I had the pleasure of playing this piece live with her in Heidelberg, Germany in the summer of '96. She absolutely blew me away. What was amazing--more so in that performance than in this recording--was her ability to make the piece sound like she was improvising it, like she was making it up as she went along in acts of pure genius. I will never forget that experience playing with her (and I must confess I thought she was cute, too!).

I got to play with her playing this piece in Heidelberg, Germany in 1996. What a wonderful recording. Both orchestra and clarinet are moving in such unity. Ms Kam's tone and expression along with her interpretation are masterful. And what a technique. Absolutely perfect in every way. Beautiful ... Exciting and completely enjoyable from beginning to end. Classical Jazz ... Tremendous !!!
