I want details from the parents before I judge. I had a 7 yr old cousin that did something similar. His parents were fighting and he heard one of them say they have no time to do fun stuff in the morning because they got a kid to feed and take to school ect. He decided he was gonna help his parent by being a big boy and walk the mile to school by himself to give them time to have fun. He had no idea it was that kinda fun yet. He changed his dads alarm clock, left a note for his parents so they wouldn’t worry and snuck out. Well he did get to school and it was a safe route but his parents missed the note and called the police for a kidnapping. The police called the school and confirmed he was there so his parents went to get him. The whole family had a big come to Jesus moment and they were a better family after that. Nothing like the terror of possibly losing your child to make you analyze your life.
We got those for my youngest brother and he would just pop them off the door handle. Some kids are really difficult to baby proof because people underestimate how smart they can be at escaping. I noticed an apartment with more toys out front so I took a chance and knocked. It was about 1 am and the parents showed me the door he must have used. There were no charges filed because I saw no negligence. I informed them that if it happened again, they would definitely have to answer for it, because better locks will stop him from wandering. He was 3 years old.

Similar story happened to me: During Covid after 2am I was on my way to scrub an ER vet clinic when a small child stepped out from the darkness into my lane. If it wasn’t for her Frozen bright blue PJs I wouldn’t have seen her. I swerved and hit the brakes I looked behind me and I didn’t see her. I get out the SUV and see her running barefoot towards a busy intersection. Lots of nice bars are on this street we were on. I see 2 sports cars lined up gunning it a towards the intersection from about 1/4 mile away and I run as fast as I can screaming waving my arms in the air as I’m praying I reach this girl before she gets hit…the corvette saw me and started hitting their brakes then swerves to the other lane and keeps going. I ask the girl “can I pick you up” and she turns around I notice she has Down syndrome. I pick her up and run towards a gate guard post outside of a neighborhood. I told him to call the cops. As he did I did a quick visual check on the little girl for any blood. She was just dirty and barefoot. The cops are on their way so I left the girl with the gate guard and went to work. THEN as I pull into the Vet clinic I get a call from the PD and they want me to come back. The girl was missing for a few hours. She wandered out of her house. The cops gave me a report to show my boss why I was late and then the cops said I should apply to work there instead lol the parents didn’t even bother to stay to thank me kinda bothers me neither parent wanted to thank me personally or see who the stranger was who picked their kid up.
Not only was this man's reaction time lightening speed, somehow the lane beside him was empty so he was able to swerve partially into it. This man had God's hand on him, to save that child.

