Tbh I like how older movies don't treat their kid audience like idiots. Like it's ok to not explain every single detail and just trust that viewers will get it/ figure it out.
Most kids usually don’t figure things out but it makes the movie more enjoyable for adults. And when the kids rewatch the movie, it makes the experience much better.
That's why I love rewatching old movies now that I'm oler
Wokeus Pocus
shoulda been the name instead
For me, the most apparent sign of times changing is how the characters reacted to virgin.
In the 1993 movie, Danni said "A _virgin_ lit the black flamed candle..." and rolled her eyes.
2022 characters supposed to be about 15 saying "Wait?! Eww!""
So pathetic, cringey and creepy.
Yet kids have sex at a way younger age now days 😂
It's wired anyone the 3 of group could of lit the black flamed candle
Especially when a grown ass 40 year old man was expected to be a virgin for some reason. Like the 16 year old girl said "ew" when shop owner dude said if he lit the candle it wouldn't work. Like yea dude he's an adult...
The worst part of this movie was the 10 minute long Walgreens ad 😒 and how utterly disjointed the whole 'plot' was by the end
The Walgreens was literally the best scene
Bro thank you for calling out how many times they say ‘virgin’ in the first one!! I watched the movie for the first time the other day and I was like wtf you’re talking about a kid! Thought I was missing something or I was going crazy overreacting lol
The biggest thing I didn’t like was the fact they made the witches barely even evil. They kill a kid in the first 10 minutes in the original. She also didn’t care at the end when her sisters were about to be dust she was going to take the youth for herself. They did this with Maleficent and Cruella too ! We can like evil villains because they are a good villain AND they can still be fun without having to be sympathetic or “nice” deep down because they are fictional characters !
Thank youuuu. I felt like I was taking crazy pills when I saw all the love HP2 was getting.
Having to wait 300 years for a virgin to light a candle is crazy 💀
I like to know why it taken 300 years to light the black flamed candle
@@davidcrazyrides Nah fr 🤔🤔🤔
@@davidcrazyridesidk I guess no one tried it.
It also had to be Halloween and a full moon. That would only happen every several decades and also you'd have to have the virgin light it on that specific night.
"That was a 'she does yoga in real life sniff'." 😂 I don't know how I got here but I'm entertained.
I'm embarrassed that I laughed at the roomba-broom... But in my defense, I'm sick and sleep deprived 🥴
Kinda par for the course that the chunkier friend lead the way out of most situations but wasn't the one with the powers it was the unwilling racially ambiguous princess
Me sniffing my sheets after they just got washed 5:27
I, for one, would love to see more of this type of content!
That 30 year wait comment had me going. Wacky witches and yes, reviews have been the thing lately. I think you should give it a shot. I was thoroughly entertained.
The original Hocus Pocus was incredible, the sequel was half baked and poorly thought out. Too many wrong people involved who didn't value what the original had to offer which is such a shame because there was so much potential for a continuation. Wokeness definitely infected it, the teenage girls were obnoxious, all the new male characters were useless morons, and once again Disney tries to make classic female villains sympathetic when they shouldn't be. One of the worst sequels ever made and not having Max, Allison, and Dani back was the biggest mistake
Wacky witches!
I needed this! Very clear and funny. Lot of spoilers, but at least you showed what you were talking about. Thanks so much!
He gave her a gift. She didn’t question it she just took it…. Being grateful when he didn’t have to give her anything at all.
I think I will start preempting my hugs with "Hocus Pocus"
Also I just realized Winifred has eyebrows in the sequel but doesn’t in the original hocus pocus
Michael get ready I'm all over this comment section 😭 I really needed to vent about this movie apparently lmao
Grammy is a musical award not acting, you mean academy award.
RUclips needs to fix their notification system
😲😩
That lit lighter joke was fire ;D
I put it on for my nieces and didn't watch
Love the style videos! More movies and tv shows plz!
@5:32
This was totally inspired by Jeremy Fragrance.
Bruh I HATED this movie! Idk if it was Disney or the PG rating but everything was off. How was she a witch? Where tf was her mom? Why was it a musical? Why the Zachary binx bait for no reason? The fact that "Put a spell on you " got respiratory failure so "one way or another" could hide its inhaler smdh
😭 so many questions
Dude chill. It's a campy movie the first one doesn't make sense either. It's just supposed to be fun lol
@What Ever dude why do you care what I have to say? I know it's campy, I just didn't enjoy how it differed so much from the first and it had plot holes. Camp doest equal trash
@What Ever imo the plot in HP2 is way more convoluted than the first
This movie's plot has more holes than spongebob damn squarepants 💀
Remember this dude on vine…
I love your humor so much!
cannot believe i forgot about your channel. glad to be back 🥳

Spooky Month!!
🎃👻🐈⬛on God !!
17:43 ankles snapping? In the air?? 😂
Nah movie was so mid tho. I think it’s fine for a one time watch, but why would I ever feel the need to watch it again when I could just watch the far better original.
Only stand out thing about the movie was the songs
My friends and I tried to watch it and turned it off after ~15 mins. I watched the whole thing the next day and hated it tbh
@@shannonceleste5557 understandable, I never wanna watch it again
Great video
I wonder if he knows the grammy award is only for music haha
Hell yeah
🙏🏽🙏🏽👻
I really enjoyed the first movie but the second one really did have a woke agenda just like all of their other recent remakes.
