Loved the tutorial! It worked perfectly, my striped pastel crop top is gonna look great! For the taller girlies like me (177cm) be sure to make the angle of both halves a little bit wider, maybe adding two stitches at the first two spots by the time you're reaching the end of the triangle... just so it'll cover your entire torso ❤
I just started and got half done in just a few hours. I can't wait to do the second half. I'm doing mine multi color. One half pink and the other half purple. I can't wait to see results
I've been looking for a tutorial on how to make Harlem pants and while making this sweater (BEAUTIFUL, btw!) I finally figured it out. So thank you so very much! Got a lovely sweater and a pattern for Harlem pants out of this one video!

Gorgeous pattern. I just finished mine and ended up loving the result 😍 I did do some modifications since I was working with a slightly larger hook (5.00 mm). I did the body of mine in a light green and did the cuffs and hem in a darker green like this one; also did dark green edge on the neck by switching colors for the last few rows on the body piece. Had so much fun with this! Thank you for this lovely tutorial
@@animeviewer2 I used 1 Caron One Pound skein (812 yards) for the body. For the cuffs and trim it's a little harder to tell because I was trying to use up leftover yarn from something else but ended up getting another skein because I ran out (so now I have more leftover laying around so it defeated the purpose lol). If I had to guess I still probably used about 1 full skein (Red Heart With Love yarn; 370 yards)
@@dyanarusaku24 I finished this project several months ago, so I don't really remember lol. I think I might have used the same number of stitches in the cuff and working up row by row from there, but I remember I definitely had more rows to make it large enough for me. I also decided to make it slightly longer than the original pattern called for (mostly by making the ribbing at the bottom bigger), so adding those additional rows might have added extra length but it didn't bother me. I largely played it by ear and tested how big it was by draping it over my shoulder to see if it was the right size? This probably wasn't helpful sorry, but good luck!

Hi Amanda, that really is amazing I'm so impressed! So this one is an adult size 10-12. To make a smaller size you can do a few less rows for the arm cuff ribbing and then do less herringbone rows to make it smaller overall 🙂

Hi! I'm interested in doing this jumper, but i'm concerned about how i can wash it later. Could u give me some advice for that, please? Thank u so much!
Hey glad you like it! Making the sleeves shorter wouldn't really work for this design, it would need some major adjustments to the pattern. But you can make it longer and bigger from starting the cuff further down your arm and making a bigger body piece. Hope you can make it work for you 💚

I was looking for a more "chill" crochet channel and I am so glad I found yours. I will definitely try to crochet this! Thank you for the fantastic tutorial!
Know what you mean, some channels are more "shrill" than "chill", lol. Great channel, brilliant top, I am going to try a mod to take the cuff from wrist to just before elbow and make the waist ribbing similarly deep from underbust to top of hips and I might add a slight peplum style mini skirt to the bottom of the waistband make it into a short dress?🤔

Hi! I'm just wondering how exactly you decide how many rows to add in the body portion? I see you did 47, but how did you measure to find out how many rows to add?
Hey thank you! I try to explain throughout how to adjust to your size, basically you will want to make the cuff fit around your arm first and then make more rows on the main body. This increases the overall size. You can try it on as you go and hopefully you make it fit perfectly 💚
if I want it to end at my hips and not my waist, would that mean I'd have really tall ribbing? Or should I be increasing more in each row apart from the first and last stitch?
If I want to make a full length top, as a curvy woman, “should” I make a long ribbing or begin with a herringbone for a bit before making a ribbing? Love the pattern, it looks super cute on! ❤
Hey thank you! If you'd like it longer you can increase the overall body pieces size, starting the ribbing/cuff further down your arm and working from there. Or as you also thought of you could extend the ribbing length at the waist. I think both could look great💚
Love this and want to make it for my daughter. I'm just confused. You say make two but then you line it all up to start connecting it it look like there's 4seperate parts. Can someone help me figure this out?
Going out on a limb that you’ll reply. How would you go about sizing this up? I’m learning how to crochet clothes, so I would appreciate the creators guidance! Thanks
Hey! You can start by measuring round your own arm so the cuff is comfortable for you, then you keep repeating the number of herringbone stitch rows until it fits comfortably to the other side to make the wrap. You can try it on as you go to help with this, essentially the more herringbone rows you do the bigger the piece will get. If you have any other questions during just let me know 💚
Hey thank you! One easy way is to extend the ribbing length at the waist. I also have another tutorial on my channel for a longer sleeved version where the body is also a bit longer too, that might help you out with adjustments. Hope you enjoy the tutorial 💚
Hey! I imagine it would have a different look/feel but cotton t shirt yarn tends to make very nice defined looking stitches so the herringbone pattern could look amazing! Maybe test out a bit and see if you like the look before starting the whole thing? Let me know how it goes 😊 x
Do you think that you could make the ribbed waist separately and add it to the sweater when you have the full width finished? It is so much easier to work on w/o the whole sweater hanging off of it. I usually carry my crochet to work to work on during breaks.
I used to do a lot of crochet in my twenties and thirties I have one question why crochet your seems I would have slip stitch what difference does the two methods make
Hey Sylvia! Personally I don't think it makes a big difference, I have always preferred doing sc stitches for seams on tops like this but slip stitch works just fine for some other projects! I suppose if you wanted very non-bulky seams on a project (like up on the shoulder area or somewhere visible) slip stitch could be better for that 🙃
I am almost done with one side of the sweater and I don’t have enough yarn . Sadly I used a vintage discontinued yarn which Is beautiful but cannot get anymore. I am short at least 50-70 grams…. Any ideas or suggestions to finish it? Thanks
Oh no I have had that happen to me before too! Perhaps use another colour to do the last few rows and edging and match that on the other side with a similar yarn? 🤔
This was my first time SUCCESSFULLY crocheting a garment. Your instructions were clear and straight to the point. Thank you.

Can you tell me how much yarn you used.
Rn I only have 150g of the colour I wanted to take
Hello around 400g DK weight for this size 🙃
Gorgeouss!! You and the sweater!!
If you have any other questions during just let me know 💚
I'll try it and back ❤
Looove this sweater can't wait to try this
Thank you so much 💚
Love it! But is there a way to make it longer in the torso area without messing up the design?
Hey thank you! One easy way is to extend the ribbing length at the waist. I also have another tutorial on my channel for a longer sleeved version where the body is also a bit longer too, that might help you out with adjustments. Hope you enjoy the tutorial 💚
Can we use t shirt yarn to make this...and will it be beautiful like this?
Hey! I imagine it would have a different look/feel but cotton t shirt yarn tends to make very nice defined looking stitches so the herringbone pattern could look amazing! Maybe test out a bit and see if you like the look before starting the whole thing? Let me know how it goes 😊 x
how much yarn would it take to make smth like this?
I love this and the color is so nice. I will definitely be making this in this color 1💜💜
Thank you so glad you like it 💚
Do you think that you could make the ribbed waist separately and add it to the sweater when you have the full width finished?
It is so much easier to work on w/o the whole sweater hanging off of it. I usually carry my crochet to work to work on during breaks.
Don't see why not, should have the same outcome! Would definitely make it easier to carry around 😄
Is the 21.5 diagonal measurement from the start of the cuff or from the start of the herringbone stitch?
@@MadeleineShirleyHow many grams Didi you use?
Just made one my self and I love it 😍. Do you have TikTok?
Amazing so pleased you love it! 💚 No I don't have TikTok at the moment, just Instagram and Pinterest x
