Got a suggestion! Why not a video on an ideal “ninja curriculum”. If Dygo was the hokage, which skills he would make mandatory before having children leave the academy to become shinobi?
My list of Techs would be the CC trio Wall water and point. Kawamari and Henge are excellent for them too. clone is iffy as we see it's okay but definitely low priority. Learning your Nature and Flow direction is up there. And finally the utilitie justu such as the mini fireball we see from time to time to light fires. Sealing Scrolls finally a form of quick escape smoke screens. For weapons I would keep focus on kunai and shuriken but for extra points allow senbon. Anything else is for a tutor, clan etc. Taijutsu is a weird case of wanting the basics but giving them a choice to evolve it to another style of maybe three types.
I would make something divided by years. Moreover, i'm curious about something: can civilians take ninja lessons?! Cause i'm sure that if anyone could in theory learn ninjutsu, think about the horror of living in a society were, if you study 2 to 3 years, you can shapeshift into other people or short distant teleport. This is random but true. In my opinion Baki from the hidden sand was the best portrayed Jonin/teacher in part 1 naruto that doesnt get credit for all the things he did off screen. He led his genin team on a S rank mission and orchestrated a failed invasion that severely weakend the leaf. Baki also made the wise order for gaara to retreat from the arena after his fight with sasuke. In the novel Baki is respected by gaara as the man who taught his siblings jutsu and provided senior epertise on how to fulfill their roles as heir to the kage title.. Its implied he was the head jonin leading the village after the 4th kazekage death and groomed Gaara , temari and Kankuro. He was also the jonin who sent the sand siblings to help in the in the sasuke rescue arc. He took an L with how orichimaru tricked him but he got even by sending gaara to kill kimimaru. Baki was the only jonin who was making big moves in Naruto part 1, hard to argue otherwise.
If we're talking about Jiraya it was less about teaching Naruto new jutsu because Jiraya is a gutsy bastard who decided Naruto should dump his training into master the 9 tails as it jinchuuriki. Its precisely why he undid Orochimaru's seal and why he went out of his way to let Naruto invoke more of the 9 tails chakra - and of course that's where they slipped up with the 4 tails. I really think that's the biggest set back and the goal became riding the line between allowing Naruto to access that strength but supressing it just enough where a 5 tailed or more state would become a huge problem - at least until such a time where Naruto could perfect the new seal. All of the Akatsuki business put that on the back burner. It kind of makes me wonder if Naruto just had his normal albiet impressive chakra level without the Kurama during the 2 year time skip. Maybe Jiraya would have actually focused more on teaching Naruto more versatile jutsu
@@DygoKnight well he must have been at some point...but the first time we saw the sexy jutsu, naruto was still at the academy wasn't he? Anyways i still agree iruka didn't teach him much strength wise...
1:25 you are aware the reason the clones impolded on themselves was because of insane chakra output from bad chakra control which even tho Iruka could've helped him with that issue earlier , the multishadow clone simply took something he was already taught and applied his uncontrolled , insane amount of chakra and basically balanced out his massive chakra output with the amount of clones.
Honestly, Kakashi was actually Naruto's Best teacher skill wise. He helped him develop his first nature transformation in the form of Rasengan (Alongside Yamato.) and could have taught him Rasengan. (Probably would have too if he never left with Jiraiya, so he'd follow in Manato's footsteps.) Taught him all of the basics etc. Made him several times stronger, And that was only in a few months. Jiraiya had him for like 2 years and Naruto came back barely any stronger. Kakashi could have taught him everything Jiraiya did and simultaneously added some more jutsu's to that arsenal of his. Since Kakashi likely knows wind release jutsu's. But Then Again, Asuma taught Naruto a portion of the Rasengan in like 5 seconds. So dude would have been the perfect teacher for Naruto.
