I wept when the Sheikh spoke in this lecture about one of his sheikhs asking him about his brothers and mentioning them by their names ten years after a previous meeting.
Mashallah imaam al ghazali has always fascinated me when I used to question Allah swt I used his wisdom to reason he always did may Allah be pleased with him and grant him jannah inshallah the he didn’t follow the crowd he kept his eye on the true prize which was to be humble and show humility gratitude for his beloved he respected everything but always insisted that everything has it’s place thank you shaykh hamza yusuf may Allah bless you for sharing your knowledge inshallah
