I think Madara's Susano'o being blue is actually one of the better options. Most of the time he wears that red armor, then there's the Sharingan, which is also red. If his Susano'o was red it could feel excessive. Blue Susano'o with the red armor has a better contrast. It also contrasts well with Kurama when he uses the Majestic Attire Susano'o. Blue and red, blue and orange. They are complementary colors. Maybe his Susano'o could have been a darker shade of blue to symbolize his inner darkness? But I think it's good on the blue spectrum. Yellow wouldn't fit (plus it's the standard color of chakra in the manga), green doesn't make sense, black would be too dark, and purple is Sasuke's color.
I think the differently colored Chakra could've worked, Hunter x Hunter 2011 does it for rhe character's individual attacks (Their "chakra" is usually pale white but gains a unique color when its used for an attack) and it adds so much charm to that series
Maybe it's a type of media thing. If blue color tint is expensive to print than yellow, maybe it's better tô make every chakra yellowish. And the same thing goes to the anime, maybe they already had finished lots of episodes before someone notice that the color was different than the anime colors, and would be cheaper to keep that color change in the anime.
Bro plagued me with the knowledge that there was a better alternative color for kakashi's susanoo and instead they went with just a lighter blue than madara... it was already bad enough that they just literally almost/totally copy pasted sasuke's susanoo for indra.
It should be noted that while there is a difference in color, it's not like it's all unique.... Chakra color is based on the mood and mental state. Samurai have a very strict mental stake, making their chakra blue... so it could be him being disciplined. Sasuke was strict with himself and was disciplined.... so it's blue.... Kabuto is the same... and when Sasuke goes crazy, his chakra becomes purple... Yellow seems to be hope.... this is just a theory, but it's probably something like that...
I don't know if you will read this, but i understood "Kakashi's" susano'o much more like if it was from Obito. I mean, the eyes comes from Obito, the powers are the same as Obito's, i assumed that what Obito did was giving his powers to Kakashi. So i feel that the susano'o Kakashi uses is not Kakashi's one, but Obito's one
Kakashi made the "susaso" It was his susano not given by obito.it was the first time the susano was created.obito help him but susano were made according to their owner abilities.Kakashi successfully create susano in first try. With Shuriken and wings and iq.even in the anime they said Kakashi susano if obito creat the susano first it will be his type & may be even stronger. I guess
There is also an interesting line of Naruto when talking to Jiraya about he having two different types of chakra inside him. As he would comment it was as if his normal chakra is yellow and the other chakra is red. Happens that Kurama chakra, just like other Bijuu, is red. And yet, always wondered why his Chakra Mode is a bright yellow.
I always thought the red Nine Tails chakra was a manifestation of how toxic and evil his energy was. So once Kushina helped restrain and control the Nine Tails Chakra going into Naruto, that's how we got KCM mode. The yellow flames represent Kurama's chakra in a more controlled state
The headcanon and possibly viable reason I always had for why the color of Chakra was changed was because of Dragonball and YYH. Because Dragonball and YYH set the template of Goku's Kamehameha and Yusuke's Spirit Gun being Blue, Studio Pierrot probably wanted their Battle Shounen descendents to follow the same successful template as well. They did it with Bleach as well, Ichigo's Getsuga Tenshou was Golden in the manga but also changed to Blue in the anime. Toriko's attacks are also Blue. I could be wrong, but this was what I always boiled it down to.
I think chakra was always supposed to be blue but the techniques molded from raw chakra had different colours, so they must have tweaked that in the anime for a more consistent colouring of chakra.
I'm not complaining that the color was changed to Blue in the Anime cuz Blue is objectively the prettiest color. But I do think it would have been cool to see different colors for each person.
Manga inconsistency.. it seems like "executed jutsu" turns yellow, but "purely" chakra (coating a sword) becomes blue. same with Asuma, since it was just a blade that absorbed chakra, it became blue.. but Danzo used a jutsu on his kunai (literally blowing air on it lol). For Naruto's sake, I think it's to portay where the limits of his own chakra and where "Kurama's chakra" was being utilized.. normal rasengan was just yellow, but when he did a Rasenshuriken or Oodama Rasengan, it had a much darker more orang-y color.. which oddly fits Kurama's colour. in regards to the anime, I would imagine it was due to consitency.. different colours on each and every person would require a much more "attention to detail" as colours are illuminating.. Having one consistent colour would mean the same "flare up" in light.. imagine if you had (lets say the chunin exam arc) a bunch of kids running around and throwing jutsu's charging chakra etc. it would be a nightmare to consistently show it in the same "tame" way we know Naruto for today. Also, imagine the drawback for Kakashi if he actually had white chakra.. dude would be spotted from a country away lol PS: in regards to yellow, as it is a bright colour; during daytime "feint aura" would be basically invisible but at nighttime it would stand out like a sore thumb, making it hard to consitently hold "the same level". Blue is enough of a contrast to both dark and light that it "stands out" during the daytime and during night time :D
Maybe it is easyer to draw black lines on a yellow background . And animators had just inverted colors because of what kishimoto intended but would not draw well ( yellow -> blue , black lines -> white ) , i think you are taking it too deep, think of practicality reasons, kishi is known for that.
