet and put His own message (words) in him and God said he would speak all that He commands him to speak. That's in Deuteronomy 18:18. In some sense God's prophesied plan did come to completion in the life of Jesus when he was created in the womb of Mary, but the context of John's entire prologue has nothing to do with the creation of Jesus in the womb of Mary. What the context is all about is the Gospel coming into the world from God through John the Baptist Luke 3:2 and through Jesus. The word of God is the Gospel message placed into Jesus and it comes to dwell in all who hear it and believe it. The Gospel is the light that made Jesus the Light of the World. The Gospel enlightens all who hear it and believe it. The Gospel makes the followers of Jesus "light unto the world." Those are Jesus words by the way! The source of that Light is God. 1 John 1:5 clearly states "God is Light and in Him is no darkness at all." God's word is light, God's spirit is Light. God dwells in light. God is light. God shone His light to the world through placing his words and spirit into Jesus and into all those who believe the Gospel.
      Nowhere in the OT does God ever state that his word would become the flesh of anyone. An alternative translation of John 1:14 is:
      *_And the word came to humanity and dwelt in us...._* Study any Greek Lexicon and Study the Bible and you will see this translation is perfectly acceptable. It fits the OT prophecies and does not conflict with any NT scriptures.

      This video and teacher is telling that the Most High God Jehovah of Israel did spoke to early Christians (Hebrew 1:1) by means of his (Genesis 1:26 generated into same image of Jehovah Divinity ) and like the "prophet-the Christ" Jesus" written on Hebrew 1:1 pre-prophesied by Moses on Deuteronomy 18:18 ?
      Then Jesus is following orders from Jehovah God as the Jew- Hebrew Christians understood the Christ namely the Word as written on Hebrews 1:1 God speak by means of Christ and Revelation 1:1
      Jesus' glory in the flesh (John 1:18) as the godly Word (John 1:1) get MANIFESTED as into the image of an angelic Son in the flesh like angels in the flesh visiting Moses and Lot as God's children not different like Jesus the Christ.

      @@djm7038 She is correct....and since Logos is a masculine noun there is not reason to call "it" a "he" or a "him" in John 1:2-5 and verse 10.
      There are more than 50 translations that do not read "he" or "him" and many of them predate the KJV. The only reason translators use "he" and "him" in John's prologue when referring to the word is to mislead people into believing the word is a person.
      The word of God is not a person. It's NEVER a person in the Bible. Those who translate it that way cause CONFLICT and CONTRADICT the Bible. I know this because I used to believe as you do...until I studied more and prayed long and hard. I was a trinitarian for 43 years. I know all your arguments because I used to defend the trinity like you are trying to do.
      Jesus spoke his Father's words, NOT his own words. Do you deny this? John 7:15; John 14:10;
      John 14:24; John 12:49-50
      ; John 6:63
      The word didn't become flesh. There is an alternate Greek translation that I found which reads: "and the word came to humanity and dwelt IN US...."
      I have written extensively on this and support my translation with Biblical PROOF.
      For one thing....there is NOT one other scripture that supports the traditional translation and interpretation of John 1:14.....not one. Conversely, the Bible supports my translation of the Greek PERFECTLY.
      Jesus never calls himself the word and neither do any of the Apostles.
      The word of God is an attribute and possession of God....not a person.
      Jesus has a God that he calls Father. He said his God is OUR GOD. Do you deny this?
      John 20:17
      Jesus prayed to His Father and called Him the ONLY TRUE GOD. John 17:3
      That should be your starting position. If you approach the Bible believing Jesus is God you impose your views on the texts and deny the truth.
      Both views cannot be correct. Jesus cannot be God to the Trinitarians and not God according to the Bible. This is not a game where you get to pick and choose the view that suits your preconceived belief and ignore the verses that stand in against you.
      Resign yourself from getting the meaning of verses from the Bible itself....and not from traditional churchianity. Then you will begin to see the real God and the real Jesus who revealed his God to mankind.

      C S Study the words : descend, unveil, manifest, come, arrive; they always refer to someone who existed before they came or arrived or descended. In James 1:17 the context is referring to spiritual invisible intangible realities and experiences by God's people such as: endurance, perfect work, wisdom, enduring trial, the wreath of life, God terms forth us as circuit etc. Its not talking about a person descending outwardly. So you are misapplying and misunderstanding James 1:17. The Son did preexist as the form of God.Ph2:6 God made the eons through the Son. Heb1:2 The Son existed before time because He was God's creative original. Rv3:14 His goings forth are from AFORETIME, from days EONIAN. The same truth is stated of the Father in Habukkuk 1:12: Are You not from AFORETIME, O Jehovah. The Son began ling before that prophecy was written about him. Proverbs30:4 clearly shows the Sons Preexistence with the Father. Jn6:62 In 17:3 1Cor8:6 Jn8:58 all clearly teach the Sons Preexistence. God says it and I believe it.

      Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”
      They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?” But the temple he had spoken of was his body.

    What Trinitarians on the other hand do is add to what is written in order to squeeze in a doctrine that is not found anywhere in scripture, they force it in, and in order to do that they not only change scripture meaning but also they have mistranslated the scriptures to fit their own narrative, creating a man made: god the son.

