work on my Samsung a50. did like the video. replugged the phone. didn't see anything still on laptop . looked at phone .it was asking "do you want to authorize this device...." I said yes. ITs working now, I can see and transfer files. …..on the developer section,scrolling down, inoticed a usb option as what kind of transfer authorize...(file, audio, photo,midi….) so if further problems I will check n authorize for what im doing. thanks a lot!!!!!!! now I see my phone internal memory content and my add on 64g.great tutorial n simple. love you!

Since as per my little kn owledge it just opens up door for developers inside sensitive areas it can also be used for pushing malwares if connected to public network. So how how does keeping debugging mode on helps? Thanks!
Hi there, good easy to understand video... however, but, after following the instructions & activating the USB debugging mode on my galaxy a31, I still cannot access a USB stick when connected (via adaptor) to my phone's type c port. I hook up a USB stick via an adaptor, but nothing comes up on the file storage screen ~ other than my Internal & external sd cards. What am I doing wrong??
If debugging mode is on, and all that, but it's still not coming up on the laptop, is this to do with the wire connection? Even though it does pick up that it's charging?

Thank you brilliant. This helped on my Samsung Galaxy A50 phone. Took a bit of doing cause even when I had enabled developer options it did not show up so eventually I just searched while on the About Phone screen for developer options and there it was. I can't believe such an expensive, big brand phone makes it so complicated to do something as simple as transferring previously paid for music from my computer to my SD card (it is not as if I am illegally downloading or illegally file sharing music for example.) I had to do this with my Huawei phone a couple of years ago but since updates have come through I no longer have to do this. My Huawei was significantly cheaper than the Samsung. Just a note to others trying this, it is VERY IMPORTANT to turn of developer options after you have finished transferring files to your phone. Leaving it on can cause your phone to behave erratically and break (so a message on the phone says). So transfer your music or whatever you wish to transfer then TURN OFF developer options till you want to transfer files again. Yes, unfortunately you will have to go through the whole palaver again of tapping build number 7 times, then searching for developer options while on the About Phone screen. Don't do it outside of this screen as it doesn't bring up what you need.
Question re connecting Samsung Galaxy A Tablet (android) to USB B to MIDI keyboard . I am trying to use tablet with Simply Piano type app attaching tablet using a OTG USB C cable to USB B host cable to keyboard. I get zero recognition on tablet that device is detected. I have tried everything. I also used the two cables with printer to test and that worked. Any idea what I am missing?

Hi, I have USB debugging mode on but I still don't see my cell on the PC to transfer music files like mp3. I went to Select USB configuration and selected and changed to MTP but it stills shows charging only and it is not detected by the PC like before the last update. I did reboot the cell phone. This didn't work for me, my phone is a Samsung galaxy grand prime, I was able to follow all of the instructions, even though I had already tried this. All my phone does is charge when I plug it into my computer. I don't get the "Connect as media device" option on my drop down menu when I plug my phone in. If developer mode off, then usb debugging continue to its work. Or it also be closed with when developer mode off?