I think Sasuke's Chakra Colour was supposed to be Red, because in the manga you could see when Yoroi was absorbing Sasuke's chakra it was depicted as red.
It's interesting that something similar has happened in Bleach. In that story different characters actually have different colour powers, but the main character, who has yellow power in his base form in manga has blue power in anime.

Honestly making chakra colour blue in manga makes for a much better watch since it stands out from the characters and are nicer to look at in the long run. It was a better decision overall.
Ends up reflecting the same thing that happened with the kamehameha, yellow in the manga, blue in the anime. While the dragon ball anime had the same color regarding ki auras, all being white, they decided to start diverging from the manga by making the aura of certain villain characters in late DB/early DBZ different colors as well as making the super saiyan aura yellow. Blue as a color definitely feels more supernatural because on ground level you don't see that color too often, the sky/heaven is blue and is so far away it's like it's beyond our world. I'm gonna guess that there may be some limitation of the media that influenced it somehow as well, like how blue is mega man's color simply because there were more tones of blue available in the pallette. Maybe something about how yellow paint interacts with the lighting technique that they used when these anime were still fully analog didn't result in satisfying enough visuals, who knows.
@@PabloNeves26 I don't watch DBZ, but obviously Goku would.use it in his orange outfit more often than not. Right? It doesn't matter if his first time using it he wore blue, it matter what he wears most of the time and his skin color is important as well. Not to mention that Super Saiyans have yellow hair as well.
This was the only time the anime had ever featured it any other color. Even in the manga, the actual color pages and color covers depict the Rasengan as blue. Volume 52 was the first time it was ever colored yellow and on a volume cover. All subsequent manga color pages--not the digital ones--depicted the Rasengan as blue, including Volume 67.
I read the manga dozens of time and I never saw it was stated that chakra changes color depending on the person, where is it coming from? The only time they mention chakra color, was during Naruto's first training with Jiraya but it doesn't say it changes color form people to people
My theory as to why the Kakashi/Obito susanoo was light blue instead of white like you're suggesting is because the colour and brightness of the susanoo equal to the brightness (and colour?) of the ms wielder To have a fully white susanoo makes no sense for Kakashi or Obito (even though Kakashi has ties to the shade) and I'd go so far as to say it makes no sense for any Uchiha whatsoever I could understand a grey susanoo since its darker then white but missing a white susanoo is the same reason we don't see a black susanoo No one can have a completely dark and hate filled life and awaken a mangekyo sharingan Same with no one being able to have a completely light and love filled life and awaken it And even if you tried to use the argument of it was Kakashi's even though it was Obito's eyes it doesn't make a lot of sense Kakashi quite literally has one of the darker family lives in the entire story and he lost his whole team so even if he was the one creating the susanoo please explain to me why he would have the brightest possible susanoo? Of all of this talk of susanoo colours i think its only right to bring up Sarada and link back to my previous statements of no completely dark or light life (spoilers) Because one could possibly try to argue that Sarada didn't have to kill or be semi responsible for the death of any loved ones But the awakening of the ms (and sharingan?) is stated to be directly linked to emotional trauma we found out the sharingan can be unlocked with different feelings but at least in Sarada's case it was a form of love born out of desperately wanting something missing from her childhood and the missing thing *emotionally hurt her* that being Sasuke being a terrible father on top of that even taking chapter 80 of Boruto into account Sarada awoke ms trying to help Boruto in any way she could after realising she was one of the very few people in the entire world that didn't have her memories altered A.K.A. a traumatising event Which means our current contender for a bright susanoo will not have a white one unless Kishimoto retcons himself for the 1000th time And in all honesty Sarada's susanoo should be the brightest we might ever see in the story since Kakashi/Obito susanoo was made on a lot of darkness but then again we've seen characters with darkness in their lives slowly drift away from the right colour