This is why its SO IMPORTANT to put the phones down and watch the road!! God bless him!!❤
I cried watching this, the tears just came. Thank God he wasn't hit!
💯
Gigantic Miracle for sure 😢 Thank GOD for Angels 😇
and this man’s angels were in his presence, too! Praise God - miracles do happen!
Where are the miracles for all the children that do get hit by cars, or have cancer etc.?
@@jmazz1127 Ecclesiastes 3 “There is an occasion for everything and a time for every activity under heaven: A time to be born and a time to die…”. And if the child had been killed his angels would have taken him to heaven. Life is a mystery for man but its end is known from the beginning with God. About 80 minutes from now is my son’s birthday (April 4). He would have been 43. We lost him 22 years ago at age 21 and his angels also took him home. This is the only peace one can have knowing they are in a better place with the pain and suffering (physical, mental, emotional) over with. The lies, deceit, jealousy, deception, betrayal in this sinful world are beyond reach there and someday it will be the same for us. (A “friend’s” jealousy prompted him to ambush and kill my son and though I miss him every day, I know where he is and that we will be reunited soon). Losing a child is something one gets through but never over but for an innocent child or a son or daughter who believes in Jesus, has repented to live by His example being baptized in the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, their angels will have carried them home. May whatever questions or doubts you have be answered through the Word of God. There isn’t much time left - may I recommend watching John MacArthur’s “When God Abandons a Nation” but there are many others which will give one hope, peace, and comfort! God bless …..
I just knew there would be a jerk under your comment...
@@jmazz1127 We are all miracles just by being born. God created *_you_* so what have *_you_* done to help those children and be a miracle to them? Donate? Volunteer time?
@jmazz1127 was there time to come home to the lord. Obviously, the lord has plans for this boy. We are all here for a reason. Even if it's bad that turns into good.
Where were parents?
Not watching their kid and letting him walk in traffic. They need to be arrested on child endangerment and negligence.
The story indicates the mom had called 911 to report the child missing. Exactly how the child got out is unclear but mom had noticed and called to report it as soon as she noticed. Given how early in the morning this was, it wouldn't surprise me if the child had slipped out before mom woke up.
At a lawyers office working on a case to sue the truck driver for terrorizing the kid.
You mean the single mom? Saying parents indicates there is a father in the home which we all know there isn't.
On meth
Wow, his reflexes are amazing. Praise God.
I don't have those eyes and neither those reflexes, thank God the kid is ok.
Thank You God...
HOW did he manage that smooth maneuver with so little warning?! Thank God! Thank you for paying attention, you blessed man.
WOW awesome job driver you are a miracle worker God Bless you
It was that little boy’s guardian angel that saved him.
That happened so fast, I am shocked he was able to see him and react so fast. Amazing!
Where are the parents? They need to be charged. WTF!
Did you watch to the end? They said the mom called 911 to report him missing.
@@brendangranger3684 I saw the whole thing. But how do you not know where your child is idiot? At that time of morning, gtfoh....

That was a miracle from God. I hope this man and his son meet this little guy.💜
Crazy story, that driver is amazing
First, he's an excellent driver. Second, sorry you had to go through that.
May God richly blessed all of you all in Jesus name hallelujah 🙏🏼💖🙏🏼
Someone must have been praying because he made it by the graces of God.
No, someone was paying attention while they were driving, and had an excellent reaction time.
Oh yeah did you trust the science on that one big man? You got all the answers?
Amen
Probably the mom since she had already called 911.
@@BigDan12easy way out for not having answers is giving credit to fiction.
Child proof door knob covers are so important!!! I hope this mom gets some ASAP. . Little kids wonder off so easily.
We got those for my youngest brother and he would just pop them off the door handle.
Some kids are really difficult to baby proof because people underestimate how smart they can be at escaping.
My 2yo niece knows how to use keys to unlock things and it's terrifying. All keys are put up high but it's only a matter of time until she figures out how to climb stuff to reach them.
Praise God! This is definitely a godly man. He gets to live with the best memory of devine intervention. I hope God answers his prsyer to meet this little boy.❤️
Whoopsies, it's "divine"
So why did God allow the child to be in the road in the first place?
He’s five years old ffs, i get that schedules are hard to manage but he’s crossing freeways alone in the dark. Get this boy’s home on the bus route.
Did you watch the whole video? The mother didn’t even know the kid had left the house. She called 911 about the same time as these men found him.
@@grumpyoldlady_rantsI had to rewrite my answer. You have to be a real crap parent to say 'ok' to your 5 year old saying he's going to walk to school.
@@grumpyoldlady_rants I listened to it, and the vid stated they had no time to take him to school so he had to walk!
He did not *have* to walk to school. He, as a 5 years old child, decided to walk because he believed they did not have time to take him to school.
Maybe the school was on the other side of the house by a field instead of the freaking highway....you don't know. I do.
IT'S A MIRACLE this guy saw child in 3 seconds & did not wreck his truck... demonstrates that GOD (Higher Power) is always watching and using good people to do the right thing... KUDO's ....🥰😃😃😃😃😃🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Incredible reaction time and reflexes! Absolutely miraculous!
That’s terrible where are the parents just yesterday and an old woman tried to cross the street what I did was parked my car block traffic sideways so I can let her across nobody would let her across people are demons thank God this man saw this little child
Its called being touched by an Angel
Good driving ole boy. God was on your side that day 🙏
This happened to me one night as I was on patrol. I top a hill and there’s a little guy on his riding toy in the middle of my lane. He was near some apartments so I looked for more toys.
No accounting for inexperienced parents, sometimes. It happens.
@@TheAginG420 For real, "oops, was an accident".. Just because they survived it that time doesn't mean it wasn't fucking child neglect.
The fact you was a cop and didn't take the proper actions to hold the parents accountable is crazy!!! So Glad your not a cop anymore. . People like you are the reason people get let out of jails when they need to be locked up. . .
@@chefhood The apartment was immaculate and the fridge was full. The parents were both crying and extremely grateful, loving on the child and I didn’t see any reason or justification to risk having the child put in an unknown place, subject to abuse of all kinds. It’s people like the ones whining, the ones who support zero tolerance with no common sense, who have helped ruin society. Let’s just expel little Johnny who left a muddy butter knife in his backpack from where he was digging in the yard the day before. Because we need zero tolerance with no thought to the outcome. None of you were there, I kept an eye on that family and the kids were flourishing and happy.