I think the problem with kakashi was how little of time he actually got to be the Sensei before jiraiya took over. Also retcons like adding in the chakra paper make him look like an idiot. I will give him one thing his focusing on Sasuke actually made a lot of sense because in the chunin exams he was going to face Gaara who would kill him if he'd lost meanwhile Naruto is facing neji who would only heat him up. Then of course this instantly got followed by Naruto leaving with jiraiya Sasuke leaving and Sakura going with Tsunade. He didn't even get to be a teacher to them for that long
The techniques are important, yes, but I think we have to take into account the more important factor these mentors brought Naruto, and that is his mindset. Without the right mindset Naruto would not have been able to chew all the techniques down, considering he was basically mentally depressed. Most importantly, they empowered Naruto’s most powerful characteristic, which was his determination and absolute persistence, only through which he was able to learn the techniques themselves. So, yes, even someone like Iruka, who lacked power and techniques; without his interaction with Naruto in the beginning and unlocking his mindset properly, I would argue that Naruto would not be able to learn the later techniques under the same circumstances.
Not Naruto's but the best teachers in the series are definetely Orochimaru and Tsunade. This is mostly based off the insane improvements of Sasuke and Sakura in the time skip. Sakura is pretty undebateable but I also don't think Sasuke would have naturally learned a lot of his new skills like sword fighting, being the only character with two summons without the rinnegan, and all the lightning jutsu.
Yeah but a lot of Sasuke’s improvements can be argued to be experimentative on Sasuke’s body to make him immune to poisons and amp his stats with the curse mark. Jiraiya said it himself, training prodogies is easy. He should know because Jiraiya himself trained Minato, who is WAY stronger than the Sasuke that Orochimaru trained.
@@edwinsolis5710Sasuke is not the only one who had the curse mark. He was just better than the others users with it that even Jugo (original owner) call him good at use CSM.

Top three for me are kakashi frogs and killer b. Jiraya only taught Naruto something he was already going to learn in terms of skills and his training was the worst of the sannin. Orochimaru made Sasuke so strong he one shot Naruto and co. Tsunade made Sakura grow to a high level she was a lead cause with chiyo in an akasuki death. Akasuki the guys so powerful they wrecked the cast for years before Shippuden really got going. Naruto getting sage mode rasenshurrikan and tail beast mode was his best ramp ups. Heck kakashi If he taught Naruto instead of Sasuke would have had rasengan in the chunin exams like Sasuke getting chidori as kakashi could definitely have taught Naruto Sage mode led to the best fight in Naruto and killer B gave Naruto a major boost that led to his own shadow clones being able to take down kage
Kakashi won't have been able to teach Naruto Rasengan since he himself couldn't do it, dummy... Only 2 people knew how to do the rasengan ball, Minato and Jiraiya, hence were the only ones who could teach Naruto the rasengan, dummy

Iruka is overrated and irrelevant. Story indicated he didn't even liked Naruto until the incident with mizuki at ep 1. Otherwise Naruto wouldn't be struggling with clone Jutsu in first place if iruka had seriously taught him.
@@jean77andre I think kishi intended Naruto have someone to support him at start of series to not turn him into an evil character but still not wanted Naruto to become quickly strong so early on. So that's why characters like hiruzen and iruka appear to have fucked up so badly when it comes to Narutos growth. In his intention to show Naruto a loser at the start, he only made people hate these characters for their supposed hippocracy or negligence( Naruto is literally like konoha's nuclear weapon geopolitically, if anything konoha is likely to train him and nurture him from start than outright ignoring him and risking blowing up in its face. It would be like US or Russian gov risking nuclear warheads implosion by ignoring their maintainence)
@@JoGoat20 I agree with you. There are characters that Kishimoto gave them no chance. But still, Iruka contributed nothing to Naruto's development. His only usefulness was that of a support pillar and that's cool and all but he basically washed Naruto off his hands. He neglected him in the ninja academy, graduated him and quickly assigned him to another sensei.