    The reason why so many people are confused about the Bible and often remarked that it has so many contradictions is because that same people (along with their followers) is making the verses more complicated than what they really are, simple. They announced to the world that the Bible is full of mysteries and hidden meanings or teachings, that is why most often have to consult experts (e.g. bible scholars, theologians, professors, etc.) to interpret it for them instead of reading it by heart by themselves with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
    If you believe that the Bible has many hidden meanings or teachings then you've already FAILED, even before you open the Bible. The Bible has no secrets or hidden message that you have to create your own interpretation thus, makings things more complicated than what they are.
    Now, going back to the topic. John's message in John 1:1 has always been simple and straightforward, no hidden meanings whatsoever; "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God". What is so hard to understand about the "Word" in this verse? Well, it will only be complicated if you try to infuse your own interpretation in order to fit your own argument or agenda (whatever that is).
    Remember, John is uneducated and illiterate then why would he play with words in his book just to confuse his readers? They (the apostles) were chosen by Jesus to be His witnesses, NOT cryptographers (that makes coded messages). Remember, it is the Holy Spirit Himself that makes John and the rest of the apostles able to write and speak different languages. It is through the Holy Spirit of Truth that these verses were made possible. Now, if you have a problem with John's message in John 1:1 then go argue with the Holy Spirit since He is the one who actually wrote those verses.
    Now, if you're trying so hard to disprove that Jesus is the "Word" in John 1:1 because you are afraid that your "unitarian" argument will fail then please allow me to go back in the beginning from the Old Testament:
    Isiah 48:12-16 - In here, Jesus (God) is the one talking with reference to the "I am the first and the last" quote of Jesus in the New Testament (Revelation 1:8 and Revelation 1:17-18). Also, God the Father and the Holy Spirit is in here as well. Unitarians brace yourselves! :) - you now have another verse(s) in the Old Testament to disprove.
    NOTE: Use the "WORD-FOR-WORD" Bible (e.g. NASB, NKJV/KJV, etc.) this time and onwards because they are more accurate than the "THOUGHT-TO-THOUGHT" and "PARAPHRASED" type of Bible. That is why most people are confused because they are not using the right translation of the Bible that is closest to the Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek version.
    Peace and Blessings!

      The Jews answered him, saying, for a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man makest thyself God.
      Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are Gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
      Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the son of God?
      Jesus states " the Father and I are one" He's talking about being one in nature not one in will, we know this because the Jews understood it to be one in nature "thou being a man, makest thyself God", notice they didn't say "a God but just God",
      John 5:18 states
      “Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken{loosed} the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God”
      …..Jesus understood the Jews were interpreting it this way. For he states
      John 8:58
      “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am”
      ….Jesus knew this was something every Jew had burned in his mind from infancy
      Exodus 3:14 “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM".
      The "I am formula (Gk egō eimi)" harks back to God's only name, "Yahweh" ("the lord") - meaning "He who always was, is, and will be."
      So to hear someone else use it and apply to himself BLASPHEMY ! Absolutely.

    And example of the Greek (2316) “God” in the nomitive case, and without the article, as being capitalized: Mark 12:27 “He is not (the) God of the dead, but of the living: ye do greatly err.” (hint!) Interlinear: “ not He is God of [the] dead but”
    The article “the” is not there preceding the noun. And yet the context demands the capitalization of “God.” And so it does in JN 1:1C
    Using this example, Jn 1:1C could just as legally, by biblical Greek example, be translated: “The Logos was the God.”

      There is certainly no Trinity in Isaiah 48:15, 16. Note the punctuation in the NIV: “I [the LORD God], even I have spoken, yes, I have called him [the Messiah, God’s agent]. I [the LORD] will bring him [the Messiah] and he [the Messiah] will succeed in his mission. Come near me [the LORD God] and listen to this. ‘From the first announcement I have not spoken in secret; at the time it happens I am there.'”
      Note carefully that the NIV closes the quotation marks at that point. A new speaker then says: “And now the Sovereign LORD has sent me with his Spirit.” The Messiah is here represented as being sent by the LORD (God). The vast majority of Trinitarian scholars would never advance this passage as any evidence for the Trinity.

      @@EmJay2022 The NIV Bible is not the inerrant Word of God because of the faulty translation as well as omission of key words and verses. The KJV is the standard and it says what it means. If we have or are a soul, then there is a part of us that is non-material. This would equate to spiritual. But ancient people seemed to consider God as totally separate, with the need of an intercessor and human sacrifice to God. I disagree about "in the beginning." I think it means in the beginning of Jesus' ministry. The apostles say so many times in the New Testament.
    Why would John talk about creation and then jump out of context to the present and start talking about John the Baptist and Jesus?
    Look at the other "in the beginnings" in the New Testament. They are taking about Jesus'ministry, as in "what we saw from the beginning"...
    This belief that it points to Genesis is what leads Trinitarians to think Jesus was the Creator.