for their susanoo (Sasuke has such a dark susanoo for him now despite being a lot lighter of a character instead of supreme teen edge lord Sasuke) which might mean that a susanoo first activated later in life will be different to what the state of the Uchiha awakening ms is in at that moment But it still doesn't mean a white or black susanoo could exist because no matter how hard one might try their life cannot become all light or dark as cleverly portrayed with the concept of yin and yang Neither can exist without the other And even assuming that later life can affect the colour of a susanoo the light blue of the Kakashi/Obito susanoo would probably be considered too bright depending on which way you look at it Kakashi it could make some sense for the light blue Obito it makes next to zero sense And its supposed to be Obito's susanoo not Kakashi's so the entire idea of trying to figure out any of that is useless because that susanoo should've never have been possible anyways because Kishimoto decided to pull a mangaka special attack Beyond the grave plot necessity to make Obito give Kakashi his eyes for a limited amount of time and then they just magically go away like WTF KISHIMOTO But i hope this seems like a decent explanation as to why Kakashi/Obito's susanoo isn't white In my opinion it should really be grey but making a literal grey scale susanoo would've probably been a bit too ironic for the last new susanoo in the manga
It's just to be iconic or for it to be easier considering they use other people's chakra is my guess. That way it's all normal until we see red in the tail beasts. Manga wise or was more interesting that chakra had colors for people
If every character would have their own chakra color then I would have it correlate with your nature affinity. Wind: Yellow to an olive Green Fire: Orange and lighter shades of purple Water: darker Blues into darker greens Lightning: light Blue and some Silvers Earth: Browns, greys, and some herbal greens. Red is only for tailed beast chakra... Naturo's KCM would be orangish as a hybrid of the two chakras (as would the cloaks he passed out during the war arc) Black is senjutsu chakra (since the cursemark is just a sage transformation and Sasuke onyx chidori turned black Imagine if Asuma used his Chakra blades with normal chakra and they were an olive green and then gained silver highlights when he extended/sharpened them If Naruto's Rasenshurikan had these black threads running through the silvery blades in sage mode. Then for a few characters Naruto: Gold Minato: Also Gold Jiraya: Sunrise Orange Kakashi: Silver Sasuke: "Electric" Blue Itachi: Campfire Orange Madara: Violet While in universe only jutsu without a nature transformation could reveal your chakra element the Sharingan and Byakugan would allow people to see the likely chakra nature affinity of their opponents to plan ahead. If anyone actually read this far recommend me some other chakra colors for characters.
Didn't Bleach do the same thing? I seem to recall Ichigo having golden Reitsu in the manga but not the anime. I could be mis-remembering though. Been years since I last read it but this feels familiar...
Recall, Ao was able to recognize Shishui's kotoamatsukami by its color when danzo used it. Chakra colors were not retconned, they just weren't shown in the colored panels
I always saw chakra as yellow since I was well into the Jiraiya arc when I started looking into the anime. This was waaaaay back when this stuff was still new and I just committed what Naruto says there to memory.
I think Kishimoto has retconed the chakra to be blue to align with the anime for quite some time, there is even a couple of manga covers and other official art by Kishimoto that proves it.
Ever since the Rasengan first appeared in a color page, it was blue, only featured as a different color once for a Jump cover in 2005. Naruto Volume 52 is the very first time that we actually see the Rasengan colored yellow in the manga. All subsequent color pages and color covers for the manga use blue and the anime consistently colors it blue up until the film "The Last."
You know it would actually be a lot cooler if chakra was different colors At the bare minimum I would like it if they added this to a Naruto Fighting game
I think it is possible that the videogames might have had just as much of an impact. Though they would start development when the anime was already airing, "blue as magic" is a video-game trope, and all games used blue chakra as a pickup, and that would have to be altered for each character. Another explanation could be that when the byakugan visualizes chakra it does so with a light blue "x-ray" lens, and that ended up just sticking. There's also the possibility that the studio and bandai didn't want it to look too much like Super Saiyans charging ki.
