I might do a roadtrip this summer to Germany. Some autobahn driving and hopefully a visit to N-ring/nordschleife. Yes, I own a ST MK8 as well.

Last Summer i had a 700mile in two weeks roadtrip in my 260bhp Fiesta ST also.
It was very comfortable and economical.
What mods are u running to get 260 bhp mate ??

What engine mods are made to get 260bho?
How does the car manage ?
My 3.5 ST focus feel very torquey on low rpm with bluefin , problem I can’t get it from a standing start or corner too hard , as soon as I get near the loud pedal it looses traction . It’s a real pain
By the time I ca Floor it , engines has ran out of revs superchip don’t like to rev
Mark C Revo software which doesn’t require additional hardware. The car also has an induction, GPF-back exhaust and uprated intercooler which makes a very slight difference to the numbers.

Great videos! I wanted a Mk8 fiesta ST since they came out and I finally got one in July last year! What a car! Love it! Saw your videos when you first got yours and wanted one even more. Got mine in the same colour but it’s the ST2 One question if anyone knows, can you get the car mapped with Revo if it’s on finance?

Question on the ST tho - do the fog / turning lights come on singularly even when just turning without indicators? Was being followed the other day by a fez and thought it just had a bulb out or some sort of error 😅
ad182uk Haha yeah they do. They’re branded as ‘cornering lights’ although I’m not entirely convinced they help all that much.
JB CTR no its really bamboozling especially at roundabouts when people arent indicating. I would be digging into the software and getting that turned off and just run them as fogs or extra DRL’s

Now that your lovely modified ST has done some miles is it still complettely squeak and rattle free? i'm rather sensitive to this and fancy an ST with the sun roof (mind you your comments on the performance additions compliant suspension could sway me in that direction - bumpy lanes like the Isle of Wight around my home). I have only managed to drive a new car so unable to check for long term ownership build quality. Cheers for the excellent videos.
Good to hear the videos are of use. My car has been pretty rattle free, but it tends to be luck of the draw when it comes to all Ford's. Some rattle, some don't. My MK7 had a few small niggles. The MK8 seems to be a little better built thus far.
Nice video, quality of the camera work and editing is better than some channels with 1m+ subscribers! I do like a good fiesta, got a mk7 my self, higher mileage at 117,000 1.25 zetec, just flyed through its mot, how many miles is yours on so far?

Rafael Branco Nope not really. As you saw, I got on and off the Ferry with no issues, and even up the really steep hill when we arrived 👍🏼

I find them incredibly comfy to be honest - they are one of the reasons I bought the car. That said, I am of a slimmer build - I know others that find them uncomfortable.
@@JBCTR to be honest, im not big either, 176cm 76kg, and i realy love the car, and i want to buy it for many reasons, the seats are one reason im considering not to, cause i could barely move in those which is perfect for track day or having fun on b roads but not so great for casual travelling....and i need the car as daily

Yes it does. Power gets put down surprisingly well in the wet... if your tyres are in good nick. When tyres go, unsurprisingly, so does the grip!
JB CTR cool my focus bluefin map dumps all its torque at low end rpm a flipping pain in arse thinking LSD will help
How was your experience with it running at 260? I assume you had the full Revo Performance Pack? Looking at getting that for my ST, currently it's completely stock. I'm thinking maybe doing it bit by bit though, starting with the intake then intercooler and piping etc and then the tune. Just wondered if you had anything to say about you experience?
Hi! I had a fantastic experience with the Revo software. I had the cooler, induction and a GPF-back Milltek. I never experienced the software that comes with the performance pack, however as I only had their ‘stage 1’ software. Hopefully I can borrow a car in the future to try it out :)
@@JBCTR Cool, cheers for the reply! From what I can see on the Revo site, the difference between the stage 1 & 2 software is around 10hp so it's something but nothing major. Great video as always by the way, was looking to see if you talked about your experience with the mods in this video or not but thanks for that. Excited to start the Revo mods soon - looking forward to content with the new pocket rocket too ;)

The mk8 ST has grown on alot over the past year or so. I got the wife ST-Line 120 diesel in magnetic and the look has got me going for a mk8. I have a 6.5ST and love the thing to death. The basic ST a pair of OMP's and good right foot. So is it worth a upping to a mk8ST???? Im not a power mad person i just like a light pocket rocket.
Cesc 2007 The MK8 is way way way more refined. Less race car, more daily that can do race car. It depends if you are ready to lose that hardcore feeling of the MK6!
@@JBCTR its really a tough call. The mk6 is my daily/show car and have spent crazy hours on full under restoration to keep it alive. The wife had a mk7 and didnt like it to drive. So deep thinking to do 🤔🤔🤔 will have to book a test drive for the weekend.

Rq7 Depends how you drive. 48mpg motorway. 12mpg track. 38 average over 10k miles

i would take some convincing that 260 bhp is legit mate .Mine has all mods yours does and just about managed 235 bhp on the dyno .On another dyno that figure was 232.The only variable that leaves is fuel.We only get 97 ron in NI but i cant see it making that big a difference.We will see what stage 2 software brings...by all accounts its not far away .I took delivery of my downpipe yesterday so that will be a full Milltek exhaust from downpipe to tail pipes.The car will do a standing quarter in 14 sec give or take.Have you ever tried a quarter mile in yours?
Alistair Smyth The car has been dyno’d twice at those power figures. If your car is consistently making those numbers, it will be because you are running Revo’s 97 RON software (which would make sense if you are only able to get 97 RON fuel - no doubt that is the software used by default by your Revo dealer). My car is loaded with the 99 RON software and is consistently run 99 RON fuel, which is why there is a discrepancy.
You can run the 99 RON map on 97 RON fuel, but it’s not recommended.
All other Revo cars I’ve seen dyno’d whilst running the 97 RON software have produced around the same power as yours, regardless of fuel. Hope this helps :)
@@JBCTR i looked into this ....and we added a very reputable octane booster which brought the fuel up to over 100 ron.all with the 99 ron software.havent re dynod to be honest because car has been in sorting a small problem to really did not feel any faster .Have you ever tried a quarter mile or 100km/hr to 200 km/hr sprint .Im miles off the figure quoted on Revo web site.As i say i only hope stage 2 does the trick .Its a terrific car and my second ST but would def benefit from 250 plus bhp

This particular car isn't on finance, but the Ford interest rates for PCP are generally much better than their competitors.

JB CTR in Poland there is a new law and Ford need to sell more lower emissions cars first, right know there is no even a new configurator for ST over here and after ordering you need to wait even for response if they will made your car :D

Β Π Ultimately it’s down to choice - they’re very different cars and you can get some seriously nice machinery for the same price if you go older. But one thing to bare in mind is that the TT is 5 years old, meaning it’s more likely to go wrong than a new car. Otherwise the choice is completely open ended and only you can decide 👍🏼