I really agree with Iruka's position. Tbh. Iruka is kinda getting too much credit. Even for being Naruto's "father figure"/"big brother"/"first person who acknowledged him" whatever. While true, it's not because of any quality Iruka had. Iruka, as you said, hated Naruto. Through most of Naruto's teachings, he didn't like him. He needed the Third to tell him to give Naruto a chance in the first place. In comparison, every teacher Naruto meets AFTER graduating from the Academy, with the exception of Ebisu, never really treats Naruto like a monster. So Iruka is given a lot of credit for being the first person for Naruto, and therefore being immensely important to Naruto, but really it looks like, as soon as Naruto graduated, he would've met a bunch of people who liked him pretty easily, without having to fight for their respect as hard as he did with Iruka. I wouldn't call him a bad teacher per se, though. Every student other than Naruto, seemed to have learned the basics from him. Most of what Sakura knows early on is probably what she learned from Mizuki and Iruka...So, while he failed with Naruto, he's not completely useless as a teacher. I'm glad you put Ebisu there. He's actually probably a good teacher.
I agree with almost everything but I still think he was a horrible teacher to all students when it came to ninja training. When they graduate at the age 12 they are supposed to take on missions right away, sure they should begin from D missions upwards but they are considered full fledged ninja. To the point that in Kakashi's time ninja of the same age would have to participate in the war. Of course, Naruto graduated during a time of peace but they remark in the story that the peace between the Shinobi villages was unstable and they had skirmishes often enough to consider that a new war could start at any time. From all of Iruka's students, with the exception of those that either come from specific clans or have outside individuals who take an interest in them, all students were horrid. Sakura, Ino, Hinata and Naruto would all basically die if thrown to the wolves. They barely knew the basics, they had to actually be taught once more by their new teachers who were supposed to be more of a form of team leaders. All other students were good because they were also trained at home with the specialties of their bloodline and clan. With the exception of Rock Lee who was under Guy's guidance since young or Hinata who despite having such an advantage was a poor kunoichi because she couldn't thrive with the type of teaching her father practiced. Of course Sasuke's family was dead but in the flashbacks we saw that he learned the basics from his family and often trained with them meaning that he could practice alone and he had a whole different type of motivation (the same with Neji) to become stronger. So if we take the students that are regular/have no clan to support them like Sakura or Naruto, or the students that despite having a clan either do not thrive under their family guidance or are lazy like Hinata or Ino, Iruka basically didn't teach anything to anyone. What Sakura knew was because she was a very dedicated student and very diligent and she barely passed by. What Ini and Hinata knew was because of their families and bloodlines and special ninjutsu. So Naruto who didn't have neither family, nor study dedication, had nothing to become an excellent student. If Iruka was actually a good teacher Naruto could have shined, as well as the other weaker characters. Sorry for the huge rant hahah
I still cannot understand how in a military dictatorship iruka and the third Hokage allowed Naruto, the village trump card, to skip classes and goof off during his most formative years. You’d think after the Nine tails attack, and the loss of the Uchiha clan, the third would want to make sure that Naruto as trained to his full potential should he need to defend the village.

I agree with your top 3, especially the possibly contentious placement of Jiraiya, I agree. Jiraiya polishing Naruto's FUNDAMENTALS was way more valuable than everything else the lower teachers taught him, AS WELL as teaching Naruto two of the strongest/only jutsu in his 3 jutsu arsenal. Summoning and Rasengan, Naruto's third jutsu, shadow clone, was self-taught, and literally every other jutsu Naruto uses aside from "fundamental/gimmick" jutsu, transformation, every other jutsu is just a variation on the Rasengan. Basically, the top 3 teachers really MADE Naruto the powerhouse he became. At the end of the day I agree with the top 3 specific placements and for the reasons listed.