      @@neofoo The word godhead is again mentioned in Romans 1:20, and in Romans 1:7 Paul clearly and unequivocally identifies WHO “God” is: The Father: To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
      Who is the subject referred to by the word “him” in Romans 1:20? Let's take a look at Romans 1:16-20: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
      Clearly the word “him” in verse 29 is referring to the same one person who is being referred to in the words “the power of” and “the wrath of” and “that which may be know of” and “his eternal power.” And WHO is that? Yes: God the Father alone. There are no words “they” and “them."
      Let's take a look at Colossians 2:9 "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." In this verse we can clearly see that the word “him” is referring to Jesus the messiah! In verses 10-15 we can see: “And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
      Clearly the operator of all of these great feats is God the Father! He is the head of all principality and power. the faith of the operation of God - God the Father did it. God the Father did the raising of the really dead human man Jesus the Messiah. God cannot die. God the Father quickened Jesus the man, the messiah, the son of God, and God the Father forgives trespasses, and blots out the handwriting of ordinances against us and nailed them to Jesus' cross. God the Father spoiled Principalities and powers and God the Father made a show of them openly and he triumphed over them.
      We already know from the other two instances that the Godhead is the Father alone. In Colossians 2:9 Trinitarians and Godheaders cannot claim that Godhead means anything but the Father because the entire Gospel of John talks about how God the Father dwelled in Jesus. On earth, Jesus represents God's authority. But do not lose sight that it is God the Father's authority that Jesus wields and represents. Pay very close attention: God the Father who dwells in Jesus, is alone, the Godhead.
      Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
      Acts 2:21-22 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. 22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
      1 Corinthians 8:6 (Is one amoung many verses that shows us the true identity (WHO) “God” is:) “But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.” (It says he is one person - the Father!)
      1 Corinthians 11:3 Once again proves that the Father alone is the Godhead: “But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.”
      2 Peter 1:17 Clearly shows that God is the Father alone: “For (Jesus) he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” All the verses consistently teach that Jesus is the Son of God the Father, and is NOT “God the Son.”
      Matthew 13:43 “Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.” (Whose kingdom is it? Yes: the Father - God's kingdom.)
      (Over and over again we see that only the Father is God:
      1 Timothy 1:1-2; 1:17 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope; 2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord. 17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
      1 Timothy 6:13-16 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; 14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: 15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; 16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen. (Only God the Father alone (Yahweh) has immortality of himself. The Father shows in his times. All others who have immortality have it because he gives it to them. Without Yahweh, all creation would not exist.)
      In Romans 1:20, one person is being addressed: the Father. “Him.” “His.” So we again we see that “Godhead” is referring only to the Father, who alone, is God. That's why the word is singular. Because there is only one person who is God. Otherwise, we'd put on “S” on the end, if Trinitarianism were true.
      It's written in plain English. Even children can see it. But adults, deceived with the doctrines of the moderrn Pharisees, cannot. It's right before their eyes yet seeing, they cannot see.

God is clearly differentiated from Jesus. “The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Servant Jesus, whom you handed over and denied before the face of Pilate, when he had decided to release him.” Therefore Jesus isn’t claiming to be God. In the context of John he is most likely claiming to be the light of the world before Abraham came to be.

And Jeshua was the word made flesh by the sinless obedience to God's word, as he showed us by example, the true nature of God, in order for us to follow. Jeshua was the true sinless uncorrupted word of God made flesh example. Whereas the pharisees like so many, twisted God's word to the point where it became a religion of man made traditions, where the original meaning of God's word became lost, and the yoke or burden of the man made traditions became heavy or unbearable.

    Thank you for your presentation. It was given in a manner that it does not attack or demean another person's beliefs, but rather asks that we look at John's prologue through a different lens. Sometimes the greatest challenge in arriving at a better understanding of a biblical text, is the need to set aside some of our pre-existing assumptions and approach it with an open mind. There is a definite logic in how you have unpacked and then explained John 1.1-3, which in reading the surrounding verses and the wider context, does offer supporting evidence for your interpretation.
    Personally, the explanation you provide gives the reader a better direct understanding of God, his plan and the role of his promised messiah. It removes the need for the 'mystery' element of the trinitarian God, which theologians and clergy confess can never be fully explained. The position you take is more optimistic - it suggests that it is indeed possible to conceive and understand God with our human mind.

So Jesus and Adam are the only two people to have ever been made by the hand of God. What specifically is it about Christ nature that caused him to obey God given that he is equal to Adam in that he was directly created by God?

    Since, from John 8:17-18 'the testimony of two men is true ' shows the Father, God in heaven John 8:54, is a man, having his own material body which is a soul and has a rhuach spirit within him, then even the Word who was God with God shows that the Word also had a material tangible body which became a soul and has a rhuach spirit within him.

    Jesus was a man who is also the messiah. The messiah is A human who is also prophesied to be God. John baptized Jesus and said he saw the Spirit of God enter Jesus. Jesus claims the father left him at Crucifixion. Jesus said he will be with the Father. And finally, the Gospels claim Jesus is currently with the Father yet Jesus doesn't know when he'll return.
    The take away here is:
    Jesus is not God but was only God temporarily (as God was in him).