Everyone sleep on the orginal color because when i first watched the last and i saw naruto using yellow chakra i was pissed because he looks so much better with yellow chakra imo. Like the yellow rasenshuriken abd yellow rasengan he made suring the last a looked anazing. But i feel like its just anime and not just naruto, because in dragon the Kamehamehas are yellow but in anime thier blue, ichigo getsuga tensho in the manga is yellow but in anime its red and black, and then changed to black, then black and white, and then to yellow and blue
Similar thing happend in dragon ball Kamehameha used to be yellow in the manga, but it is blue in the anime As well as the fact that characters in the anime used to have different colours of ki auras, but now all of the main characters have white ki by default (even tho other characters, outside of the main group, could still have different colours of ki) For example Goku used to have red ki and Vegeta's ki used to be purple, but they are both white now and only change colours when transforming Piccolo's ki was green, then purple, then white As well as the fact that super sayan auras look way different in manga and the anime In the manga super sayan 1 has an aura that looks like a gentle flame, but with ss2 and ss3 auras get progressively more rapid, wild and gagged In the anime they are all pretty much the same apart from ss2 and ss3 having lightnings in them
The chakra colour in the manga and anime should be the same as the character hair that would also explain the reason for the number of diffrent hair colors
One moment you say they are Caucasian, they you end up saying that their skin color has a yellow tint the next. At least you ended up admitting that their Asian
I don't really care for the idea of every character having their own unique chakra color because it would make different types of chakra a pain. For instance, if someone ordinarily has blue chakra but chakra blades are also specifically blue, it kinda ruins the specialness of it when that character uses that ability. Even if the same character isn't using the ability of their color, it would just be awkward. I am however a fan of the idea of standardized colors for every chakra type. If blue is the basic chakra, then sage mode could have green, chakra blades could have red, etc. That would be more interesting than what we got, especially if each of the elemental types also had their own color. As for the Susanoo's, I like purple for Sasuke but I would have gone with a darker, deeper shade than what he got to represent the darkness in his heart. For Itachi I actually think it should have been gray to represent his moral ambiguity, doing horrible things with noble intentions. Crimson Red I agree would fit Madara perfectly, his bloodlust in battle is unrivaled. For Kakashi because he's technically borrowing Obito's power when he's using it, I'd say his color would be Obito's color. In that case, I'd say his should be the lighter purple color that Sasuke ended up with. This would represent Obito's darkened heart slipping back into the light and finding redemption.
Thought i was the only one that was severely disappointed that Madara's Susano wasn't a powerful Red. It would've fit him so much better and made him feel all the more menacing
I'm almost positive that there was some point in early Naruto when he's talking about using the Kyubii's chakra for the first time, he describes it as feeling red and his own as feeling blue. I may be wrong, but I have this memory.
Kakashi’s Susano’o couldn’t be white because it was not actually his Susano’o. He was using Obito’s Mangekyo Sharingan while Obito soul was inside his body. So, Kakashi Susano’o could not be white just because it was actually Obito’s Susano’o.
I mean, I agree that white would have been waaaaaaaay cooler, but it just wouldn’t just make sense for Obito (even though blue too doesn’t make much sense for Obito).
You didnt even mention the most obvious reason for the yellow not making it in the anime. They didnt want a main character in an orange jumpsuit surrounded by a yellow aura when he powered up. There is already a rather large anime that already did that. You know, another spikey haired guy that Naruto drew heavy inspiration from.
Here's the simple reason why, no wanted people to thinlk Naruto was ripping off the super saiyan aura everytime someone used Chakra. Bleach did unique auras better
6:10 sorry but are you color blind or is it just me? I don't see any green in this just light yellow and alsobsome previous drawings. were orange but you called them yellow. You also called the white rasenshuriken blue 12:27 isn't that green?
It’s not really important at the end of the day but I just wanted to put it out there someone who has studied color theory that chakra isn’t consistent in the series. It’s always bothered me when they call Naruto‘s Ninetails chakra red when in fact, it’s a red orange, well, the chakra depicted in the manga is a yellow orange, and sometimes is completely orange. I think you were on some thing with the color contrast theory, but I think it’s based more on wanting the chocolate to contrast with Naruto‘s outfit, which is also orange versus the backgrounds, blue is the complementary color of orange. It looks much better visually on screen.
chakra is blue in the anime due to consistency, same reason why kishimoto made chakra yellow in the manga but it is officially stated by kishimoto that everyone's chakra is a different color 3 examples in the manga/anime is that 1. Ao(the byakugan guy from the mist) recognize shisui's sharingan chakra color which is why he could discern that that danzo might be using genjutsu to control someone in the meeting. 2. Another example is karin discerning that the color of sasuke's chakra changed to black, which is cold and intense, unlike naruto which is warm 3. "The Last" movie, they made naruto and hinata have different chakra colors (with the exception of the very last rasengan where naruto uses it to "fly" with hinata for the kiss) For most of the movie, we see naruto using orange chakra while hinata has a purple chakra when using her lion fist (while kishimoto did say hinata had blue chakra, we also know homura has blue chakra, and from karin, we know that chakra color can change. So who knows, its all up to kishimoto's whims)
You could force it back into the lore by simply saving that when you put chakra into a jutsu, any jutsu it tends to align with the color most common for that jutsu. And that personal chakra color is like chakra nature in that you can't really see it under normal circumstances nor does it strongly effect the jutsus being performed.