Honestly, I'd give worst teacher to Jiraiya. Look, I get that he tried to teach Naruto how to control the 9 Tails, but you'd think he would also teach him Sage Mode, chakra natures, changing the rasengan's nature, maybe other jutsus than Shadow Clone and Rasengan. Like, Jiraiya taught Naruto summoning jutsu in a short amount of time, but for like 2 years together taught him jack besides increasing his physical stats and a slightly larger rasengan. Just from the missed training opportunities, Jiraiya deserves worst spot.
So you based your argument on kakashi being number 1 on how important rasenshuriken is to his kit but left jiraiya at no 3 despite jiraiya teaching the basis of that jutsu the rasengan to begin with and jiraiya being the one who introduced naruto to the frogs which led to him being able to be taught sage mode. The basis for rankings in this video is all over the place. Based on your kakashi explaination, bee should be by far the no1 teacher as his teaching is what led to naruto’s biggest powerup by far.
The stuff that kakashi taught would've took decades but kakashi found a way for naruto to implement his favorite technique better kakashi made naruto better in a few months than jiraya did in 2 years
Fuck you mean asuma is better because asuma taught naruto something and iruka didn’t? You were spot on just a moment before. Iruka didn’t really teach naruto any shinobi shit, instead he taught naruto compassion, kinship and acceptance, all of which are major traits in naruto down the line.
Ebisu is low key a pretty great ninja sensei. He has the skill and the ability to phrase that as instruction, yet everyone dunks on him because he's not powerful. Dude has such good Chakra control he could probally be a combat medic like sakura
"Naruto learnt the rasengan in a few months while Minato took 3 years to develop it" I think developing a jutsu is far harder than having someone teach you how to do it, so that comparison makes no sense
Next content, strongest jutsu in each elements. You have mentioned the best strongest in wind and fire, now make a video talking about the other elements
Im pretty sure it's more along the lines of Naruto just being a student who skipped classes. Not only that, Iruka also was teaching others like Hinata, Sakura Shikamaru, and Sasuke, among other ninjas in the academy.
Are you kidding me? Iruka was the strongest teacher Naruto had. He technically taught him Talk-no-Jutsu in the first episode. Edit: Damn like five people beat me to it.
I agree with most of this on the list but for the one who was able to give Naruto his biggest power up would be Bee. Tail beast are suppose to be weapons of mass destruction. Without the ability for any Jinchuriki host to not be able to use their tail beast would make them useless. KCM is so broken and it allowed Naruto to be literally a SSJ. But then you can say Bee didn't really teach him anything, more like he gave him guidance.
🤔 how can you have kakashi so high for teaching naruto stuff you already said other ppl taught naruto. Stop padding kakashi's stats he was a bad teacher
Iruka was actually Naruto's best teacher because he taught Naruto his signature jutsu when he used it to sway Naruto in the fight against Mizuki. Asuma's input on the wind nature chakra is pretty underrated. It was this input that give way to all the Rasengans.
100% I completely forgot till now but he was so good
Got a suggestion!
The anime made a whole arc out of Naruto's training with Asuma, a rare moment of filler making things better
Your referring to the 12 guardian arc with sora right?.
Even though jaraya wasn’t the best teacher he has a very special place in my heart 😢
His perviness rubbed off on you right?
He was a very pragmatic man from what we get to see. He was essentially acting Kazekage until Gaara took up the position in earnest.
Naruto learnt the transformation jutsu during Iruka's time...and it helped in the final battle...anyone remember the reverse harem jutsu? ;-)
He was trash at the transformation jutsu
@@DygoKnight well he must have been at some point...but the first time we saw the sexy jutsu, naruto was still at the academy wasn't he?

1:25 you are aware the reason the clones impolded on themselves was because of insane chakra output from bad chakra control which even tho Iruka could've helped him with that issue earlier , the multishadow clone simply took something he was already taught and applied his uncontrolled , insane amount of chakra and basically balanced out his massive chakra output with the amount of clones.
Did you get you list backwards? Lol 10 minutes with Asuma taught naruto more about chakra than anything all the rest did. Asuma teaching MVP.