    It always amazes me how often people do not heed God's own testimony as to how his word was made flesh. In Deut. 18.18-19 God gives a clear promise as to how this would come about. Throughout the entirety of scripture the terms God and Father are synonymous. The Word, like the Spirit, is always the Father's (God's) Word. Jesus denies being the actual or pre-existing Word by regularly stating the words that he spoke were not his own but the Father's. He spake all that his Father 'commanded' him to.
    Deut. 18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
    19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

    The problem with the Unitarian is that they cannot account for the old testaments use of the plural modifiers associated with elohim as it relates to the One God. The singular modifiers show that their is one God and the plural modifiers associated with this one God can attest that this one God is multi-personal in nature. We have to remember this Word of the Lord his Voice did literally walk in the Garden and was literally met and directly worshipped and spoke words of his very own. Thus, the Memra/Logos of God is much more than poetry. It was very real, interactive and very personal just as the logos spoken of by John the Apostle in John 1:1. After all, Jesus Christ himself said he came down from heaven not to do his own will (John 6:38) and spoke about his ascension back to where he was before (John 6:62). Thus, Jesus ascension was literal just as his coming down for he the the Lord from heaven (1 Cor 15:47); the very Lord who created all things (1 Cor 8:6).

      I'm guessing you have not run that understanding of 'elohim' past a Jew who actually speaks and writes Hebrew?
      He, or she, would explain to youin depth, the ENGLISH based misunderstanding you have about the plural use of 'elohim' in the HEBREW language.
      There's very little similarity between English grammar and Hebrew.
      grammar.
      Which would also explain why for thousands of years the Jews had no understanding of Yehovah being a plurality... Then and Now.

Can you explain the plurals: nouns, verbs, adjectives, pronouns and participles that are used in conjunction with Elohim when used of God alone. Short Version
      In ENGLISH grammar we add 'er' and est' to enlarge or magnify a word.
      Bright, brighter, brightest
      Dark darker darkest.
      Cold colder coldest... Etc.
      HEBREW grammar is VERY different!
      To magnify word they actually multiply it ... to suggest MORE of what it normally posseses ... MORE of its Qualities.
      And unlike English grammar they only have one stage of enlargement/ magnification.. no middle stage!
      The best way I can illustrate it in English would be this way.
      Bright, bright¹⁰
      Dark, dark¹⁰
      Cold, cold¹⁰....
      'god', god¹⁰... get it?
      FYI
      In ancient Hebrew and Greek grammar... there is NO CAPITAL letters.. there are no Exclamation Marks (?!"'.,)
      ALL of that is ADDED.. at the discretion of the Translators!

    To all the trinitarians who rage at this;
    My favourite verses are found in Proverbs 8, where we discover a lady present as well at the creation, referred to in commentaries as "Lady wisdom." She states that she was 'there at the beginning with God' and helped make all the creation. There it is in your Bible my friend, its in them all. What?????? do we now have a quartet instead of a trio? Should we put a capital letter W on wisdom in this chapter? This could be Jesus's eternal mother playing with eternally begotten Jesus in the creation toy box in heaven way back when???? mmmm... Doesnt that sound delightfully sentimental, something which is essential to trinity theology..... oh hang on, it would be quadrature theology if Prov8 had a capital W. (Translator thinking, 'should I put a capital W in prov8?')
    Ahhh! I see. Its the figure of speech "Personification," and as such in Proverbs portrays God's wisdom being used in the creation. Why its almost word for word what Apostle John says in Jn1.1 etc about Gods spoken word, God doing the creating by speaking the word, almost as if Apostle John has used Prov8 as a template, you know, so we who know our OT will "get it." Get it?

    The word became flesh. This is a basic example of speaking things into existence. We spoke about a messiah and eventually it manifested into reality. Scripture also says. Where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them. This is another classic example of scripture talking about manifesting the things spoken about. This is why some teach that you should never speak a bad thing about yourself or a situation. It's so these things are not spoken into existence. Jesus and the whole kingdom of God is the byproduct of this basic "new age teaching."