What color would your chakra be?

Yeah I thought it was cool when Neji's awakening mode gave him white chakra
13:37 But, that Susanoo and those eyes are from Obito's chakra...
Canon or not, blue Rasengan looks much cooler than yellow. So I'd say that the anime made the correct choice here.
Could of sworn Naruto when talking to Jiraiya he describing the Nine Tails Chakra as red and his own as blue
have*
Maybe it's a type of media thing. If blue color tint is expensive to print than yellow, maybe it's better tô make every chakra yellowish. And the same thing goes to the anime, maybe they already had finished lots of episodes before someone notice that the color was different than the anime colors, and would be cheaper to keep that color change in the anime.
Yellow is also a low contrast color too so it's hard to see in bright colors especially in day time sky scenes
Man.. It really explains quite a lot.
Though, I think in that case Kakashi's rasengan should be blue.
Yes exactly!
Kakashi made the "susaso" It was his susano not given by obito.it was the first time the susano was created.obito help him but susano were made according to their owner abilities.Kakashi successfully create susano in first try. With Shuriken and wings and iq.even in the anime they said Kakashi susano
if obito creat the susano first it will be his type & may be even stronger. I guess
@@lemonz.7 Their Obito's eye.....
Yeah that was mentioned in the manga
I always thought the red Nine Tails chakra was a manifestation of how toxic and evil his energy was. So once Kushina helped restrain and control the Nine Tails Chakra going into Naruto, that's how we got KCM mode. The yellow flames represent Kurama's chakra in a more controlled state
@@ADragonNerd That was my thought too, but nope, it's just yellow cause pure chakra is yellow
Madara's red susanoo and Kakashi's white susanoo sound amazing. I need to see this!
Also if the charka was yellow in the anime it would also blend in with the dirt around them or sand as well
The headcanon and possibly viable reason I always had for why the color of Chakra was changed was because of Dragonball and YYH.
Challenge:
Do one pull up every time he says yellow.
One push up every time he says chakra.
One burpee every time he says blue.
💪
Also, imagine the drawback for Kakashi if he actually had white chakra.. dude would be spotted from a country away lol
PS: in regards to yellow, as it is a bright colour; during daytime "feint aura" would be basically invisible but at nighttime it would stand out like a sore thumb, making it hard to consitently hold "the same level".
Blue is enough of a contrast to both dark and light that it "stands out" during the daytime and during night time :D
“If you’re a die-hard then you probably know already”
I guess I’m not
Yellow/orange rasengan just looks god awful
An orange Rasengan would make sense if Naruto combines his chakra with Kurama
5:43 OK i get it! i never assumed everyone had different color Chakra until you pointed it out anyways! geez, issues..
*Chakra will always be blue in my heart*
Blue chakra just fits better
Maybe it is easyer to draw black lines on a yellow background . And animators had just inverted colors because of what kishimoto intended but would not draw well ( yellow -> blue , black lines -> white ) , i think you are taking it too deep, think of practicality reasons, kishi is known for that.
I think Sasuke's Chakra Colour was supposed to be Red, because in the manga you could see when Yoroi was absorbing Sasuke's chakra it was depicted as red.
You are crazy. You are uploading videos every 2 days. I dont have an idea where do you find inspiration. Great work, just keep going
Thank you so much 😀
@@DygoKnight Why do you refer to Kurama as "she"?
It's interesting that something similar has happened in Bleach. In that story different characters actually have different colour powers, but the main character, who has yellow power in his base form in manga has blue power in anime.
Can we all admit one piece is the worst of the big 3 Naruto and bleach just shit on it.
@@getpape4126 No, we really can't. No idea how you came to that conclusion from discussion about coloured powers. Are you a troll by any chance?

That Susanoo is Obitos not Kekashis
Nope, Obito doesn't have a Susanoo
@@DygoKnight That's what bothers me with Kakashi's Susanoo. These are Obito's eyes (or whatever he did to transmit his MS chakra to Kakashi), so why is it treated like it's Kakashi's Susanoo?
edit: changed there to these
@DygoKnight the chakra that Kakashi uses to gain the double MS is Obito's, later on he can't do it again.
