Funny how the police lose the guns but make ads blaming the public FOR NOT LOCKING THEIRS. Typical.

Meanwhile they infringe upon our Second Amendment, claiming we are not fit to be armed.

I don't understand why you would leave a gun inside your car? Am I missing something? I just don't think it makes sense to leave a loaded or unloaded gun in your car. I think that's just not responsible, especially with all the violence we are all experiencing.

UNACCEPTABLE! And that's just here. Now do the math for across the country, and these are just the "trained" people not securing their firearms. This is a MAJOR problem in this country, imo.

Remind " people" how about you remind the police and the state employees that got the guns lost and stolen. If my gun gets stolen and i dont report it fast enough i ho to jail, but a coo can loose a a gun and not face any charges. May why arent the cops keeping thwir guns safe.

anyone who would know i need to ask what is the possibility in Texas that a citizen who own a firearm that unfortunately used it for self harm and it was confiscated by police to retrieve it back if they have no warrants committed no crimes or any wrongdoing? Would they keep it based on just the fact he committed self harm with the firearm and also if he tries to purchase another one will he be in the system during the background check to be denied ability to purchase a firearm?
I ask because my other half wants to go back to work during armed security and of course without being armed she can't do that until she gets her firearm back.

They’re not being “Stolen”.. They’re being taken home by the cops themselves. What makes you think someone can just walk into an evidence room and take one?

The reporter doesn't know guns. 357 SIG is a caliber not a model of SIG SAUER guns. Also the paper work says 9mm so 357 SIG shouldn't even been mentioned. Also, I spent 3 days training with DPS at their facility. Those guys carry SIG P320s and P365s as backups. I know this cause with all the issues of self-firing P320s I made a few jokes to those Troopers and it became a conversation