Wacky witches
What bothers me with movies now a days too is that when they cast a person of color they’re always light skinned or mixed almost never dark skinned
Gilbert was dark skinned
Not anymore it’s more dark skinned now you blind I hardly see much white people now so your wrong !.
@@Mr.EmeraldTheGreenfat comic relief ofc
Wacky Witches 🧙♀️
Just watched it for the first time. Not as good as the first movie by a long shot.
Will probably keep watching the first film for Halloween.
*The movie isn't that good because they are pushing that feminism agenda that men are creepy, weak, weird and annoying and woman are powerful and better the first Hocus Pocus was about boys and girls getting together taking down scary witches the new movie was making boys and men look bad and woman strong and powerful they couldn't even give the black guy a break he had to be a manipulator uugh i hated the way the movie ended the sister that didn't die should have been furious and changed into a real monster before she realized she couldn't go on without her sisters but hey what ya gonna do lol*
Yea they keep pushing feminism for no reason. Women are just as dumb as men. The main thing I didn’t like was the fact there wasn’t a brother and his sister like the original. Three girls of color who have a typical woke Disney style doesn’t cut it.
"it takes what you value most.."
The spell should've taken their youth and turn them old asf to the point where they brutally start decaying on the spot, to sort of keep the dark tone the original had
Powers meant to be shared where did they rip that off Shazam

Wacky witches 🧙
the absolute wackiest!! 🧙♀️🐈⬛ ty for making it all the way thru much luv
Love you
❤️❤️
Man wasup with movies these days. If you’re a man and white, in movies, then they’re portrayed as bafoons and moronic. If you’re black man/woman, then you’re a genius, funny, perfect in every way. Why is every movie so damn woke.
facts! makes me sad
As a person who loves writing, I don't have this mindset, don't worry, not everything is like this lmao
Disney “needs” that money
Disney is a shitshow
Wacckkkyyyyy witchesss
Is becca biological related to mother witch?
👋
🤞🏽🤞🏽
Woke Disney Sequel!!
Great review. Movie looks like complete garbage.
Movie sucks but i might get a roomba now as a precaution
yo i like this movie but just for fun i looked up hocus pocus 2 stupid because i see so many this is woke posts
Other than the Sanderson Sisters, there was zero continuity with the first movie and that would've made things better, IMO. This was garbage.
It was REALLY bad
I didn’t mind this movie. It had funny moments and honestly, it’s not like the first movie was incredibly well written. The first movie is like a parody and that makes it iconic. The first movie wasn’t spooky and neither is this one.
This movie is kinda dumb yeah but how is it "woke"?
Are you blind? Dumb down the white guy, make the girls overtly feminists, Salem Massachusetts is the most ethnically white city in America lmao, witches are a Nordic pagan invention.
Wacky Witches. I never watched either of the Hocus Pocus movies. Always looked kinda ridiculous to me.
That is the point you absolute weirdo
The first one is fun and worth the watch imo
This seems like a terrible movie Wth!!
I'm a millenials and had no idea those were roombas until he said...feel like that joke goes over almost every viewers head other than young gen Z....
Boo, roomba has been around since the early 2000s
No offense but the first one wasn't scary at all either, it was cheesy. I can think of several off the top of my head that are far more horrific. A Nightmare on Elm Street, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Jeepers Creepers, House of a thousand corpses, cannibal holocaust, The Shining, Last House on the left, Poltergeist all put this movie to shame on the scare factor. I'm watching it now, I enjoyed the first scene because at least here in America we have a fascist religious faction called the Christian right or more appropriately christofascists that want everyone living under laws based upon there faith and it definitely is an assault on that. Most people these days don't have the balls to come out and say that they believe everyone should have to subscribe to the Christian fascist ideology so they have to attack any form of art that chastises or condemns that propaganda. I built an entire fantasy world and based the history of the country my main character is from upon the history of America. Its a work in progress but it severely critiques capitalism, imperialism, government that has been hijacked by a corporate elite that is so hellbent on driving up profit margins for less than 3% of the population that the rest have to be enslaved, indentured to loan sharks, or forced into the military to aid in the acquisition of resources from colonies they have in less developed regions. I'm also heavily critiquing the class system of America but the way I built the military complex of country my main character is from. Basically even though it is mainly for the purposes of entertainment it has some depth, the plot isn't completely devoid of any meaning.
I don’t think Hocus Pocus was supposed to be scary, like a fun movie like Halloween town.
@@nintendoughnativesit’s a classic
That’s why it’s good
I ain’t reading all that
Jeepers creepers isn’t scary wtf are u on about
Blah blah blah blah blah.
The commercial for this crap movie say that it’s better than the original movie. The disrespect
Yeahhh there's no way those reviews are real lol
Nah nah nah there's no freaking way someone would say that; I, for one, completely ghosted the sequel and just watched the original over and over...I refuse to believe someone said that lmfao
Agreed with every critique about these whacky witches! I loved the first movie, the second one was campy but no where near as good.