@@DygoKnight Frankly neither of them should have a susanoo, we saw very clearly a Susanoo is something that needs to be created by an Uchiha and it doesn't just spawn out of nowhere ready for battle like a megazord, Obito sure as hell didn't create it and Kakashi isn't even an Uchiha so he should not of been able to create it even if he wanted to.
@@Iron700man I think Susano's are what you get from two mangekyo eyes. From what I understood, tsukuyomi was one eye, amaterasu the other, but combined they were susano.
The Kamehameha is also yellow in the manga.
Both Naeuro and Goku wear an oramge outfit. Blue and orange contrast each other, so the change was made to make the main characters look better.

I thought the Kamehameha was white in the manga.
I could be remembering wrong but isn’t Naruto’s Rasengan/Rasenshuriken yellow in The Last movie
it is
Yup confused me for a while too then I just gave up thinking and only found out about the manga color later
First time I saw it I rationalise it as Naruto just using the chakra of the Nine Tails even in base form (the Rasenshuriken he used was in based).
Yeah it's probably for contrast while in motion. Makes it easier for viewers to track what's going on when the pictures, yknow, move.
"Do it right! Make it white!!" LMAO!!! Context is very important ... 😂😂
Liked!
I read the manga dozens of time and I never saw it was stated that chakra changes color depending on the person, where is it coming from? The only time they mention chakra color, was during Naruto's first training with Jiraya but it doesn't say it changes color form people to people
Can't wait until Naruto Kai comes out with authentic chakra colors
My theory as to why the Kakashi/Obito susanoo was light blue instead of white like you're suggesting is because the colour and brightness of the susanoo equal to the brightness (and colour?) of the ms wielder
To have a fully white susanoo makes no sense for Kakashi or Obito (even though Kakashi has ties to the shade) and I'd go so far as to say it makes no sense for any Uchiha whatsoever
I could understand a grey susanoo since its darker then white but missing a white susanoo is the same reason we don't see a black susanoo
No one can have a completely dark and hate filled life and awaken a mangekyo sharingan
Same with no one being able to have a completely light and love filled life and awaken it
And even if you tried to use the argument of it was Kakashi's even though it was Obito's eyes it doesn't make a lot of sense
Kakashi quite literally has one of the darker family lives in the entire story and he lost his whole team so even if he was the one creating the susanoo please explain to me why he would have the brightest possible susanoo?
Of all of this talk of susanoo colours i think its only right to bring up Sarada and link back to my previous statements of no completely dark or light life
(spoilers)
Because one could possibly try to argue that Sarada didn't have to kill or be semi responsible for the death of any loved ones
But the awakening of the ms (and sharingan?) is stated to be directly linked to emotional trauma
we found out the sharingan can be unlocked with different feelings but at least in Sarada's case it was a form of love born out of desperately wanting something missing from her childhood and the missing thing *emotionally hurt her* that being Sasuke being a terrible father
on top of that even taking chapter 80 of Boruto into account
Sarada awoke ms trying to help Boruto in any way she could after realising she was one of the very few people in the entire world that didn't have her memories altered
A.K.A. a traumatising event
Which means our current contender for a bright susanoo will not have a white one unless Kishimoto retcons himself for the 1000th time
And in all honesty Sarada's susanoo should be the brightest we might ever see in the story since Kakashi/Obito susanoo was made on a lot of darkness but then again we've seen characters with darkness in their lives slowly drift away from the right colour for their susanoo (Sasuke has such a dark susanoo for him now despite being a lot lighter of a character instead of supreme teen edge lord Sasuke) which might mean that a susanoo first activated later in life will be different to what the state of the Uchiha awakening ms is in at that moment
But it still doesn't mean a white or black susanoo could exist because no matter how hard one might try their life cannot become all light or dark as cleverly portrayed with the concept of yin and yang
Neither can exist without the other
And even assuming that later life can affect the colour of a susanoo the light blue of the Kakashi/Obito susanoo would probably be considered too bright depending on which way you look at it
Kakashi it could make some sense for the light blue
Obito it makes next to zero sense
And its supposed to be Obito's susanoo not Kakashi's so the entire idea of trying to figure out any of that is useless because that susanoo should've never have been possible anyways because Kishimoto decided to pull a mangaka special attack
Beyond the grave plot necessity to make Obito give Kakashi his eyes for a limited amount of time and then they just magically go away
like WTF KISHIMOTO
But i hope this seems like a decent explanation as to why Kakashi/Obito's susanoo isn't white
In my opinion it should really be grey but making a literal grey scale susanoo would've probably been a bit too ironic for the last new susanoo in the manga
It's just to be iconic or for it to be easier considering they use other people's chakra is my guess.
