Eddie is the living embodiment of being the example you wish to see. Combine that with tenacity and compassion, and she will be a remarkable political force for good in the world. Thank you, Eddie.
Wonderful interview! I first learned of Eddie Izzard 15 years ago through her Star Wars Canteen parody vía RUclips. So brilliant! I’ve been a fan since, and she keeps raising the bar. ❤
Me too! I saw the lego-animation of the Star Wars Canteen parody before I ever saw Eddie Izzard doing that stand-up routine. Talk about your complex collaborations.
Eddie is a him not a her, a very confused him but he is still a man.
@@themanwithnoname8471 Eddie has affirmed to be gender fluid and to be in boy and in girl periods. In 2020, Eddie asked to be addressed with she/her pronouns, and in 2023 that her name would be Suzy Eddie Izzard. She does not sound confused, but very clear and comfortable in her gender fluidity
Wonderful, wonderdul human being!
You go Eddie!
You would be a great politician; someone actually trying to improve people’s lives.
i have been a huge admirer o' Eddie for years. without doubt one o' the best comedians o' this (or any) generation - not to mention she's an accomplished marathoner ! how many more languages will she learn just to make sure the comedy is well understood to audiences ? if we had more political candidates like Eddie, maybe politics would again start making sense. truly an amazing human(e) being and an inspiration...
What a lovely interview with a truly lovely, real person. Thank you Amanpour & Co.
She is just one of the best comedians and human beings ever!
world class, very inspiring. "Dressed to Kill' has to be in the top three stand up routines in history.
Thank you for interviewing Eddie Izard, he is such a delight to watch and has a beautiful heart. I love him/her! ❤❤
*she
He is a she.
So do I ….what a wonderful human being he is xxx
She/her
She has said that currently she prefers ‘she’, but she doesn’t mind being called he either, as he has boy mode and girl mode. He just is, she doesn’t have any hangups about pronouns.
Dearest Eddie, you are loved more than you think 💜🌹😊
❤ Eddie!
I love Eddie! I listened to her read the audiobook of Great Expectations, and it was delightful. Joe freaking killed me.
Thanks for interviewing Eddie. She is a wonderful person.
It's a man not a woman don't get fouled by him
What a wonderful person. Eddie for Prime Minister! The only one with intelligence, wisdom, integrity and vision.
Love Eddie- a brilliant, energetic, intelligent, tenacious performer
Eddie Izzard - an uncommon-genius in the arts and a great human being !!! Kudos on the risks you take everywhere in your life - the world needs you, right now, more than ever. Keep on Truckin' my friend.
I can't believe some people don't consider Eddie an activist. I think she is the absolute best kind of activist and peloton 💝
Eddie Izzard is an absolute treasure !
Eddie... been watching you perform on TV and in movies for years. Just surviving that long in the entertainment biz will make you a great candidate for public office.
I've been a fan for years and was lucky enough to see Great Expectations. Love Eddie!!
Eddie Izzard is an excellent example of a good human being. Her gender is secondary to her humanity. She is admirable. I love her energy, her enthusiasm and her courage.
Eddie is just amazing and inspirational
I enjoy the fact that Eddie has studied, and continues to study, the human condition on the world stage. Many of us study on the small stage in our personal lives and I find myself doing that - but not on Eddie’s massive scale. It takes balls, and/or ovaries, to do that. I have huge respect for his tenacity and humor❣️
Eddie is brilliant she would be fantastic in the house of commons
He would be great he.s still got a c...
@@raymondvaughan6262Eddie doesn’t mind being called he, so this isn’t the insult you think it is.
So much energy and charm. She is gorgeous.
What a mind such an amazing soul
Fascinating amalgamation of talent...
What an extraordinary brilliant talented persistent ...absolutely wonderful human being, Eddie is.
There are frankly not enough adjectives to discribe what I feel about what Eddie Izzard has achieved.
Happy upgrade to us both, I'm on the 6th, Eddie on the 7th. 🥳🎉🎉✨✨✨✨🌟🌟
I love Eddie!
