He smiles a lot, trying new techniques on court and his game play is intriguing. Only 21 now and he matures very well. His English improves very much. McEnroe is a tremendous commentator and interviewer. But is it just me, or Kyrgios is also showing a lot of talent as a commentator, very engaging and articulate.
I totally agree that Nick Kyrgios is a great commentator as is Chris Eubanks. I wish ESPN would employ Paul Annecone who I think is one of the very best. McEnroe is great except when he seems to get great pleasure by player’s unfortunately, like when they are losing badly or other shortcomings, like their height. Sorry for the pun. It is in moments like that that McEnroe seems mean-spirited at some core level. Yes, he’s a legend and has great insights without over talking like some of them, but wish he could control his propensity towards being unkind.