That way it's all normal until we see red in the tail beasts.
Manga wise or was more interesting that chakra had colors for people
All the tailed beasts having red chakra when they’re supposed to be distinct entities was def a retcon. We never once saw any red chakra from Shukaku.
@@hobbyhorse5848kishimoto didn't have enough time to give them different designs that why
If every character would have their own chakra color then I would have it correlate with your nature affinity.
Wind: Yellow to an olive Green
Fire: Orange and lighter shades of purple
Water: darker Blues into darker greens
Lightning: light Blue and some Silvers
Earth: Browns, greys, and some herbal greens.
Red is only for tailed beast chakra... Naturo's KCM would be orangish as a hybrid of the two chakras (as would the cloaks he passed out during the war arc)
Black is senjutsu chakra (since the cursemark is just a sage transformation and Sasuke onyx chidori turned black
Imagine if Asuma used his Chakra blades with normal chakra and they were an olive green and then gained silver highlights when he extended/sharpened them
If Naruto's Rasenshurikan had these black threads running through the silvery blades in sage mode.
Then for a few characters
Naruto: Gold
Minato: Also Gold
Jiraya: Sunrise Orange
Kakashi: Silver
Sasuke: "Electric" Blue
Itachi: Campfire Orange
Madara: Violet
While in universe only jutsu without a nature transformation could reveal your chakra element the Sharingan and Byakugan would allow people to see the likely chakra nature affinity of their opponents to plan ahead.
If anyone actually read this far recommend me some other chakra colors for characters.
Didn't Bleach do the same thing?
I seem to recall Ichigo having golden Reitsu in the manga but not the anime.
I could be mis-remembering though. Been years since I last read it but this feels familiar...
You're right.......boy do I miss his blue reitsu/getsuga tensho😞
Recall, Ao was able to recognize Shishui's kotoamatsukami by its color when danzo used it. Chakra colors were not retconned, they just weren't shown in the colored panels
Damn the Yellow Chakra cloak looked so cool.
The blue kcm, red susano'o for Madara and white susano'o for Kakashi look so cool
Same thing in dragon ball. In the manga the kamehameha is yellow when in the anime it’s blue
I can definitely agree that Madara's Susanoo should've been a deep crimson and Kakashi's a pure white.
it was technically obitos susano'o tho so it wouldnt be white would be a bada** idea tho. i would love to see a pure white susano'o
sasuke should’ve blue susanoo, and madara purple
I always saw chakra as yellow since I was well into the Jiraiya arc when I started looking into the anime. This was waaaaay back when this stuff was still new and I just committed what Naruto says there to memory.
I thought the color was unofficial? You said the color manga was official (not talking about Kishimoto pages)
it's official
The only connection I could think of is that they all trained each other
I think Kishimoto has retconed the chakra to be blue to align with the anime for quite some time, there is even a couple of manga covers and other official art by Kishimoto that proves it.
You know it would actually be a lot cooler if chakra was different colors
At the bare minimum I would like it if they added this to a Naruto Fighting game
blue is associated with magic so it'd be natural for chakra to be animated blue- and not some yellow piss-ball
isn't green associated as well?
"yellow piss-ball" 😂😂😂
Meh changing it to blue was the better decision. Blue energy is a very iconic aspect of anime tbh. Blue energy is like the standard
Im not watching a 15 minute video when the answer is "it looks better" lmao
Facts. It should've been blue in the Manga too
😦
the most elaborated excuse to rant about white susanoo
I think it is possible that the videogames might have had just as much of an impact. Though they would start development when the anime was already airing, "blue as magic" is a video-game trope, and all games used blue chakra as a pickup, and that would have to be altered for each character.
Another explanation could be that when the byakugan visualizes chakra it does so with a light blue "x-ray" lens, and that ended up just sticking.
There's also the possibility that the studio and bandai didn't want it to look too much like Super Saiyans charging ki.
Did kishimoto do the coloring in manga or somebody else did it???
