Guys, go to system and click on serial number i think 7 times, the you will unlock developer setting. You can find them in settings, when you click on „more", but depends on what phone you have. Then go to developer setrings, and find option „usb debuging", and turn it on. When youre done, scroll down and select „Default USB configuration", and select „file transfer". And i think it should be working. Hope it helped :D
Thank you very much. My PC was loading all the pics as soon as I plugged in the phone & then cutting out with a message that said 'This device is unreachable' then instructing me to unplug & plug back in but then the same thing would happen. Going by your suggested route gave me the access I needed. Much appreciated.
Thanks for explaining everything at a nomal conversation pace. this is very important especially when it comes to using terms that many of us hear them for the 1st time, awesome video. ty
THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! I had 42 vacation pictures on an older phone that I had also used on a trip to the UK last year and could not get them transferred. You saved them! THANK YOU!!!
I really, really appreciate how clear and concise you are! You are so easy to follow and understand. So many 'how-to videos' move so fast, and use really technical language in a way that makes it impossible to follow and understand. Thank you, thank you!
Thank you for the video helpful tips. I do advise, though, that you UNMOUNT the phone first before removing the physical cable connection. It's the safest way. I've damaged my memory card in the past, and it has become unreadable and useless memory. UNMOUNT can be found in MY FILES on the phone or, if connected to the computer, can be found at the bottom of the screen task bar. Happy Easter.
I have found that unmounting is only necessary for SD cards or Thumb Drives. I do make sure the DCIM folder is closed on the phone to ensure there is nothing to be corrupted in the event of electron gods playing havoc on the device.
The proper cord makes ALL the difference. If one does not work, try another and try again. I used USB(regular bigger size) in laptop to the USB-c or my Samsung Note 20 Ultra. All instructions are spot on! Thank you sakitech! 🎉🎉
Thank you so much. I viewed several videos that were useless to me as they did not reflect my situation. But you nailed it. Clear and simple for everyone to follow. You saved me from an hour research that I feared was going to turn into a whole day. You'd think that modern phones would provide a quick link with pux to show us how to transfer our content onto a computer. Anyway, thanks again so much.
This is a good method that I used for a long time before discovering Samsung Flow, which performs the same task wirelessly, which is more convenient. If someone does not know the latter method you might want to make video on it.
A big thank you - I hadn't been able to access my emails on my phone as they wouldn't sinc due to a lack of storage. I've now downloaded them, deleted loads from my phone and solved my storage issues.
Thank you so much. I have watched other videos and tried several times, but your explanation is th only one that worked. You have saved my sanity. 😅 😎👍
Also handy to copy the DCIM over to Windows, where it is often much easier to organise and sort things, such as backing up where needed on the PC. Then copy the updated Folders inside of the Windows DCIM back over to the DCIM on the Mobile (delete any already there if everything is safe over on the PC such as in more than one Hard Drive), and then Mobile is sorted out much faster than doing it all on the small screen. Also good to create a new Folder for the Mobile with specific images, such as, say, X-Rays or Medical Images, if you want to show those quickly without hunting for them in amongst many others.
WOW thanks very much, I never new this. Luckily I had a usbC to usb3 crossover, just plugged in and message on phone said charging. But just went to the PC and opened file explorer and there was my phone, just drag and drop pics files onto my PC. So simple. PS thanks for speaking normally. Many people supposed to be doing demos on YT talk so fast you give up on them.
Thanks bro i was so worried when I tried to transfer the files to my laptop it didn't show anything at first but after I watched the full video I knew how to do it thanks bro
I fked around with onedrive for over an hour , even installed on my samsung 9 plus - photos will not load onto my windows 10 super Lenovo laptop - but your solution worked super easy and I thankyou for your time brother
Oh my god thank you so much for this. Trying the "photos" app kept causing a "device is unreachable" error, where as this process was much more painless and actually easier! Excellent video, you're great at explaining things.
Thank GOD, that I found someone, who slowed down, and took the time to explains, what to do. Because, I'm not Tech Savvy, in this Computer World. So, I Pray, I do you justice, from your Knowledgeable Information...❤😊
Great video but for cable transfer. My request is please give us a video for the simplest switching without cable, via wifi (and bluetooth if that makes sense). Greeting.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S20, a Microsoft Surface Pro 7, & I'm running Windows 11. I am using a C to C cable & my phone does not appear when I plug it in. I followed your steps precisely. Any advise?
Thanks for this interesting video which I found very useful. By the way the Atlas map wallpaper on your PC is incredible! Can you please let me know how I can download it? Many thanks again! Jim
I had 4 videos I wanted to pull off the phone. It downloaded the whole camera role and it changed the order and I can't sort by date to find the ones I am looking for.
Does the DMC folder stay on your phone? Also I keep looking for someone who can tellme how to get my last pictures taken to be the first downloaded. I currently download them from pictures and it takes forever for them to load and the ones I want are always at the bottom and I would like for them to be at the top. This process takes forever. Any way to do this?
