people outraged/upset over a movie but carefree/indifferent about kids being bombed in real life. Never heard an actor make a more valid point in an interview.
This man deserves an oscar nom at least for this character. Say what you want about the content of the film, his performance was brilliant. He really became a different person, and embraced a truly dark corner of his soul to play Jack. Of course, he won't get any recognition because of how controversial it is, but he deserves it.
Also if anyone wants to know about the duckling scene - The child actor was instructed to hold a pair of prop legs against the backside of the duck. You can see the duck is actually facing away from the camera but has been called to turn it's head, giving the illusion that it is facing the other direction and that the fake legs pinched between the boys fingers are oriented correctly. Absolutely genius SFX work.
but how did they make it swim so weirdly? Such grown ducklings don't swim so goofily...maybe they tied one of its leg and then just let it go in the water?