    Jesus is not the "word" (Greek: logos) in John's prologue because that would make God a begotten being. You cannot take John 1:14 as meaning the logos of YHWH became Jesus because that causes conflict with other scriptures. The meaning is God gave Jesus his divine plan and Jesus accepted it, believed it, and preached it in perfect obedience. In that sense the word became life in Jesus, as it does in a similar way with all believers.
    The "word" in John 1:1 is the Gospel, the word of Life, the logos of YAH, which is his divine plan.
    "In the beginning" is the Greek word "archee' which is a common expression used by the disciples and apostles throughout the NT. It refers to the beginning of Jesus ministry.
    To better understand John's prologue to his Gospel, read 1 John 1:
    _That which was from the beginning*, which we have *heard*, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched--this we proclaim concerning the *word of life (logos). The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ._
    1 John 1:1-3 NIV
    For more on the meaning of "in the beginning" check these verses:
    This beginning (archeé) of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.*
    JOHN 2:11 NIV
    “For Jesus knew from the beginning (archeé). JOHN 6:64 KJV
    (this is a reference by Jesus to the beginning of his ministry)
    "And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning." (archeé) JOHN 15:27 KJV
    "These things they will do because they have not known the Father or Me. But these things I have spoken to you, so that when their hour comes, you may remember that I told you of them. These things I did not say to you at the beginning (archeé), because I was with you." JOHN 16:3-4 NIV
    "As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning (archeé) remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father." 1 JOHN 2:24 NIV
    "For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning (archeé), that we should love one another." 1 JOHN 3:11 KJV
    "And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning (archeé) . I ask that we love one another. And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard *from the beginning*, his command is that you walk in love." 2 JOHN 1:5-6 NIV
    The beginning (archeé) of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; As it is written in the prophets, “Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. The voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.’” And there went out unto him all the land of Judea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.
    MARK 1:1-5 NIV
    “There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.”
    John 1:6 (NOTE: John 1:1-5 is the antecedent to John 1:6). There should be no doubt that John the baptist prepared the way for Jesus ministry.
    "Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning (archeé) were eyewitnesses and servants of the word (logos), it seemed fitting for me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning, (archeé) to write it out for you in consecutive order, most excellent Theophilus; so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught." LUKE 1:1 NASB
    "You know the message (logos) God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace THROUGH Jesus Christ , who is Lord (Adoni or Kurios) of all. You know what has happened throughout the province of Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached--how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power,* and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him."*
    ACTS 10:36-39 NIV
    My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first (archeés), among mine own nation at Jerusalem, is known by all the Jews.
    ACTS 26:4 KJV
    NOTE: The Word of God came to John the Baptist (Luke 3:2) and he proclaimed the Good News.
    "But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:8-9 NIV
    Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of GOD.
    Romans 10:17
    The Gospel message is the power of God that leads men to salvation. Romans 1:16
    *_Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17
    For the word (logos) of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of GOD. 1 Corinthians 1:18
    For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. Romans 1:16.
    There is no need to read between the lines. Jesus is not the logos of John 1:1-5. YHWH's logos is his POSSESSION, not a person. Jesus declared no less than three times in John's gospel that the words he spoke belonged to his Father. That means they are a possession and attribute of his Father.
    *_these words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me._*
    John 14:24.
    The correct rendering of John's prologue is this:
    John 1:1-2
    From the beginning of Jesus ministry he was given a divine plan from his Father to preach to the world. This divine plan existed with YHWH in eternity and was always with Him as it was part of Him. The divine plan Jesus preached enlightened those who heard and believed in it, but to those living in darkness that refused to hear it and believe, they remained in darkness and could not comprehend it.
    John 1:3
    JOHN 1:3
    "All things were made by it (the logos of YAHWEH); and without it was not any thing made that was made."
    "ALL" is not used in the unviversal sense. "All" is being used in a limited sense. All things is a reference to all things regarding redemption, salvation, and renewal of God's creation through Jesus ministry. (See John 16:30; 19:28; 1 John 2:20)
    "him" in the KJV and other English translations is a mistranslation and should be rendered "it." The logos of God is not a person, it's GOD'S possession. The convention of translating autos as "it" instead of "he" or "him" is found in many early English translations before the 1611 KJV.
    Examples:
    All things were made by it, and without it was made nothing that was made. (1599 GNV)
    All thynges were made by it: and without it, was made nothing that was made. (1595 Bishops Bible)
    All things were made by it and with out it was made nothing that was made. (1534 Tyndale Bible)
    All things were made by it, and without it, was made nothing that was made. (1539 Great Bible)
    All things were made by it, and without it was made nothing that was made. (1560 Geneva Bible)
    "ALL" is not used in the unviversal sense. "All" is being used in a limited sense. All things is a reference to all things regarding redemption, salvation, and renewal of God's creation through Jesus ministry. (See John 16:30; 19:28; 1 John 2:20)
    The Greek text reads as follows:
    "πάντα δι’ αὐτοῦ ἐγένετο, καὶ χωρὶς αὐτοῦ ἐγένετο οὐδὲ ἕν ὃ γέγονεν."
    This literally translates:
    "All things through it emerged and without it emerged not even one thing that emerged."
    "Emerged" does not mean the same as created. Emerged fits much better with "enlightenment" and "the light coming into the world." The light rises (emerges) in our hearts through hearing the GOSPEL. The Gospel sheds light, opens men's hearts, and has the power to save lives according to Romans 1:16. The only creation implied is the new creation brought about by Christs obedience unto death and subsequent resurrection (the new life in us).
    The intended message of John 1:3 is as follows:
    "All things (pertaining to our salvation) emerged (came to light) through the preaching of the GOSPEL, and without the preaching of the Gospel nothing that emerged (came to light) would have emerged (came to light)."
    Nothing in the context of John 1:1-3 indicates it is referring to the Genesis creation. It relates to the RENEWAL of Creation through the GOSPEL (logos).
    "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" 2 Corinthians 5:17
    "BY, IN, and FROM" YAHWEH we all have our existence.
    "THROUGH" Jesus all things are made new by the gospel, the word of YAH, His Logos. 2 Corinthians 5:17
    *A quick look at the Epistle of 1st John 1:1-3 provides incite to understanding John 1:1-3 (above).
    "That which was from *the beginning*, which we have *heard*, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched--this we proclaim concerning the *word of life* (logos). The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ." 1 John 1:1-3 NIV
    I no longer believe that Jesus is the "logos" of YHWH in John 1:1-5. That notion conflicts with too many scriptures.

