HiFive has been through so much. Roderick 'Pooh' Clark's death this week is incredibly sad. My personal favorite has always been Treston Irby and his strong bass and powerful presence in belting out "I can't wait another minute." I'm glad the group has revamped and is still going strong. There have been several versions of the iconic Temptations, with multiple lead singers. I pray that HiFive will continue to grow stronger and blessed. May God cover you and keep you safe.

I loved hi five I could listen to them all day I admire them I loved tony he was the key to the group and had a amazing voice and treston I loved his voice to when him and Tony came together it's like magic and the other guys I loved there voices also one of the best groups of the 80s & 90s they are my idol's and some day I look forward to working with them.

I respectfully disagree. That's not Treston's voice on "I Can't Wait Another Minute", that's Toriano Easley. Toriano went to prison shortly after the first album was released, and that's why Treston was brought in. Treston sings the song live, but his voice isn't on any of those original albums from 1990 to 1993. Tony was the member that carried that group and held it together. Think of it this way....nobody had any interest in signing the group after Tony went solo. That's how important he was. Treston was about as disposable as the other members that were replaced throughout the group's history. This is not a knock against Treston, just the truth...

Treston knew Teddy Riley but never worked with Teddy Riley. Teddy only produced the first album by Hi 5. Toriano Easley worked with Teddy Riley. It was Toriano Easley who was the other lead singer and original member plus he could sing. He was a great compliment to Tony. It's his voice on "I can't wait another minute ". Unfortunately he got arrested for murder before the first album came out. Toriano did the video to the first single "I Just Can't Handle It". Had Toriano not got into trouble, Hi 5 would have been just as big as the New Edition. Toriano had the voice to perfectly compliment Little Tony Thompson. If you listen to the first Hi 5 album its Toriano singing and he is doing a great job complimenting Tony. All the other albums it's just Tony. Treston was a nice replacement for Toriano because he was a leader and was important in keeping the group going. However Treston was never a featured singer on any of Hi 5's hits it was all Tony.

As far as Treston goes, he's been with the group since they released "I Like The Way (The Kissing Game)". That was his first music video with the group, so he's been there with them ALMOST since the very beginning. The only video Toriano was in was the very first one "I Just Can't Handle It." Toriano was out before the group even blew up unfortunately.

I can't believe Treston, Marcus, and Russell sued Tony over the name. He WAS Hi-Five basically. Pooh, Marcus, and Russell were basically useless vocally. They were good dancers and had a nice blending look for image but that was it. Tony sang all the leads like 98% of them which the producers made clear was their direction for song material. Marcus and Shannon seem like real nice guys though. I've exchanged comments with them on IG before but still. Anyway, they sound totally different than from the hey day and honestly, Treston to me sounds nowhere near as good as Toriano did even though he has a similar range. Though I see what y'all are saying about him talkin like he was an original member, i feel he HAS, although, been with the group long enough to speak on their history though. Just sayin.....

As far as Treston goes, he's been with the group since they released "I Like The Way (The Kissing Game)". That was his first music video with the group, so he's been there with them ALMOST since the very beginning. The only video Toriano was in was the very first one "I Just Can't Handle It." Toriano was out before the group even blew up unfortunately.

I could see Hi-Five doing this again by keeping Tony's Legacy alive with only the past members. Give the fans what they are used to. Treston Irby, Marcus Sanders, Shannon Gill, Terrence Murphy and Toriano Easley. I believe Toriano in Tony's replacement could've saved this group, he was co-lead on most of the songs on their debut album and could've went solo as well had that situation would not have happened.

Treston is the fu*** worst, all he ever did was try to upstage Tony. Every performance I ever saw he was always trying to be out in front. He could never compete with Tony, Tony had an amazing voice, was a fantastic dancer, and was so fine. Treston was a talentless, arrogant hater. It was so obvious he was jealous of Tony. I felt sorry for Tony, the pressure of having to carry the whole group alone probably contributed to his drug problem. Rest in peace Tony, you will forever have fans that love you and appreciate your music. God bless you lil T.
