- Cleveland Police shut down a portion of Interstate 90 Monday afternoon for a crash involving a garbage truck and another vehicle that left a 7-year-old and 16-year-old dead.
Prayers for those children and their family.
people cut me off everyday u cant stop a large truck like a little car people should give us room to work the roads
No! We need to ban trucks from the road when people are trying get around. Trucks should only be allowed to operate on the highways from 8pm-5am. They are dangerous. We need to haul via trains and get those things off the roads. If you can't stop fast, then your load should be on the train.

I drive semis, is there any dash cam footage??? I get cut off 40 times a day... I just went under a mile to were i drop my trailer to the meijer and was cut off 2 times....people dont drive very well around trucks and from what i was reading the car caused it.
Yes I hear buddy, my boyfriend comes home and complains on a daily basis of getting cut off. He drives a huge dump truck that is as big as a semi and he says people will constantly cut him off because you know obviously those folks are going to a much more important destination than he is. He gets so mad but can't do anything about it.
@@lesliebrown7478 I used to drive dump trucks too when I got laid off from the railway, they were harder to drive then most 53 foot trailers.
Not saying this is what happened, but too many cars on 90 lately are driving like it's a video game, cutting over multiple lanes at the last minute causing others to slam on their breaks. People need to learn to drive.

My friend an amazing mother lost 2 of her beautiful children in this accident. Please keep the negative comments to yourself!!! She’s grieving and mourning the loss of her children!!! @Jleed989 Trooper Valdez was killed on I-90 at the ml.168, but he would be standing out there in the hammer Lane at rush hour. Extremely dangerous, he would point at cars, and they would come too dead stop at 68 mph, On the freeway. I honestly believe that section of freeway from Cleveland to Amherst scares them.

The car cutting over multiple lanes gets in front of truck takes up his space and then had to stop ,truck driver not to blame !

Way to blame people with no knowledge of what happened. Turns out the car was having mechanical issues, flashers were on and they were trying to get over when the truck slammed into them before they had a chance.
It’s actually been reported that the car had an issue and had its 4-ways on. Was trying to get over for some time, and the garbage truck rear ended it, which was passing other vehicles before the accident happened.
That is sad
that truck was probably full at that time of day, and a truck that heavy can not stop very fast, looking at the damage to the car it must have been stopped or going very slow, looks like the truck driver did everything possible, I am thinking a mechanical failure on the car, looks like they were going to the right side to get off the road, but you need to give trucks space, they can not turn or stop as fast as a car
A heavy truck can stop faster than a empty truck it say it in the CDL book.

And how many garbage trucks have you seen that are in perfect mechanical condition? They’re overweight, the tyres are usually worn, brakes rarely adjusted.
Kimble really does take care of the trucks, I have done natural gas conversions for them no bald tires on that truck and the skid marks prove the brakes were working@@jaysmith1408

Keep saying trying to stop..skid marks dont mean anything..in the wrong lane..car may have had problems headed for the shoulder..but no facts..however you taking up for the truck..truck may have had a wheel lock up..try to be unbiased till the facts are in..

If you don't want this to happen to you make sure the curb weight of your automobile not truck but your automobile is over 5,000 lb if it's not it's not safe for use on the road. Just because they build it and sell it to you to drive doesn't mean that it's safe to drive.

Did the sixteen year old girl have a drivers license.? Plus I thought there was a law that new drivers were not allowed to have more than one friend in the car for a period of time. Plus why was a sixteen year old have access to keys to a car. My kid was not allowed to drive by herself for a while after my kid passed the test to get a licenses

The cars was having issues and the truck slammed into the back of it. It wasn't the teenagers fault at all.
My parents taught us that while we were starting to learn how to drive, the car started acting strange to get to the shoulder of the road. Plus, until we develop good skills, stay in the right lane.

I blame it on law-enforcement they not doing their job on speed. We need to get the speed in control. All states people are in the rush for no reason only it does is killing people are hurting people. We need to break down on this speed fast.
Much of the interstate was designed and built in the 50s and 60s, for Lower Traffic Volumes (ADT Average Daily traffic count). Small fixes like pavement repair and new Bridge decks do not make a new road- lipstick on a pig. 60 years later the interstate is over capacity and needs to be redesigned & rebuilt. Don't blame the cops, maybe blame the do nothing Government (2016-2020) for Zero infrastructure investments.

That's why the trucks need to drive slower so they don't have to worry about slamming their brakes on to miss somebody and with the skid marks that were on that that they said they had that truck was hauling but it's the truck stopped
