Great video. Nice to see the different fits and hear some stories behind them. I am also getting into wider fits so this was perfect for some inspiration. Loved the PBJ.
Great variety of fabrics in your collection, that's what I hope to accomplish with mine. Started my selvedge denim journey 3 months ago and have a indigo and black pair.
Great video. Has also reminded me to try and be more mindful in consuming so I can pick up a few more heavy hitters (e.g like those epic century denims).
You might like the Samurai 510 fit. It's a relaxed straight fit with a comfortable rise that's not too high. It comes in a variety of weights but I've got the 15oz and it's great.
When I was living in Madrid I got to visit the Redcast store, such nice people! My understanding of why Kapital doesn't make their century denim selvedge is because they see it as redundant. If the sashiko works as intended it should take a "century" to break in the denim to the point of it falling apart, hence the nomenclature. That could just be marketing gimmicks at work, but that's the lore in forums.
I ended up getting the Kapital 5P Cisco N7S last Fall. Such a fun pair. Going to Self Edge in a few weeks. Hopefully I can find some lighter colored denim with Summer here.
Nice collection! Building mine as well, slowly but surely. You mentioned not having to wear a suit anymore, what were you doing then and what are you doing now?
I would check your measurement. I wear anything from a 30-34 depending on the brand and Japanese brands love to play around with sizing. I went with a 34 on these but prob could have gone with a 32 witch is my true size
Fun video ! My least favorite fit wise and look of denim is those our legacy jeans. My first impression is they’re not flattering on you. Great taste in everything else 👍🏽
@ don’t get me wrong, there are some great pieces. My partner picked up a Ringoman Jacket last time we were there. I just mean the perception of Kapital outside of Japan is much higher than in Japan and most of the people shopping at their stores that I saw were American. The price was also far lower, situating it a lot closer to the quality it actually is.
You should think about not folding your denim when not wearing them or when putting wears on them. I personally butcher hang all my pairs especially the raw and japanese pairs.
@@JamesHerlihy half fold is okay on pairs your not wearing at all. Them being folded presses down the wrinkles and honey combing and all around shaping you are putting every wear. If you care about fades that is, that’s why your lee riders have that flat almost squared fading at the thigh because they folded them while not wearing them.
Just picked up the Oni 242s and I'm in love 👏🏼 so comfy right out of the package!
By far my favorite jean currently
Redcast Heritage is my go to online. Fantastic store. And their measurements are super accurate. Eduardo and Isabel are also the nicest people.
it was an amazing experience and the price is great!
The 501's and the PBJ's are keepers. Ultimately, we want effortless fits for the long haul.
Its fun to change it up!!
I love that you included your Lee Riders 👍. Those Kapital jeans are super cool and look to have a great fit as well. Thanks!
Glad you like them! thank you!

Glad you enjoyed! you can't go wrong with any of them!
Those last Kapital ones are tough! That black tee really suits you btw!
Thank you!!
Love the color on 501, color shows high quality!
for sure!!

hell yeah! enjoy it!

Heck yeah dude!!

I’ll check them out!! Appreciate the rec!

That’s good to now! Thanks for that. Glad they are good people too. They have really good pricing
Great collection! Thank you for sharing ONI - will look into it :)
Please do! thank you!
The Sheshiko & the Kapital on you…🔥😍
Thank you!
Great content. Can you do a non-denim pants collection too?
For sure!! I’ll do my best!
did your one wash 0105's stretch much? I'm in between going TTS which are my typical measurements or sizing up.
It honestly hard for me to tell. I’ve lost about 10 pounds since purchasing so they are on the big side for me. I would say they stretch a little bit
Okay, but what's the black tee yr wearing? It's fantastic.
Buck mason field spec love it!
Those two kapital jeans are insane
thank you!!

hell yeah! don't forget to check out blue in green and 3sixteen. im sure you know all the spots.
@@JamesHerlihy They actually just got a store in Austin,TX.
This was fun to watch. When did you get rid of your Levi’s 501 150th anniversary pair?
I miss those! I ended up selling them before i left for NYC. They became to big after i lost weight.
Nice collection! Building mine as well, slowly but surely. You mentioned not having to wear a suit anymore, what were you doing then and what are you doing now?
I worked in the luxury watch world selling high end watches. now I'm kinda taking som time off not really sure what's next
The Oni's are awesome
Thank you!
Curious, have tried the Fullcount 1101 fit? Any thoughts if so
I haven’t. Seems like a good pair of jeans. Im not a huge fan of tapered jeans
Did you go TTS on the Fullcounts?

thank you!
what size are you wearing on the kapital denim jeans ?
im a 34 in both but I would check measurements before buying
I did the asics what model they!
they are the asics gel 1130 taupe great price too
I know an Errevintage boro/sashiko jacket when I see one.
Heck yeah! love that thing!
The price of Kapital outside of Japan is out of control. Given the quality compared to other brands it's no way near worth the price.
I enjoy them

I hang all my denim like a would dress pants but they are still folded in half. Do you think that's ok? the butcher hang is a good idea.

@howeyenetwork9743 good to know!