Like me, Eddie is a lifelong Crystal Palace fan, proud of you mate, he would be on my 5 people to invite for dinner
It sounds amazing reminds me of something Robin Williams would play. I saw two adaptations in the theater. I wish I could go see her show. She looks beautiful, love her two tone hair too the colors go so well with her skin tone💐
Eddie's funny and smart at any age.
Haha what a character. Go, go, go Eddie.
Where can I see that performance?!! I now have a hole in my life that won't be filled until I see Eddie Izzard's Great Expectations.
How I would love to see this piece.
Love, love, love Eddie! ❤️ You’re a great comedian and actor and I worship you!
SIMPLY THE BEST, BETTER THAN ALL THE REST! A CAREER (AND INTELLECT) LIKE NO OTHER. ❤
I love Eddie. The best!
I'm not familiar with her acting and comedic work, but it is very uplifting to see a fellow trans person who is apparently so very well adapted and seemingly living to her full potential. I too have always enjoyed running... well, perhaps jogging... but I'm not sure i have quite as much in that determination gene. When I'm running and I get too tired I walk for a while... I don't think I could ever do a marathon.
Oh, you're in for a treat! She is a wonderful comic, and a lot of her work is here on YT. Search for her name + 'Death Star canteen' (both the original and the Lego version), and 'Cake or Death', just for starters, and go on from there. I think you'll love it.
Eddie for PM
😍
I'm so happy this can be unleashed.
Really respect Eddie Izzard ... I wish the trans activists today presented themselves and also represented the Eddie Izzard's of the world but they dont.
Treat yourself and watch Eddie in The Ritche$!
I've never even heard of it, so thanks for the recommendation! I'd watch anything Eddie is in, she's fabulous!
@@cherylalt101 Eddie plays the dad! 😂 and Minnie Driver plays his wife. It’s a dramedy.
I see those eggs in a bowl sitting out on her counter and every fiber of my being is screaming GET THOSE EGGS BACK IN THE FRIDGE!!! And then I remember she lives I the UK
That struck me as funny. But it is amazing how many Americans don't even know that eggs straight out of the chicken don't need to be refrigerated. You only have to do that if they're stored that way for shipping.
I saw the eggs too and thought it looked like a whole lot of eggs lol and they weren't refrigerated. I'm an American living in Vienna and I never knew why we were refrigerating them lol. I'm 66 and knew there were times when I was younger that eggs didn't come from the fridge. The beauty of the Internet strikes again... Learning new things every day. Have a good weekend!
And really great interview. I remember Eddie's HBO Special decades ago, absolutely wonderful show!
that's a lot of eggs next to that sink
Those are plastic snowballs, not eggs (!)
@@jackiegreen7051 oh. Looked like eggs to me. Who has plastic snowballs
And people say women can't be funny; just look at the success Eddie has had over the decades. Truly one of the greatest female comedians of our generation.
That's a dude.
Your insistence on calling her one of the greatest female comedians sounds like you don’t understand anything about trans pride. FYI Eddie is not a female comedian, go ask her and get back to me.
😊
Staggering talent, an absolute genius comedian and wonderful person. Inspiring.
He is such a great example of how smart dyslexic people really are. They get such a bad rap.
She
@@dustythelonerangerShe prefers she but doesn’t mind being called he. She is genderfluid so isn’t that hung up about pronouns.
I still think she looks better in slingbacks.
She looks a lot like Tony Curtis.
Some folks won't understand that reference.
Weird.
How to get noticed if not funny sorry his live shows don't no what he.s on about half the time don't think he does
Not weird, just different than most. Everyone’s weird, if they speak authentically for ten minutes.
@@raymondvaughan6262 Eddie has been trans for decades, also noticed and appreciated for decades. Under a rock perhaps?
@@healthyfreesoul I bet YOU are.
Why is this guy wearing lipstick? A bit strange if you ask me.
Eddie for Prime Minister!
No Eddie ....we've really all had enough of you mate. Get help and please just stay out of the public eye. Thanks x
It's, I have; not we've all. You are speaking for yourself. Maybe concentrate on your own life and come back when you've done a fraction as much with it.
🤣🙃😎
LOLA LA LA LA LA LOLA !!!!
I AIN'T DUMB BUT I CAN'T UNDERSTAND
WHY HE WALKS LIKE A WOMAN BUT TALKS LIKE A MAN....