Cuz if kishimoto didn't, then it's stupid to debate about the color
The colored version I use in the videos is official
Blue just looks more appealing it’s literally the same with dragon ball z you tryn reach in this vid man lmao
Idk man people like SS more than SSB in DBZ. I think for Naruto it is more or less what you were introduced to first, the manga or the anime
Maybe it's because i am used to it, but it looks better as blue, especially when it comes to the Rasengan, because it contrasts Naruto more.
Similar thing happend in dragon ball
Kamehameha used to be yellow in the manga, but it is blue in the anime
As well as the fact that characters in the anime used to have different colours of ki auras, but now all of the main characters have white ki by default (even tho other characters, outside of the main group, could still have different colours of ki)
For example Goku used to have red ki and Vegeta's ki used to be purple, but they are both white now and only change colours when transforming
Piccolo's ki was green, then purple, then white
As well as the fact that super sayan auras look way different in manga and the anime
In the manga super sayan 1 has an aura that looks like a gentle flame, but with ss2 and ss3 auras get progressively more rapid, wild and gagged
In the anime they are all pretty much the same apart from ss2 and ss3 having lightnings in them
The chakra colour in the manga and anime should be the same as the character hair that would also explain the reason for the number of diffrent hair colors
The color of chakra is not really emphasized in the story so it’s irrelevant to have characters with different colors without any explanation.
In the manga he said yellow
We need nest part of rewriting naruto ASAP.
Its kind of funny how Ichigo's getsuga received the same treatment
Kakashi’s Susano’o couldn’t be white because it was not actually his Susano’o. He was using Obito’s Mangekyo Sharingan while Obito soul was inside his body. So, Kakashi Susano’o could not be white just because it was actually Obito’s Susano’o.
I mean, I agree that white would have been waaaaaaaay cooler, but it just wouldn’t just make sense for Obito (even though blue too doesn’t make much sense for Obito).
due to the fact that kakashs sus wasn’t his, I think the color wouldn’t be his
It was very much his
You didnt even mention the most obvious reason for the yellow not making it in the anime.
They didnt want a main character in an orange jumpsuit surrounded by a yellow aura when he powered up. There is already a rather large anime that already did that. You know, another spikey haired guy that Naruto drew heavy inspiration from.
Assuming Kakashi had blue because the eye was Obito’s and that Obito would have had blue. Agree that it’s kinda dull tho
Are the colored version of the manga official? Can someone let me know so a can reread it lol
Here's the simple reason why, no wanted people to thinlk Naruto was ripping off the super saiyan aura everytime someone used Chakra. Bleach did unique auras better
It’s crazy even the Naruto toys come with blue rasengan
There is also manga volume covers that have blue rasengans and are illustrated by Kishimoto.
6:10 sorry but are you color blind or is it just me? I don't see any green in this just light yellow and alsobsome previous drawings. were orange but you called them yellow. You also called the white rasenshuriken blue
12:27 isn't that green?
3:50 Why would Obito's Susanoo be white? Kakashi doesn't use his chakra, only his friend's.
Which colour is Naruto's goggle?
Kakashi and Jaraiya should have had whitw chakra, IMO it should just match their hair colour, black hair being blue chakra though.
I think the most obvious is the colour contrast for sure, especially blue versus the tailed beasts demonic red
chakra is blue in the anime due to consistency, same reason why kishimoto made chakra yellow in the manga
but it is officially stated by kishimoto that everyone's chakra is a different color
3 examples in the manga/anime is that
1. Ao(the byakugan guy from the mist) recognize shisui's sharingan chakra color which is why he could discern that that danzo might be using genjutsu to control someone in the meeting.
2. Another example is karin discerning that the color of sasuke's chakra changed to black, which is cold and intense, unlike naruto which is warm
3. "The Last" movie, they made naruto and hinata have different chakra colors (with the exception of the very last rasengan where naruto uses it to "fly" with hinata for the kiss)
For most of the movie, we see naruto using orange chakra while hinata has a purple chakra when using her lion fist
(while kishimoto did say hinata had blue chakra, we also know homura has blue chakra, and from karin, we know that chakra color can change. So who knows, its all up to kishimoto's whims)
i think blue is the perfect color for regular chakra, regardless of the user. Blue feels more spiritual/magic, yellow feels more physical/organic
So you are saying that white is better?
You could force it back into the lore by simply saving that when you put chakra into a jutsu, any jutsu it tends to align with the color most common for that jutsu.
And that personal chakra color is like chakra nature in that you can't really see it under normal circumstances nor does it strongly effect the jutsus being performed.
same case with Bleach but as an avid anime watcher, I just love blue energy