Good thing he had a dash cam to record this, everyone should have one, including myself.
where's the story about why the kid was on the road that early by himself
That would require the “journalist “ to do actual work.
It literally said that the kid said he was walking himself to school because his gma and mama had to work. It literally said that.

Similar story happened to me:
During Covid after 2am I was on my way to scrub an ER vet clinic when a small child stepped out from the darkness into my lane.
That man was put there to save that little guy. Anyone else behind him could've hit him. Angels were in place. ❤
Holy smokes! At first I was impressed.. After rewatching the video and hearing that he had a trailer!!! Damn good driver!!
Not only was this man's reaction time lightening speed, somehow the lane beside him was empty so he was able to swerve partially into it. This man had God's hand on him, to save that child.
My heart stopped. The boy and the driver definitely had angels surrounding them. I hope the driver and his son are doing well. I know it would take me a long while to overcome those emotions.
Amazing that he missed him. ❤️ glad all are okay. I bet mom was freaking out completely.
Absolutely amazing reflexes! So grateful he saved him! I’ve worked placing barrels on the freeway at night and have seen a barrel hit very close to me and it is terrifying.
How fast were they going? My goodness, praise the Lord!
Didn't look fast...it's a freaking highway.
This man is an excellent driver. This man and an angel saved the boys life.
This man’s awareness, reflexes and driving skills are stellar!! Lucky child for sure.
This is every parent's worst nightmare.
No it is not! Most parents would never let their child at 5 walk to school alone, and especially in not in the dark.
Not ĝood parents
@@UlrichW-mm8yz Most parents teach their children how to actually listen , which seems like your parents clearly didn’t with you. They didn’t send him off to school he decided on his own, mum was on the phone with 911 reporting him missing.
WHO is responsible for that 5 year old!? Where is the interview with the kids mom?
Found toddler on side of fast lane, I kept telling myself it's real it's real. Strange how upsetting it is even 50 years later. God is good and His timing is everything to me❤❤❤ Father Son Holy Spirit
Okay. So, this is why the mother or parents are not charged with a crime. The child was reported missing. I had my son escape our house and he was missing for 10 hours. The Kuwaiti police major wanted to toss me in jail for child neglect, but gave me a strong ⚠️ warning only because we called in our missing son. Needless to say, I added an additional lock to our front door the next day.
Because the mother reported him missing as you did

That is a miracle, no way can you react that quickly in the dark

Wow. Thank you for not being a tiny bit distracted that morning. A glance in the rear view mirror is all it would have taken for this to be a different headline.
That's insane, considering not only did the truck miss him, the trailer didn't swing sideways and clip him anyway. Incredible

Swerving like that when you're hitched up to 5 tons of trailer is DANGEROUS and can be difficult to recover. He obviously had his load well balanced and tied down, and good reflexes from experience towing heavy like that.