Honestly, Kakashi was actually Naruto's Best teacher skill wise. He helped him develop his first nature transformation in the form of Rasengan (Alongside Yamato.) and could have taught him Rasengan. (Probably would have too if he never left with Jiraiya, so he'd follow in Manato's footsteps.)
Taught him all of the basics etc.
I forgot Kurotsuchi teaching Naruto about nature manipulation is not canon :(
I think the problem with kakashi was how little of time he actually got to be the Sensei before jiraiya took over.
Fukasaku was Naruto's best teacher.
Did you make this list before Minato manga cuz we saw that Jiraiya actually helped Minato come up with Rasengan so he probably came up with the training aswell.
I was saying Yes! To every ranking. Awesome job 😎
Yo this is the hottest take on Iruka I have ever heard.
And I'm here for it! This doesn't make me like Iruka any less, but I think you are objectively correct. Naruto has proven to be a prodigy time and again (yes he works hard but nowhere close to rock Lee, and rock Lee can't do what Naruto can, so yes. Naruto is a prodigy, fight me)
But this take provides insight on the absent teacher student dynamic. Much respect!
Yeah Iruka is more of an Father/Older Brother figure to Naruto than a mentor
he ditched half of the classes and slept through the other half even the best teacher's need cooperation . If he acted the same he would have not learned water walked he might not even Learn ebisu's name .same for asuma he would have learned nothing .
Kakashi also taught Naruto his best jutsu, thousand years of death. How did you not mention that?
And to think Naruto really made that jutsu usefull in the fight against Gaara...
taught.. more like reverse engineered lol.
Naruto from Chapter 1 mastered high-level jutsus in less amount of time.
This tendency to boil things down to who does the biggest punch and not who had better character developmemt just helps to dumb down shonen manga.
Yeah i hate it soo much
Top three for me are kakashi frogs and killer b.
Heck kakashi If he taught Naruto instead of Sasuke would have had rasengan in the chunin exams like Sasuke getting chidori as kakashi could definitely have taught Naruto
Sage mode led to the best fight in Naruto and killer B gave Naruto a major boost that led to his own shadow clones being able to take down kage
Kakashi won't have been able to teach Naruto Rasengan since he himself couldn't do it, dummy... Only 2 people knew how to do the rasengan ball, Minato and Jiraiya, hence were the only ones who could teach Naruto the rasengan, dummy

Killer Bee: Teaches Naruto for a couple days how to master utilizing the 9 tails chakra and how to get over his "alter-ego self", as well as the importance of working with your tailed beast.
Jiraiya: Spends 3 years training Naruto during the timeskip and teaches him how to make a bigger rasengan.
Knight: So here we have Killer Bee at 4 and Jiraiya at 3.
So bias man. Like we get it, Jiraiya was our childhood favourite "sensei" character. But he was a straight up unimpressive teacher.

About Asuma, I aways though that Naruto should be using a kind of wind style kunai as a basic technic. In your rewrite series for exemple I would like more if it has that instead of wind bullet.
Might just be a ranking of who taught Naruto the most jutsus or something. The role of a teacher goes far beyond just teaching subjects, a teacher that teaches well might teach you how to do stuff well, but a good teacher can change someone's life

My guy here did a service to Iruka. Iruka didn't amount to anything and didn't help in the series at all. He cried a little at the beginning and that was the end of his usefulness.
Iruka is overrated and irrelevant. Story indicated he didn't even liked Naruto until the incident with mizuki at ep 1. Otherwise Naruto wouldn't be struggling with clone Jutsu in first place if iruka had seriously taught him.
@@JoGoat20 you are 100% right! Iruka was an awful ninja, an awful teacher and an awful character all around.
Are we all gonna ignore the smooth editing @2:29 ?
Nice video, it would be interesting to see your take on who’s the best all around teacher to all their students.
