This man is so remarkable. Seeing Shaikh Hamza softens my heart alhamdulillah. Nobody alive today exemplifies the beauty of Islam the way he does. This is just my personal opinion. May Allah forgive us our shortcomings and grant us the beautiful character of RasūlAllāh صلى الله عليه وسلم that Shaikh Hamza so wonderfully displays.

My whole life I've wanted to see Sheikh Hamza Yusuf speak in person but he never came to my small city in Canada (that I know of) and I could never make it to the other cities he spoke in. Now I live in the UK and still wish and pray that one day I can attend even one of his lectures in person, insha'Allah. His way of teaching and understanding is a dying form and the new scholars, as excellent and knowledgeable as they are, cannot compare to the immense knowledge, intellect and way of explaining that Sheikh Hamza Yusuf does. May Allah always bless and guide him, Ameen.

I liked sheikh when i was in Pakistan, then Allah willed that I come to America but I was on east coast, I still wanted to see him in person, then Allah SW sent me to California, and now I think I have more chances of meeting with beloved sheikh. So may Allah SW also grant ways for your path. Meanwhile you are in UK I advise you to go and meet sheikh abd al hakim in Cambridge equally eloquent and humble human being, from whom I have benefited alot. May Allah bless you amern

I’ve met a lot of very very self-centered & abusive Muslims and it really hurts because it is in total contrast to what he is saying .
And they won't be the last you'll meet, follow Allah SWT , read the Qu'ran and follow the sunnah, it is Allah we worship and no one else, the world can get as rude as it wants

“The kid is imitating a film that he watched.” Wow. How true-how many violent films are made for psychopathic people’s entertainment, Astaghfirullah.
“So much abuse out there…how they’re being spoken to.”
I’ve met many abused people. Some react to people with violence of their own, which our Prophet prohibited unless defense of one’s creed was for Just War, a true concept in Islam…..
Others promise themselves never to become what abusers have done to them, (as in the case of blessed Sister Karen Armstrong).
Still others, become numb and do nothing when wrongs are done to women or children or decent men.
JazakAllah Khair, Imam, for the gentle inspiration again. Peace be upon Prophet Muhammad and all the Prophets who came before him.

I wonder if stupidity, hatred and passion are more tempting where environmental freedom is lacking. People live better where they have plenty of room to rumble.
Perhaps on the contrary-where too much freedom exists, people can become hypnotized by the excesses and become mindless or heedless as wastrels-a quality warned about by the Prophet, peace be upon him. A traveling friend noted that where there is little room to drive or park, people tend to become more polite and understanding-because one has to constrain himself, mindfully, (having to think about the family or community before oneself). Often people laugh at community service or living for one’s family members-but that work goes beyond survivalism Or Darwinian attitudes.
Similarly, in a family where too much leniency exists with no protocol to follow-only excess money, as in several Arabian countries that have given up the spiritual side of Islam, or parts of American life, where excess monies exist and excessive “needs” from greed-people tend to behave in stupid ways without realizing what they live for, why, and their larger purposes/porpoises in the vast sea of life. (Pun intended).
Our young people also drive like lunatics, even in residential areas. Sadly, instead of educating them like he is doing, some of our scholars post videos of themselves in fast cars, like our young people need more encouraging. 🤦🏼♂️
I am so confused when he quoted a weak Hadith "سافروا تغنموا"! Why?
dont focus negativity just appreciate all his work he has done, he is one greatest scholers in our time. say MashaAllah.
Weak hadith could be cited as encouragement on good deeds only , not and never as a source of ruling.
This is known between scolars of islam
I love Hamza. That is exactly why I was upset he did that. I liked when I was trusting every hadith he quoted. Now I have to double check all hadith.
There's nothing wrong in quoting a weak hadith especially if the hadith is quoted by an authentic scholar
Most muhadethen ranked this hadith as fabricated or odd. The rest said weak. Such hadith should only confirm things not bring something entirely new.
