Lovely to see how Dan brings in more real connection with Niall from time to time. I wonder how it would have been of Niall allowed himself to flow with that a bit more?
I'm just at the start of this talk, so not heard it all yet. But at this point my thoughts are that we need to be clear on the differs from the idea of abandoned self, the lack of sense of self that some people with childhood trauma never develop. This lack of self is very problematic in their lives and actually interferes with their authenticity and their connection with others. I wonder if Dr Siegel brings this into his book.
To be Intraconnected it could be helpful to do the Wheel twice: starting with the rim awareness could be veiled through the rotation of the wheel, then you are fully the essence of what you really are : the hub of potentiality, you then then let attention flow again to the rim, staying centered in awarenes, now merging the experienced with awareness, being Intraconnected: Dance eagle dance [DanS(Dance)iegel(eagel)].
Sounds like a lot of what Dan talks about is very much a rebranding of Jung, Steiner and metaphysical inclined psychologists. Would have been good for him to give some more credit to the past and other eastern philosophies. There is nothing new under the sun but I do appreciate his capacity to translate/explain it through some form of cognitive based science i.e. neuroscience
It is more like his independent research and work come to the same conclusion as Jung & others. This is an example of “consilience” - a driving principle of Siegel’s IPNB framework.
he says so much but NOT "how we can shift our felt sense of identity and conceptualised sense of self away from an isolated ego" and nothing that WAS said was new. 3/10. imo. I enjoy the channel ^^ no shade
Thank you for the interview! The interviewer is great, asking the right questions!
A brilliant talk. Spoken with humility. Thank you
I find myself smiling like Niall listening to this. Fantastic implications for education and research here.
I regularly flowt and see what is there in my now. As rewarding as it often is, occasionally immediately useful.
Many thanks for this fine quest. ❤
This is really a present! It was made the 10th of August 2023 and that was my birthday! Thank you so much!

Eso significa que no solamente tenemos un objetivo personal sino que formamos parte de un objetivo común de especie.
