Hope you're all well! Another video made from some in used footage during 2019, we only had the car for 20 mins and originally figured the video wasn't good enough, times are hard at the moment so here you go 🎬 Stay safe and see you for another Live stream soon ✌️
I know im asking randomly but does anybody know a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot the login password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Nikolai Coen Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and Im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Such a cracking car, it's the best hot hatch for Britain if you ask me. It's fast, but you can still use the power without getting in to any serious trouble, and its compact size means you can really throw it around on the back roads. I would have one in heartbeat!
I’ve had two ST’s now. The MK7.5 and now this generation. It’s so much more refined, the interior is game changing (compared to MK7) and the fun of the pop and bangs (although rather artificial) just makes it so much fun on the road especially when you feel that LSD kicking in and you can use all it has to offer!
Nice video. In 2014 I bought a new ST-2 Fiesta and Mountuned it. Unbelievable car. I now have an M2 and bet I'd have 'fun' keeping up with this version on twisty, narrow country lanes.
I hope you got a very good deal as there’s hundreds of these STs with left over heritage paint sitting at dealerships up and down the country. They should have given you at least 5-8k off the price
I am 18 and have an ST myself. So much car for the money and the insurance isn't anywhere near the likes of a golf R. Honestly believe it is one of the most underrated cars about for the price point.
It might be a second choice video that did not make the cut in 2019, it is still very decent. In these "times of scarcity", I am happy to feed on one of them. Bring them on! By any chance, you wouldn't have the test drive video of the Merc seen at the start of the video? That would be a treat...
I took one of these out for a test drive and was really impressed. Although I couldn’t have as much fun as you did as the Salesman was sitting next to me!
Fiesta ST is such a fun, light and zippy car. 200 bhp out of a tiny 3-pot. The sound is really nice for a turbo car even. I've driven a few and in the wet the fronts do like to light up at times.
Glad to see I’m not the only one who loves these cars! I had a tough decision between an M135i (the “proper” one, 6-cylinder) and the ST. I went for the 135, but there are times when I regret it; the Fiesta, despite what’s on paper, is much more of a driver’s car.
Nice to see you enjoying this car. Confirmed to me I would enjoy one. Will be giving up the m2 early next year when the warranty runs out and “downgrading” to one of these. I’m already excited haha
@@JoeAchilles1 I'd argue the performance is more suited to uk roads I.e. you can use all the available performance, have fun and not get in too much trouble
Great video nice to see a video with people who know cars. I had a 48 hour test drive about a year ago and feel in love I'm getting a st2 with performance pack very soon can't wait
I agree the engine feels bigger than it is. I had a clio 182 then a fiesta st (generation before this) and the st felt 'meatier'. Guess it's the torque. Nice video as always
Great video Joe. I've got the Mountune version of the ST3 with a flatter torque curve. It's a great daily drive but needs an expensive steering lock as EU law stipulates an EBD port within easy access of the steering wheel. Otherwise it's an easy target for thieves.
The ST is a blast to drive... Maybe even better if my fat ass would not have been in the passenger seat... We did this wrong Joe. Next time I let you go alone on video... hahaha :D
Great review. I have the performance edition in heritage orange. Never fails put smile on my face. Fast. Economical. A hoot to drive.. sounds good.. couldn't ask for more .
It has to be a great 1st car for a younger driver, good starting point & a decent price, even a second hand 1 😎 (Had to edit) *Dan* It's only 30mph up the hill (as Joe's doing 80mph lol) *Joe* Oh 😁
Ahh Joe....making me regret my life decisions. Had one of these on order pre lockdown and cancelled it in favour of a used 440i GC which is sitting at the dealership right now.
440i complete different type of car. Get it remapped. 400bhp. 0-124mph in around 14s. Plus it looks great. Supremely comfortable. One of the best all around cars you can buy.
@@easykarter18 fuck that remap and exhaust 440bhp. Even the new 330i with stage 1 tune gets like 320bhp 😂. I watched a video and the thing looked mental. BMW make amazing engines.