      John 1:10-11

      @@approvedofGod I shortened it and came up with this :
      JOHN 1:14
      A typical English translation reads like this:
      *_"And the word became flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld its glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."_* John 1:14
      Most Christians believe Jesus is the word that became flesh. This interpretation is absurd and I will explain why using the Greek and prove it from the OT and the NT. My Premise is: The word did not become Jesus' flesh or anybody's flesh.
      1. Strong's 1096 Greek "egeneto" is poorly translated as "became" in John 1:14. "egeneto" is translated as "came to" in Luke 3:2
      *_"The word of God came to (egeneto) John the Baptist."_*
      Luke 3:2 and John 1:14 are conveying the same idea. The word of God came to them, was placed into them, and it dwelled in them. Nowhere in the OT does God say he will make His word become flesh. He says he will put his word into His prophet's mouth.
      The word becoming flesh is not prophesied. The word being placed into Jesus is prophesied in Deuteronomy 18:18.
      2. Strong's 4561 Greek "sarx" should not be translated "flesh" but rather "humanity." The next part of the verse supports sarx being translated as humanity by referring to "us." More than 80 percent of the time "sarx" is translated as "flesh" it is associated with the sinful nature of man, so it makes no sense to say the word became flesh. Using flesh and claiming it means "Jesus" dishonors him and is refuted by Jesus own words:
      *_"The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life."_* John 6:63.
      3. Strong's 1722 Greek "en" means: in, on, or among. "in" makes more sense than translating "en" as "among" because as with the prophets, John, Jesus, the disciples, and all believers today the word of God dwells in the believer. (Colossians 3:16)
      4. Strong's 846 Greek "autos" is accurately translated as "it" (not him or he) when referring to the logos. The only reason a translator would choose the word "he" is to lead the reader to believe the logos of God is the person of Jesus. However, Jesus never refers to himself as the "Word" and neither do any of the Apostles.
      No Greek Lexicon defines the word as Jesus.
      The way John 1:14 should be translated is like this:
      *_"The word came to humanity and dwelt in us, and we witnessed its glory, glory as like the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."
      _*
      Notice the glory they witnessed is "as like" that of the only begotten of the Father? There is no doubt the 12 disciples witnessed Jesus, but the disciples also felt the effects of the word of God coming into them and enlightening them with the same light Jesus had in him. They all experienced the grace and truth Jesus brought to them (the Gospel) which was in them.
      As further proof to support my corrections from Greek to English I rely on Deuteronomy 18:18 which is fulfilled in John 1:14
      *_"I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I WILL PUT MY WORDS IN HIS MOUTH. He will tell them everything I command him."_* Deuteronomy 18:18
      Where does God say in the above verse that he will make his word become the flesh of His prophet? There is a big difference between the word becoming flesh and God placing his word into Jesus and the word dwelling in us. Not one OT prophecy states that God's word will become the flesh of Jesus or anyone else for that matter. This is 100 percent proof that the translation I propose above is accurate.
      If Jesus is the word, then these scriptures are in conflict: John 7:15-18; John 8:28; John 12:49-50; John 14:10; John 14:24.
      *_The word is GOD._* John 1:1
      *_By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth._* Psalms 33:6 Made by God according to his divine plan (the logos), not made by Jesus.
      The word of God enters into those who receive it and it becomes life in them.
      *_"The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life."_* John 6:63
      The word of God ALWAYS works in conjunction with His spirit.
      YHWH, His word, and His spirit are indivisible. These are the three coequal and coeternal indivisibles. Not three persons, not three gods, but one God with one MIND(spirit) expressed through His inseparable eternal attribute and possession that He refers to as His "word."

      @@approvedofGod JOHN 1:10
      *"He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him."*
      *World* is translated from the Greek word Kosmos. In this context "kosmos" means *the inhabitants of the world* not the earth or the universe.
      *YHWH revealed Himself to the inhabitants of the world through His Son Jesus, but the inhabitants rejected Jesus, and by doing so they rejected YHWH.* In a similar way, when the Israelites rejected Moses by disobeying him, God considered it as a rejection of Himself.
      JOHN 1:11
      *"He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him."*
      Here John changes the subject. How did YHWH come to his own people? He reveals Himself to the Jews through his one and only begotten Son who He anointed as His agent. By rejecting Jesus and the Gospel, the Jews were rejecting YHWH.
      JOHN 1:12
      *"Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."*
      All those who believe the Gospel and trust in Jesus as the Son of God and Messiah, become children of God.
      JOHN 1:13
      *"children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God."*
      Jesus was given power and authority from His Father to forgive sins and grant eternal life. Those who believe Jesus is the Messiah and Son of God become children of God.

    If Jesus was not God then how do you explain verses:
    a. John 17:5? Where Jesus declared He existed with the Father before the world was...
    b. Revelation 22:12-13? Alpha and Omega (Jesus' words, NOT the Father's)
    c. John 8:58 Before Abraham was, I am

    John 1 is similar to the Genesis intro, however more likely, John is taking about the beginning of the ministry of Jesus the Messiah and he (Jesus) is shortly thereafter compared to John the Baptist which makes little sense if he was referring to the Genesis beginning.

