    I think he gave a perfect answer on the Sinner's case, a lot of people suddenly improvise as lawyers and scientists while Carlos basically said he doesn't know enough, so if 'they' (I guess he means the anti doping agency, their experts and lawyers) allow him to play there must be a reason. Great maturity.

Let's see about his total tally, he certainly has the potential, but other players will come up and challenge him, he needs to stay healthy, etc. In general i think homogenizing the surfaces has made it easier for players to collect a lot of GS titles now. But he hasn't shown Novak's consistency and precision yet, these will become important factors once he gets 30.

      @@sa21de Carlos doesn’t have to defend Sinner, as Sinner won the appeal. The ATP is the players’ union and why would they bend the rules for one player over the others? If the players felt that is what is happening, do you think they would be silent and let doping rules be bent for one player? Besides the indirect way the substance was transferred to Sinner by contact with his trainer, who had it on his hands to treat a cut finger (the substance is an ingredient in an over-the-counter medication sold in Italy), the level of the substance in Sinner’s system was below the level deemed to be performance enhancing. Under the rules, even though Sinner won the appeal, he loses ranking pounts and prize money for the Indian Wells event, which is where he was tested.

    Will there be spontaneous drug test on the players after the Sinner doping testing 2 times positive?

    • @dorothygale1104
      @dorothygale1104 4 месяца назад +1

      Nope. The testing system is not at all spontaneous, as the test Sinner tested positive for were taken at the Indian Wells event back in March. The test does not give an immediate result as it has to be analyzed at a lab where they do individual tests for all the banned substances. So, if there are, say, 100 banned substances the sample taken from the player undergoes 100 individual tests for each banned substance. There is no such thing as a single test that would detect all banned substances at once. So, testing for all the banned substances takes time just to get a result. So, even if they tested every player today, the results would not be known for a while. In Sinner’s case, when he was notified of testing positive he immediately appealed and it was ultimately determined that the substance Sinner tested positive for was due to transfer from Sinner’s trainer, who had used an over-the-counter cream medication sold in Italy on a finger cut. The substance was transferred to Sinner when the trainer was treating sores on Sinner’s feet. The level of the substance in Sinner’s system when he was tested was determined to be below the level which is considered performance enhancing. Because the banned substance is an ingredient in over-the-counter medications sold in Italy, that country has had many athletes test positive for that substance via transfer from contact with a trainer, etc. This is jst now coming out because under the rules the positive trst results can’t be revealed until the appeal process runs its course and a decision is made. Although Simner won the appeal, the rules call for him losing all ranking points for the tournamrnt where he was tested, as well as forgeiting prize money won at that event regardless of whether the player wins their appeal or not.
      Lastly, the ATP can’t unilaterally decide to change the trsting program, as any change would have to be negotiated eith the players’ union just like any other rule or procedure change would need union approval.

    Tony Nadal: "Mi colpisce che certi media invece di criticare le sanzioni sproporzionato inflitte in altre occasioni, chiedano ora una punizione simile per l’attuale numero uno del ranking ATP - scrive Nadal -. È sorprendente che ci sia gente sempre pronta a esprimere giudizi e, soprattutto, condannare gli altri senza avere una conoscenza completa di ogni caso. E mi sorprende ancora di più che proprio all’interno del circuito tennistico, alcuni suoi colleghi siano quelli che si sono schierati contro di lui. Non comprendo come alcuni di loro, tennisti che con tutta probabilità si saranno allenati con lui o lo avranno affrontato come avversario e che conoscono perfettamente il rigido controllo". Intanto invece di parlare di cose che non sai pensa a recuperare, se ci riesci, dall'infortunio. In secondo luogo non sei un buon esempio perché spacchi solo racchette quando giochi, in terzo luogo pensa alle tue "cosse" sospette e non ficcare il naso in faccende altrui che non conosci ok?
