I've had plantar fasciiitis... its no joke.. I had a job cleaning floors in a grocery store.. after walking 4.5 miles, up and down aisles every night I couldn't walk after I got home.. the pain was worse when I wasn't moving vs moving.. it was almost like the ligament was trying to fold in on its self.. had to crawl around my house.. or use the electric old people carts to shop.. it was a horrid 6 months.. I hope you feel better Norton..
I get attacks of gout, so I know what it's like to have pain like Norton's experiencing. I take medication for it now (Allopurinol), but before I got on that I had a severe case that caused damage to my left ankle. I get pain in it every so often now due to the damage. Hope you're feeling better soon, Norton.
Man, achilles tendinitis is absolutely no joke..I feel for you man. No one understands how painful it is until they experience it. Great content lately boys! Loving it!
Driving through Birmingham a couple of weeks ago, I saw a person wearing a Hell on Earth hoodie, I shouted 'Snake' out my window, and they stamped on the ground.
The tower is a water tower, you can see the pipes. It would have provided the pressure to power the hydraulics which would have opened the huge dry Dock gates that you walked across. Great explore as always, anything near water is always going to be the best 👌
I use to have plantar fasciitis, it bloody hurts so much, was due to walking on hard surfaces at work. It took a year to get rid of it. Ya poor bastard Norton. This is St Andrews Dock, but there are or used to be a lot more docks in Hull that stretches nearly 15km along the north bank of the Humber estuary, including the following : 1) Queens Dock/Princes Dock/Humber Dock/Railway Dock in the city centre, which were the first to be built from the 1780's to the 1820's (I think). Humber Dock and Railway Dock are now used by private leisure boats and motor cruisers and sailing yachts etc. 2) Albert Dock/William Wright Dock/St Andrews Dock are all in western Hull, they were used mainly the deep sea Arctic fishing vessels and smaller cargo ships. (The Arctic trawlers are much bigger than the inshore fishing boats that people imagine, they were 150'-250' feet long and had 20-30 crew members each, and at one point in the 1950's up to 200-300 individual vessels were owned by local companies). 3) Victoria Dock/Alexandra Dock/King George V Dock/Queen Elizabeth II Dock are all in eastern Hull, mostly used by bigger cargo ships operating worldwide. There is also the Saltend Petrochemical jetties, the Riverside Quay and the River Ferry Terminal. About 6/7 of them are still used but the rest are a park, a modern housing estate, 2 retail park/centres, office blocks (The World Trade Centre - Humber... believe it or not.. haha) Just a bit of background info for anyone interested. Ps, I knew that a lot of fishermen and seamen had died but I didn't know that 6,000 from one single city were lost at sea, I think that the 6,000 lost fishermen were lost over a century and half.
