I feel so bad for the people who died, and mostly for the kid bc the kid died really early😢
True. There’s a lot of beauty in life that that poor child will never experience.
There’s also a lot of ugliness in life that that child will never have to cope with.
I feel worse for the parents of both of the dead
I know...I can feel their pain and it hurts...like if I lost someone close as well...so I weep with the family, and Im sure so many are also weeping for that child.

Yes, it was in the news. The driver's name is Geraldo 'Jerry' Hernandez. The pump truck is registered to FMJ pumping, a single-truck outfit.
Such a tragedy 😢 praying for the 2 peoples family that lost a loved one. And for all the ones that were Injured. So 😔

Just curious they said there was 11 adults in the bus? I didn’t know they allowed other people besides students I’m sure the teacher was on there but who were they? I know parents aren’t allowed to travel on buses?
If there is a trip schools let parents apply as a helpers during the trip, they have to apply and school do some research and then parents can go in the bus on those field trips, I live in Tx and whenever my daughter has a field trip they send the letter so parents can apply

Gov. Abbott needs to come clean and, on behalf of the Texas legislature, assume partial responsibility for this crash. Why?? Because Texas law allows greatly extended hours of service for cement haulers.
While the admitted drug use by the truckdriver is what the focus is on, I blame lack of sleep as the primary culprit for this tragedy.
Minimum charges should be 2 counts manslaughter, and however many other children they were on the bus should each count for reckless endangerment of a child (i.e. 20 children=20 counts) ... and if it is proven he was on his phone or under the influence then increase the penalties.... and the 3 that were shown in the bus camera footage, released by Austin American Statesman, driving past without stopping should also go to jail and lose their license for at least 5 yrs after release.... the reporter says something about fault for the many accidents on that highway, just remember that it is not the highway design, it is 100% on the drivers....

No they do not
@@foltzenlogel that really needs to change. They also need so type of airbag system in place.
The district has 200 buses. 2017 and newer have to have belts. There are forty of them.
@@shelbynamels973 School buses never had seat belts when I was growing up but you would think by now they would of put in better safety features on school buses. My kids were all home schooled

there were two cranes pulling the truck from the ditch ..

Save your sympathy, Governor Abbott.
These children, who could not even read the name of the bus in which they rode, on the side of the bus; were recklessly
endangered in a criminal manner, but the government including TXDOT and Hays CISD school board of trustees, and the Texas Legislature,
all have unfounded
sovereign immunity.
The Gov and the TX legislature should be co-defendants in any liability case from this crash. They allowed the exemption from US hours of service laws that, according to one station reporting, makes it possible for drivers to be on the job during a pour for almost 24 hours.