    KJV Proverbs 8:25 "Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth". This means that the word/wisdom had came out before creation of the world. This is in line with what Jesus said in John 17:5 "And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was". Granting that the Word was God's word or speech, the above verses tell us that God's Word or speech was brought forth while still in the heavenly realm/ spiritual world or before everything was created. When the Word was brought forth, the Word acquired a distinct spiritual being or entity. God as a Spirit begets a Spirit which became his Spiritual Son.
    This spiritual Son is what God glorified in John 17:5. The Word, which has attained a Spirit being/entity in the heavenly realm, became flesh (Jesus), when thru God's Holy Spirit, was conceived and born of Mary. Jesus was the Word of God, and is God. Jesus is God's word which became human flesh..

      Isaiah 42:8 48:11-12 {God will never give his glory}
      I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, and I will not give my glory unto another. I am he; I am the first, I also am the Last.
      Revelation 1: 8 (He is the first and the last the beginning and the end the Alpha and Omega)
      I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was and which is to come, the Almighty.
      Philippians 2:5-7 {of what did he empty himself}
      Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation (emptied), and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of man:
      {The Greek reads as follows}
      Who in form of God subsisting not rapinesteemed it to be equal with god;
      John 14:28 {Jesus in human form occupies a lower position then the Father}
      "You heard that I said to you, ‘I go away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.'"

      Hebrews 2:9 {Jesus Humbled himself while walking among us}
      But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone
      Galatians 4:4 {Jesus surrendered his independent exercise of his divine attributes to be born as a human}
      But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,
      John 5:30
      “I can do nothing on my own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and my judgment is just, because I do not seek my own will, but the will of Him who sent me.”
      Colossians 1:19 {Yet he was still GOD}
      For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,
      Colossians 2:9
      For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Deity bodily.,
      ὅτι ἐν αὐτῷ κατοικεῖ πᾶν τὸ πλήρωμα τῆς Θεότητος σωματικῶς
      …This indicates most unequivocally the full divinity of Jesus Christ, for neither any man, even the godliest one, nor any angel, even the highest in angelic hierarchy can contain the "fullness" or "entirety" of Divinity. There is no human word that embodies the very essence of the Divine Being which dwells in Jesus.
      John 14:9
      Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

      To behold Jesus was to see GOD
      John 17:5 {God gives Jesus his glory back} {of his right to exercise his deity}
      And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
      Matthew 28:18 {which he takes up after the resurrection}
      And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power {authority} is given (surrendered) unto me in heaven and in earth.
      Revelation 1: 11-14, 22:13, 16 {Jesus assumes his correct position as GOD}
      Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: …
      And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;…
      And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man,
      His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
      I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End the First and the Last…
      >> have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches.
      Revelation 1:17-18 {the Holy Spirit thru John states Jesus is the First and the Last?}
      And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, fear not; I am the first and last:
      I am he that liveth, and was…………….. Dead, and, behold, I am alive for evermore, A-men; and have the keys of hell and of death
      John 1:1, 2,3,14 {The Holy Spirit states Jesus is God}
      In [the] beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and God was the Word .
      Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ Λόγος, καὶ ὁ Λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν Θεόν, καὶ Θεὸς ἦν ὁ Λόγος.

      Isaiah 7:14 {The Holy Spirit calls Jesus God}
      Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
      Isaiah 9:6
      For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

      But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen this way?”…
      Daniel 7:13-14, (Daniel saw the Son of Man approaching the Father)
      In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. I don’t think you can pay a debt with less then what’s real to pay that debt. You can’t pay eternal life with someone that is in eternal death , so you would say God said it s OK to let this eternal death debt cover this same eternal death debt , as long as he’s the best human? Instead of the Son of God that has the eternal life and willing to give it to mankind so they can have his life . I get the impression humans think eternal life is like money , it’s just printed. Why isn’t human sacrifice good enough? There has been plenty of that through human history to the innocent level, fighting for the good cause,

    It is lawful to call Jesus God as the one who glorifies Jesus, the Father, did do so. For He was pleased to have all HIS fullness dwell in His Firstborn and Jesus is His exact image. And that was before the world began. A creation that God made through Jesus and for Jesus.
    But about the Son he says,
    “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;
    a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
    9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
    therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
    by anointing you with the oil of joy
    He also says,
    “In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
    and the heavens are the work of your hands.
    11 They will perish, but you remain;
    they will all wear out like a garment.
    12 You will roll them up like a robe;
    like a garment they will be changed.
    But you remain the same,
    and your years will never end
    Jesus -a beginning at some point in history before the world began but has no end for Jesus has life in Himself by the will and command of His God. The Father is in Him and they are one. All the fullness of the Deity dwells in Jesus and the Son is the radiance of Gods glory and the exact representation of Gods being. Christ the wisdom and power of the Father. Christ the word of the Father.
    A Son who is called mighty God.
    When God brings the Firstborn into the world He commands all His angels to worship Him.