My dads old computer just died, noble to updates since Windows 7. He used to use a usb to upload pics . this new compeer ( I haven't seen it yet ) says it does not support the usb . I think its Windows.. My Apple Air drop just adds the pics I want to my desk top.. Does he have to download an appt his new computer so is camera can upload his pics ???
and what happens if computer recognizes phone but does not allow me to see the contents of the phone. when I click on my phone's icon in the PC folder it says, "this folder empty." do I have to give permission somewhere in my phone to gain access to the files?
How long does it take for the copied & pasted pictures to clarify so I can see them?? They are all still showing in multiple tiny square boxes of colors?? Pictures are not clear at all. It seems like they are not fully transferred??? Please help!! Thank you!
i changed the ocrd to original and it showed the phone however, opening the phone iwith window explorer takes forever, not sure if I can wait. It used to open immediately. any suggestions?
Easy to follow instructions. Easy to understand what you are saying. Problem is that I don't want to take up too much of the memory on my computer. Does the computer have enough memory for this? Can I transfer the whole folder to my flash drive? Or do I have to drag them one at a time?
Thank you for the very informative video. However I find it much easier and faster to transfer pics, videos, music etc between devices thru bluetooth. No cable needed for that and it's pretty darn quick. I've been doing it this way for years.
Thank you for this video, the problem i ran into is I want to use a pic from my phone. The utube page for downloading a banner stated the resolution of the pic wasn't high enough. Suggestions? Thx
Thx for the info! Very helpful! How do I do the same except move all of the albums onto the Google photo site? So albums from my Samsung phone (SD card) onto the same album names inside the Google Photo site?
Good video, thanks! You (and several other similar videos) mention that right after the USB connection is made THE FIRST TIME, a pop-up appears providing transfer options (transferring pics or videos, etc.). This did occur on my Samsung Z Flip 5, but I have changed some setting (or settings), and the pop-up no longer shows up. I can do it as your video shows, but it WAS simpler before I changed settings incorrectly. Can you direct me to a solution?
Is it also possible to move the "Favorites" folder created by the phone in this way? Which is actually a folder on my phone that collects the photos I've tagged with a heart?
Thanks. Question - if you do this procedure every month say, will you end up with duplicate photos or will the folders be backed up with just the new photos you took the past month?
Using Link to Window will also allow you to copy and paste your photos, but I would copy them in a separate folder instead of the homescreen and you'll have to copy them 1 by 1.
Omg thank you! I wonder, can you tell me how you would get rid of duplicate pics/ videos from having used a handful of different clouds and in turn I uploaded these clouds to my laptop. Now I have 3 x the amount of photos.? Any ideas? I wish I just did this
I'm having the same problem. Been using this method for years, sudeenly my Samsung S9 is not recognized by any of my PC laptops. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have never had much success when copying pictures this way. When there are a lot of them this always crashes mid transfer and becomes a nightmare to find out what has been copied. Folder (album) by folder is the safer way to transfer using this method in my experience.
Great video!!! You're a great presenter!! I've done this many times, but suddenly my phone won't give me the screen that says "allow access to phone data". I can't see my phone in the device folder either. It still worked a couple of months ago. I figure my s21 ultra has partially given up its ghost :(
So, im still having an issue. I have a photo album that doesn't pop up. I have a bit over 2k of photos and videos that won't show when on the computer. Any help?
I recently got a Samsung Galaxy A54 and the charging cables it takes are those 25 volt ones. I don't have a type C port on my laptop, just the USB A type. These new cables don't plug into a USB A type. Right now my only option I have to transfer pics and videos is to load the pics on the SD card but that is a whole unnecessarily long process. Is there an adapter of some sort I can buy that will make photo transfers a lot easier? I'm really not tech savvy with these new phones :\
the man shows in this video near the start - you just need to buy the cable that is usb a to usb c. it has the usb A 'plug' thing at one end (that goes into your comp) and the C 'plug' at the other end which goes into your phone - you can buy them at any tech store and they're not too expensive :) good luck! (also i know some people use bluetooth for the transfers as well)
Thank you very much but still whatsapp make the bulky size in storage and very annoying browsing its pictures and videos to your pc to free soem storage and the situation worsen when you already was transferring all your previous backup data from another mobile and when using dual messenger.
So I have a lot of photos that are not in DCIM because they are junk (screenshots, screen recordings) that are not in DCIM because I didn't want them sinking to my cloud service. Can I still do this even though they are not in DCIM? Thanks Saki
I keep getting a pop up that says "The system cannot find the specified file" I get about 1/4 of the photos to download before this happens. Any suggestions please.
When I do this my computer keeps reconnecting to the phone in the middle of the copying process (it closes de open folder and show the device) and interrupts the copying. Is there a way to avoid this from happening?
I followed the initial directions, end up w/do I want to buy from Microsoft at 1.99 a month or a greater amount of storage for more money per month. That cannot be right. Pls help me, I want to get the photos onto my LG gram laptop. TYSM.

i have a samsung s10 and i use whatsapp to take pictures and videos. I also made a folder in the gallery and transferred all whatsapp videos to that folder. But when i connect my phone to pc that particular folder does not show up on my pc. Actually, anything to do with whatsaapp does not show on pc