Great video as always Mr Achilles! I drove one last year ( a lot of fun) but had mixed feelings about the powertrain- felt heavily boosted/ on off switch (hardly surprising given the capacity and the bhp). Also weird 'vacuum sensation' when lifting off the throttle after accelerating hard in 1st/2nd year, revs dropping immediately. Got back into my 330Ci and surprisingly did not miss the ST that much- perhaps I need another drive with the sport mode electric throttle response turned off. Have driven a M140i previously and ofc that was awesome so would take a 1 year old one over a new ST for ~same money. Any ideas if petrol head tours are planning on doing a few more UK tours this year given the likely COVID travel restrictions this summer? Cheers
It is just me that thinks 25k for a 200bhp car is just insane. You might as well buy a mk7 second hand for about 10k and get a great example. Your basically paying 15k extra for an updated interior
They're around £22k RRP, you could probably strike a deal at around £16-17k, it's worth every single extra penny over the previous generation. Updated interior 😂
Joe Achilles the ST3 is just over 24k standard before options which 90% of people will buy. There is no additional power upgrade over the previous generation (overboost aside) and you lose a cylinder. Only differences which matter are a few driving modes, the interior and the suspension which is still firm. I will admit I do prefer the sound these make standard. Having driven one several times and prob done about 1k miles in them I feel they are numb over 4k and they lack the scrappy attitude and power I would expect from a fast Ford. It’s all a bit refined and detuned. A hot hatch for millennials I guess. It’s a solid but predictable offering from Ford, but I wouldn’t rush out to get one and upgrade from a MK7 if I had one.
I don't know about anyone else but if i'd paid 25k for a fiesta st 1.5 3 cylinder, i'd feel sick, unless it was on finance then i'd feel just stupid, i mean 25k can get you a 2 year old Type R... Good content though as always.
I love my MK8 which is better in every aspect the my previous MK7 except for one thing. The B+O sound system is poor in comparison to the MK7s Sony. Every review I have watched bangs on about the B+O system. It's just an overrated badge in my opinion. Great fun car but crap stereo system!

Nice vid. I owned a previous gen Fiesta ST and loved it. Did you ever drive one? And if so, how does this compare?
Yeah I loved the previous version too, I had a good drive of Sideway Sid's, but this new one has far more guts and really goes 🤟
Had a 1.0L Ecoboost as my first car, really do want one of these next. 1.5l nice upgrade
Great descriptive video. Will you be reviewing the new 2022 facelift model, 10% more torque, new Ford seats & body style ?
Lovely review Joe, torn between this and an early M135i auto, what would you prefer?
the Fiesta ST gives you Smiles per Miles
Great vid! Try one with Bluefin tuning & away you go! My missus has one & it’s cracking.

Great review Joe. I have the performance edition and if you liked the standard one you will love the PE
Epic car and sublime handling with the performance pack Diff 👊
Absolutely love my MK8 Fiesta ST. It reminds me of a grown up, more refined version of the Citroen Saxo VTS from the early 2000s.
Brilliant one Joe. Maybe you could try and get your hands on a new Focus ST...

Interesting fact, a horse has about 15hp...
Yep, over short periods, a heavy/draught horse can produce 12 - 15 PS and a truly colossal amount of torque.
Love the fun review - what are your thoughts for a p plater or first car for my son After I had it for a few years JA?
This is so good I had to watch it twice. Sorry Joe)
Brilliant car cheers steve 😀👍
I Joe! How you compare the fiesta and m140i in terms of confort and daily commute. Thank you i love your videos

We had to cancel our Fiesta ST because we needed a larger family car so went for the Mk3 Focus ST. Shame but it was a difficult decision.
It has to be a great 1st car for a younger driver, good starting point & a decent price, even a second hand 1 😎
(Had to edit)
*Dan* It's only 30mph up the hill (as Joe's doing 80mph lol)
*Joe* Oh 😁
So frustrating that this car is not available in the U.S.
In 2020 yes. Now the crown belongs to i20N if u ask me 🤗
Nice smashed up one outside of Billericay, shame as it looked pretty good so some poor sod has messed it up