    Your first question. 1) *If someone is telling you he is the alpha and omega does that mean that he is God?*
    In its context, you have to remember I am or you or anyone else is not Jesus Christ, nor did I or you speak to John on the Island of Patmos. If Jesus says, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end, he is speaking about his Eternal being. Jesus is Eternal. God is Eternal.
    *Your Second question. If someone tells you, I am the alpha and the omega - does that mean they are God?* If a Man or Woman came up to me and said, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I would look at them and say you can't be Eternal because you were created. Not the Creator. I would look at them and say did you create the Heavens and the Earth. Obvious the answer is no.
    Jesus is claiming this, He was there at the beginning and the end Creation, that he is Eternal, that's the difference. You or I, know that you are not Eternal, we are created beings. If someone says I am Alpha and Omega, they are claiming to be Eternal.
    *(Isaiah 44: 6) Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last, and beside me, there is no God.*
    Literally the exact phase! *I am the first, and I am the last* (please don't overlook this.)
    We can see here God says *(Isaiah 44:6)* I am the first and the last beside me there is no God.
    Jesus says to John, *(Rev. 1:11)* I am the First and the last.
    Jesus is saying he is God.

      Rev. 1:8 is God, the Father speaking.
      Rev. 2:8 is Jesus says I am first and last, which IS a title that is also used for the Father, in a differnt way.
      If Jesus wanted to say he was God-----he WOULD. You are insinuating that Jesus is not coming right out and speaking the truth. This is not true. Jesus worships the same God that Abraham worshipped, and he taught us to worship that God, his Father, as well.
      God has appointed the man Jesus---God appointed/ordained Jesus (Jesus cannot be God here)--- to judge the living and the dead (Acts 17:31, 10:38).
      Jesus is literally speaking about having died in Rev. 2:8. The eternal God CANNOT DIE. You know this. To say the eternal God died is a contradiction. You make these contradictions because you're trying to prove an unbiblical lie. You're trying to force something untrue to be true.
      Instead of trying to prove what you were told by men, don't you think it would be wise to read the book and ask, "What does the book say about who God is and who Jesus is?"

      @@InfinitelyManic Not exclusively I think, but I know in original Greek there isn't any 'returning' or 'going back' with regard to Jesus going to the Father...those 3 translations are correct in line with the Greek...I don't know of more versions that have this correct, but they might be there. Also the 'Word' of God in John 1:1, isn't capitalized in the original Greek and I'm in the camp of 'the word' in John 1 just means the eternal plan/idea/speech of God the Father to the world. And that this plan/idea/speech finally became flesh in the form of the MAN Jesus Christ, for all mankind to be saved in his name. I don't believe 'the word' in John 1:1 directly refers to Jesus Christ or the eternal Son of God like he would be literally with the Father from the beginning. Do you believe in the trinity? If so, then the 'going back' to the Father (John 13:3) probably speaks more to your personal view, but the Greek isn't saying that.

      "Also the 'Word' of God in John 1:1, isn't capitalized in the original Greek" -- Well, there are uncials & minuscules; so I don't this point has much value. I also don't think we should rely exclusively on all non proper name capitalization in translated languages; e.g., "Lucifer".
      word == "plan/idea/speech of God the Father to the world"; this may be acceptable since logos = "word, spoken or written"; but do you strictly mean "to the world" given that the world is not eternal? Do you hold that the Father's speech includes His internal thoughts and are such thoughts eternal?
      "directly refers to Jesus Christ or the eternal Son of God like he would be literally with the Father from the beginning." -- You must separate the created human nature from the pre-existing nature (logos) or person. Yes, Jesus the man had a beginning in space time; therefore, the human man did not pre-exist.
      "Do you believe in the trinity?" -- I hold that Lord Jesus pre-existed eternally with respect to his divine nature as the logos of the Father & that the Holy Spirit is also eternal and has persona; yet, both emitted or came forth from the Father; so, while I would generally not use the word "trinity" since it's more often misunderstand or mischaracterized, you could construe my worldview as leaning towards trinitarianism.

    We cannot forget the importance of the three parts of our makeup. Spirit, Soul and Body (1 Thess 5:23)
    Our Spiritual bodies are, right now, Seated in heavenly places in Messiah.
    Colossians 3 Therefore if you ( Spirit ) have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is ( Now), seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind ( Soul ) on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3 For you have ( Spirit) died and your life ( Alive) is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you ( Spirit )also will be REVEALED with Him in glory.We ( True believers ) are , right now, His Body. In the heavenly and on earth
    Eph 1:22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
    The Called out Body ( Church ) is to keep His commandments and do His works
    John 14:12 Truly, truly, ( For sure, most definitely ) I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in My name ( His plan ), that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. 15 “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
    The real question each of us should ask is;
    " Am I doing the work of The Body of Messiah on planet earth and the heavens."
    Paul knew His Savior and did His work
    Romans 15:18 For I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me, resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed, 19 in the POWER of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and round about as far as Illyricum I have FULLY preached the gospel of Christ.
    1 Corinthians 2:4
    My message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.
    Blessings
    Romans 14:
    12 So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.
